Fred and Steve's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
My third visit here. Food is always great. Though service is always great, our server Joe went above and beyond. Great recommendations on the menu, food wasn't rushed out and he comped our dessert. Over all a nice relaxing night out. I'll definitely return and request the same server.
Another excellent dining experience at Fred & Steve's Steakhouse. We all raved about our meals and the service we received by the knowledgeable staff. A definitive return visit is in order whether we are there to gamble or not.
If your in the Lincoln Rhode Island area; pay them a visit; you won't be disappointed.
Service was excellent. My steak was very overcooked but didn't notice until after server checked on us and felt was too late to say. My friends steak was cooked perfectly. She really enjoyed her meal. Probably just a fluke. Hadn't had a bad meal there prior to this visit.
We have been to Fred and Steve's many times and the food is always great. The server we had this time was fantastic. His name was Brian. We've also had Errol in the past and he is great too! The filet was cooked to perfection and the bacon wrapped scallops were also amazing. It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary!
I was really impressed with dinning, but, For the price on the menu, one would expect tablecloths on the tables. Errol and his crew was great, but there was a long period of time between the salad and the main course. I would also state that the Manager walked around, and introduced himself, but never made it to my table, and I was looking him in the eyes. I really, from the bottom of my heart, to thank the staff for the outstanding dessert, that was given to us towards our anniversary, and the voice of Errol, was overwhelming.
Great steak and specials.... service just okay. Waited 15 minutes with just water before waitress introduced herself and drinks ordered and another 10 minutes before they arrived at the table. Restaurant was also very noisy, might have been better in a booth.
From the time you are greeted until the time you leave, someone is there to say hi and ask you how you are doing. The addition of a second waiter or waitress helps with the times that you need something, and with the overall experience, and reminds you that this is not any ordinary restaurant. I always get the filet mignon barrel cut, which is the best I have ever had, and my girlfriend got the stuffed jumbo shrimp imperial, which she said it was the best seafood dish she had ever had. Keep doing what you're doing and everyone will keep coming back for more.
The service was great from the bartenders to the wait staff. Unfortunately the food is so over- priced that we will never go back. I guess if you just won money on the slot machines and you want to splurge it's good for you. We like nice up-scale restaurants and don't have a problem paying for a good meal but this was just ridiculous for average food. I've had much better filet mignon in the $30 price range. The calamari appetizer was very good and a decent price. But they rob you with the mediocre entrees.
Food is tremendous. Porterhouse for two is a superb choice. Fred came over and sat with my wife and I. Not the first time he has done this. Walks and around and talks to all his patrons. He is a great guy, very nice. Actually cares about the people and their feedback. You won't be disappointed!!!!
Absolutely great, my wife and I were celebrating her birthday. We had a wonderful night thanks to Brian, Eric and a special thanks to Zach. The food as always was excellent. My wife had filet mignon and I had the filet oscar, cooked to perfection. The staff surprised my wife with birthday dessert which certainly helped make her night . Topped off the meal with a margarita, it doesn't get much better than that.
A little pricey, but excellent food and very good service. Dining room was very noisy. We were there to hear Michael Dutra sing Frank Sinatra tunes. Obviously no one else cared. Conversations were very loud and voices carried. Not a good venue for entertainment or an intimate dinner. Good for a night out with friends or business associates.
Not kid friendly; should be noted in website that if you are bringing kids to dinner that the only access is in south entrance. We were turned away in north and west entrances. In addition, it's not conducive for older folks since the restaurant is tucked away in the end of south entrance. Took forever to get there between my 10 year old and my 83 year old mother. Now for the food... Super pricey!! Not justified for the poor ambience, decor, table arrangement (no linen on table!) and weak wine list. Overall, not comparable to Ruth's Chris or capital grille for the same price. The only good thing about the place is the rib eye (perfectly grilled); the sides were ok - potato au-grautin was bland, asparagus was nice and thin, and sweet corn seemed like it came from can. The salmon dish was good with green beans and couscous. Definitely not going here again - not for the price. Would rather spend top $$ at other steakhouses.
