The food was excellent. The service was the worst service I have experienced in recent memory.
I made reservation on line for my Wife's Birthday, and stated that is was her Birthday.
We arrived a little early and they seated us. We got the menus and a bottle of San Pelligrino. We ordered our food and waited for bread. It never came. I asked for bread, they apologized, and it still didn't come. It finally came halfway through our meal. Again.. the food was wonderful.
We then ordered coffee and dessert. The coffee came about 10 minutes, lukewarm. By the time the dessert came, much later, our coffees were finished. The staff never acknowledged my wife's Birthday (I saw it done for 2 other tables).
As a side note, the restaurant, at that time was NOT busy. I would say 50% occupied at that point.
The dessert was on the tray of food for another table. Our waitress, finally saw it and brought it over. At that point, I cancelled it and expressed my displeasure with the service. The waitress was a young blond woman, and our table was in the back left of the back room.
When I told her I was not happy with the service, she turned her back to me and said, in a very snotty manner, "OK, thank you". And she waked away.
I am a former restaurant owner and it just angered me to no end to have such great food with such terrible service.
I spoke to the young lady at the front station and asked to talk to a manager. She went out of her way to search for him, but, couldn't find him.

Sorry we were late for our 5:30 reservations on sat. 4/14. 95S in N.Attlebor was backed up due
to a rv on fire....this it took us 3 hours from Boston triple the usual time. But we did show and had an excellent supper.

The staff was incredible, so friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. My wife had the Filet Mignon and I had the Halibut....both were cooked to perfection. We even got to meet Fred Smerlas, one of the owners. He was nice enough to stop by our table and ask if everything was alright. We will definitely be back.

It was our first time there. We each were more than happy with the entree choices we made. A helpful hint - the sides are HUGE so one would be more than enough for two to share.

Excellent meal. We never get to dessert because the bread, steaks and sides are so filling. It's really nice for a special occasion (like my birthday). My wife enjoys the food, too. It's a little pricey but we have our rewards points to compensate.

8 pm reservations. 840 before someone took our drink order. Tables around us sat 15 minutes later and got food and left 30 min before us. Managers walking by without asking if we needed anything. Kinda bummed. Last tune we ate there 10 years ago was great

My husband and I had the calamari, lobster bisque, and Cesar salad. All was pretty good. For entree, we shared the 48 oz Porterhouse steak. We had it medium rare. It was cooked perfectly and tasted very good. Our waitress, Jasmine and her team was excellent. They were very attentive. The restaurant is located in the smoking section of the casino. The cigarettes smoke is very strong. Make sure you request a table at the back end of the restaurant.

I drive 150 miles round trip to have dinner at Fred&Steve's. I love it there. The food has never, ever disappointed , the service is prompt and professional and they have a very inclusive wine list. My last time there was for dinner with your hosts. I had swordfish Provencal and it was lovely. I highly recommend it for any occasion.

The food was wonderful. I was a little disappointed that the prime rib was only available with a temp of medium and up as that is what I went for. They had a problem with their cooker that day. The 48 ounce Porterhouse for 2 was a great substitution! I will be back to try the prime rib!

Have had dinner here before so to have poor service was very disappointing. We were served our initial cocktails & were never asked if we wanted another. After our waiter delivered our meals no one checked on us again. Just an overall underwhelming experience & not worth the money.

Ordered a steak - assumed I would get what I ordered a medium well filet..... came out so overdone, I had to send it back.. I waited, and waited and then waited some more... after a thirty minute wait, it came out. Raw... as in purple. Sent it back. Even after NOT eating, still spent over $110 and left disappointed and hungry....
Awful experience. AWFUL!

OK place for steak, definitely not the best in RI. Host/hostess start the experience on a depressing / low quality note. Food quality and server were good, except that the steaks weren't cooked the way the server had described....e.g. medium well was described as pink in the middle but came out bloody and red.

We won't go back. Food was not worth the money. We expect high quality when paying high prices. We could have gotten a better meal at a lower end steak house. Also, not worth the drive and walking through a crowded smoky casino.

food was good, but I had the 14 oz filet med rare, (48.00) ala cart, came out rare and my spouse had the 16 sirloin ordered med rare, (42.00)came out medium, so I think when your spending this kind of money for a steak, the steak should be spot on, it wasn't and the flavor was nothing exceptional, but every thing else was good.

Waiter acted indifferent to my needs. The other waiters were very attentive and friendly. The 70 dollar paella was a big waste of money. The prosciutto wrapped asparagus was dry and tasteless. Really liked the wine glasses. Overall not impressed.

We have eaten at Fred & Steve's a lot since it opened. On this occasion it was a delayed Valentines dinner cause I work 2nd shift. I ordered the Grass fed Ribeye with a side of asparagus. And my wife ordered the Prime Rib with Cheddar mashed potatoes. Everything was great and as usual we will come back again. The only thing I would recommend is bring back triple points on Wednesday and Thursday. I would dine more often.

I have been going since you opened and have always been a fan, until now. In the past I'd compare F&S's as a northern RI option to Capital Grille or Fleming's. This Saturday at best comparable to longhorns without the price difference of course. Really bummed out as we took friends for their 1st time. Cooking a steak medium is a bare minimum requirement for a steak house not an art. Hoping it was an off night.
