We have a broad menu catering for all tastes with a fixed price for lunch and pre-theatre (£17 for two courses, £21 for three) and an a la carte (between £30 and £45 for 3 courses), and an extensive wine list starting at £20 and getting pretty high.
We are licensed for weddings, and can close for private hire on certain days of the week. If there's anything that you'd like to know, simply email email@example.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
yes was a very nice ambiance and lovely vibe, would recommend
Lovely evening for dinner outside. We started early but the service was very good and the food arrived punctually. Both dishes were well prepared and presented. Interesting conversation with the sommelier about some unusual but good value wines on the list. A very enjoyable evening.
Fredericks was superb. We just had two courses but both were absolutely delicious.
This is an amazing experience. All the staff are extremely (appropriately) friendly and attentive. The experience is enhanced by the Sommelier who is great at recommending the perfect wine for your palate, food choices and pocket. The food is exceptional and the space is creative and comfortable.
Enjoyed our meal, great value and very nice wine at a reasonable price. We have held wedding receptions and christenings here and never been let down. Highly recommended.
Excellent lunch. Superb venue & food. Definitely looking forward to the next visit
Sitting outside having lunch isn't something we get to do all that often in this country so sitting on the terrace sipping a pre lunch cocktail was a delight.
The small lunch menu with the recommended 500ml carafe of wine was delicious and reasonably priced for a restaurant of this quality in this area.
Staff and service and food were lovely. As it was colder than we had expected we asked to move tables. This caused no problem whatever. Frederick's is a wonderful place for special celebrations.
Always enjoy Frederick's. Just so reliable and thoroughly enjoyable. And its my local!
Fredrick's have kept to its traditional values but has kept evolving. The food is as good as ever with lots of space and you can hear each other talk.
However you do pay for this.
Beautiful to be able to sit outside on such a balmy evening. Food was amazing and we took advantage of the early-bird menu - such fantastic value. Food was absolutely delicious. Service wasn't as spot on as normal, taking a long time to take orders, politeness but our client still had a fantastic time in your little oasis!
For thirty years I have eaten at Frederick’s. The food is terrific, the service spot on and the ambiance, especially when the weather is good enough to eat on the terrace, is easy and relaxed.
The only reason I gave four stars overall is that my seafood risotto wasn’t quite as good as I would have expected from Frederick’s. The gazpacho however was terrific.
The really fabulous thing about Fredericks is the staff. They are all polite and well turned out, it appeared that they are happy in their work and nothing is too much trouble. The food was great. The wine menu is laid out differently to many others - but remembering this from previous visits I studied it on-line before setting off. The Sommelier was very helpful and had winsome approach. All in all a wonderful place to celebrate my wife's birthday.
Excellent service with great wine, friendly staff and great food. Highly recommended.
Haven’t been here for a while. It was as charming as ever and didn’t disappoint. We sat in the beautiful garden. Food was delicious and staff ever so efficient and friendly. It was a lovely afternoon and no mistake. Fredericks is a ( rightly so) much loved institution that has with stood the test of time but remains as fresh as ever. I
promise to return more often.
We had a great Friday lunch at Frederick’s. Their garden area was glorious in the sunshine, the food delicious and service attentive and friendly. We’ll be going back.
We just celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary - enjoying a delightful lunch in the garden. We will definitely be returning, the food was delicious and the service was fantastic thank you!
Fantastic lunch. Amazing food and service. Highly recommend.
This was a repeat visit to Frederics after quite a long absence and was very pleased to find it as excellent in all ways as it had been a year or two ago. Highly recommended!
Fantastic Restaurant. Although the food and wine were excellent - there were two factors for me as to why this was such a great evening.
1) Outside area - we had a table overlooking a lovely sunny and well kept lawn... in the middle of London.
2) The staff were the other highlight. So attentive, friendly and welcoming.
Bravo Frederick and your team. We shall be coming again.
Great Resturant 50 years old excellent food and service the gift that keeps on giving
Went for a family birthday and the restaurant is lovely and everyone's food was excellent. There was not a scrap left on any plate. The service was excellent not intrusive and always there when we needed anything.
One of my favourites, for a family lunch with children, a romantic dinner for 2 or a group of friends catching up over great food and cocktails
Best croque monsieur in London. A wonderful place to come for Saturday brunch. Quality and sophistication.
One of my new favourite restaurants. The food was amazing and the service was efficient and friendly. The atmosphere was lively too. Would definitely will be visiting again soon.
Wonderful lunch experience, food was excellent as was the service. I cannot recommend highly enough.
It may have just been an ‘off-night’ but over cooked duck and under cooked lamb didn’t quite make the price feel worth it...
Desert, service and ambience was however very good.
Very good food great service and ambiance
This is a great restaurant, I always enjoy eating here when I'm in London.
I have been going for about 30 years. It is always consistant with the quality of the food
The ambiance is great and very good service
A wonderful dining experience and that after 50 years and I have known Fredericks for 20.
lovely food in a relaxed atmosphere at reasonable prices
This is our six or sevenths visit. As always enjoyed visit to Fredrick's, visited for late lunch with friends, food excellent quality, friendly attentive staff excellent service.
Wine list extensive but a little overpriced with comparable wine lists from similar establishments.
But will definitely be returning.
Most of us had the fixed price special which offered a good choice at a very good price. The cocktails were amazing and the wines reasonable. All in all, a great experience, highly recommended!
Good experience as usual
My wife’s fish together with another guests was over cooked I am afraid hence my 3 stars only on food
Lamb was excellent fish poor
Frederick’s is like really good restaurants used to be. Interesting food, beautifully presented with excellent service in a garden setting, and all in the middle of town. Not a tasting menu in sight.
Great location close to Angel tube station but tucked away from the hustle and bustle with lots of space outside for al fresco in the sunshine and plenty of seats inside. The 3-course lunch set menu was great value with each course delicious and fresh. A new favourite as our pre-theatre destination when seeing shows at the nearby Almeida. Lovely ambience - relaxed yet elegant.
Fredericks is a wonderful restaurant! The main room is light and airyand pleasant place to be. On this occasion we were in the garden. Again this is very pleasant and reamarkably quiet. You forget you are in the middle of Islington!
We ordered from the prix-fixe lunch menu and the food was great: simple but tasty starters, a good range of mains and tempting deserts.
The service is friendly but professional. We were almost the last group to leave at the end of the lunch session but there was no pressure from staff to hurry us out.
Another great experience at Frederick’s- great atmosphere, great food and great value!
I have eaten here many times. New greeter I think who was a bit keen to get us seated whilst we were enjoying cocktails. Cant give 5 starts as we had to call for butter for bread and I think the beans were forgotten as they arrived a good bit after the mains. However Chateaubriand was all I could hope for and cooked prefectly.......for me.Will deffo call again.
As always, superb food, with excellent choices from the sommelier. A very enjoyable couple of hours here. Tattooed Eastern European serving staff detract slightly from the upmarket feel, but otherwise splendid.
