We did not order calamari as an appetizer but it was sent to our table and wee were informed we we would not get charged for it but it was added to the bill which was unfair cost.
Great food. On the pricy side.
The food was excellent, the drinks delicious and the ambience was wonderful, but I have always thought that the best part of dining at Fred and Steve's was the staff. The staff is attentive, friendly and professional. It was a great dining experience.
Fred and Steve's steakhouse by far is the best steakhouse my wife and I have ever eaten at. My steak was cooked just right, my wife's shrimp as she indicated to me, was OUTSTANDING! Would I recommend Fred and Steve's, already did, to my friend and brother. Waitress and service was also OUTSTANDING! The prices were just right, not to expensive and not to cheap. I will go again and again...
Great job, keep up the good work.
Great as usual !
Steak were perfect and service was the best !
Our waiter Brian was outstanding and alert very helpful and fast
Food was cold . Overpriced .
Food was really good and our servers were excellent.
Way too much noise. (singing birthday celebration completely unnecessary - I did not pay the prices to feel like I was at Chuck E Cheese)....
Au Gratin Potatoes non-existent in the dish....over cooked and mostly cheese (burnt cheese at that).
My first experience there years ago was excellent....seems like it turned into an over-priced fast food restaurant. There is no ambiance so consequently, you should lower your prices so that people don't mistakenly take this as a fine dining experience.
Out of a Party of 6 I didn’t get my meal, it came out after every one was done. We had to ask for entree to be removed from the bill it was not offered. The manager sent over a desert but didn't come over in person to apologize. We were seated in an area that was a wait staff setup area lots of noise and traffic. The prices were too high for the meals without sides. Overall poor experience
At the end of my meal I found two small pieces of hair in my plate I think it came from the potato’s I wanted to show the server but I went to the rest room and they took the plate.
The service was great just the issue with the hair.
As always service excellent. Treated well. Food delicious. Stuffed shrimp good but wish I had ordered steak. My fault. Calamari great. Another good meal
Food was good as always waitress was slow didn’t seam to want to be there there was a water spill and the waitress couldn’t reach the middle of the table so my party had to clean it up for her THEN she never brought back any linen that we used to clean up the water.
Absolutely loved the food and service. Since dining in a high end restaurant, I would lexoect to see a dress code. Guests were in jeans and t shirts. Not what I expected to see.
My wife and I enjoyed an excellent dinner! From the moment we arrived we were greeted by exceptional people. They were upbeat, friendly and very considerate of our preferences. We have been here before and wanted a window view overlooking the casino. The person at the desk said that our table would be available shortly. We sat in the waiting area and she came over within 5 minutes and said that it wouldn't be much longer. Sure enough, she came over a couple of minutes later and escorted us to our table. Shortly, we were greeted by a server who offered us water, then someone came over with bread and butter. Then the waitress came over to take our order. Everyone treated us like VIP Guests. The service was super. I was surprised since there was a dinner promotion going on which I was not aware of. That made no difference in how quickly we were served. Our appetizers arrived promptly and looked delicious. My clam chowder was served piping hot, the way I like it. My wife's salad was great. Then our dinner was served. Both were served hot and both were delicious. The waiter asked me to cut the prime rib to make sure it was cooked properly and asked my wife to cut into the lamb chops. Both were cooked perfectly. A server came by later and asked how everything was. A very enjoyable experience. There was definitely a concentration on details and that made a big difference. Oh, by the way, I made reservations to come back in March.
Service wasn’t great at all. Clams casino wasn’t good. But I must say my steak was cooked to perfection and that’s what I went there for.
Great food slow service good atmosphere was there with a party of 4 was seated some people were late and the hostess said we were not seated yet
Food was amazing and our service was great! Super busy and the servers crushed it!
Already have referred the restaurant to several groups of people. It was a nice dining experience and would go back again. Service was spot on, wait time for dinner was minimal, and food was cooked to perfection!
Food and drinks where great but a little pricey. The back dining was very noisy due to some big parties, but once they left the noise seemed to Deminish. I would recommend some type of sound absorbing panels to muffle the sound but I’m no sound engineer.
Didn’t acknowledge birthday even though I mentioned it
It was great my barrel cut filet was cooked to a perfect medium rare and I really enjoyed the chowder.
I have been there several times and this was by far my worst experience. Our waiter, mistakenly put steamed little necks on our table. Once he found out they were not ours, he located the correct table and brought the dish to them. In short, gross. Also, my wifes filet order of med-well came out well done and dry, and my bone in ribeye of med-rare came out med-well/well done. By the time they redid both our orders we were ready to leave. They left the lobster Mac and cheese that we picked at. They did not handle the situation well. They offered a shrimp app or a dessert which we did not want. I thought they would have taken off the apps we did have off the bill but they did not. Overall it was a disappointing belated valentines date dinner I had with my wife. However, life isn’t that bad if a bad night and Fred and Steve’s is the worst thing that could happen. Although your dining experience was poor, my wife and I still had a great date night.
Very good. Mashed potatoes a little dry. Only major problem was bus boy. We asked to have nachos to go. He took them and then put someone else's napkin on top of them! He then boxed them to go. Gross.
Fred and Steve's is located in the Twin River Casino. It is on the second floor away from all the gambling. It has a nice bar and a more casual feeling in the front, the back is a nice restaurant with tablecloths and a more sophisticated look. They are very friendly, and remember you the next time you go. The service is excellent with two people waiting on a table. Everyone who works there has been there a long time and make sure everyone is well taken care of. The food is very good and their specials, though expensive, are worth ordering. If you are not that hungry, they have a large crock of onion soup , several appetizers, and a variety of large salads. They have great crusty bread which my husband and I love. If you want to gamble, but also want a Saturday night restaurant, try Fred and Steve's.
Went here for Valentine’s Day, but 2 days late where it was on Thur this year. Everything here was just ok. We had to wait for our table even though we had a reservation. We had to wait for the waiter to order drinks. We didn’t get a drink/ wine menu so we had wing it. They didn’t tell us the specials but I heard other waiters telling other tables. I guess we don’t rate the specials. No pre fix menu on valentines at a steak house really? Menu are huge and a. Pain to manage. Food took forever and was ok. It could have been better for 48.00 for a steak. I would recommend Fleming’s in the city or David Burke down at Foxwoods over this restaurant. When I go there they make me feel special. Here was like a fancy outback .
This was the 5th time my wife and I had dinner at Fred & Steve's. Before the service was good, meal was perfect and the staff was in top form. We booked a table in advance and were seated at a bar area seat first. we declined this and then had to sit in the back. This was a special dinner and it was noted on Open Table. We will not be back their anytime soon or will use open table.
This was our first visit and we were very impressed. The atmosphere and service was outstanding. I just wish we didn’t have to walk through the smokey casino. That was the only downside.
Great food. Very procey though. Fred was there but he only greeted a few people
Best steak ever clam chowder was perfect and oysters were perfect everything was perfect and so good
I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Fred & Steve's. I have been there several times before and had an excellent experience. This time was so bad I will probably never go back again. I brought another couple who had never been there before and they were disappointed as well. I ordered Surf and Turf and they brought me a Petite Filet. I ordered it medium well and it was beyond over cooked, I could barely chew it. It was on a huge plate all by itself without even a remote bit of garnish. The other guests had NY Sirloins and they were both said their steaks were tough and had no flavor. We did complain to the waitress (we had 2 waitresses by the way who did not communicate with each other) and she did provide a complementary dessert and expresso.
What was even more disappointing was that the manager walked by our table several times throughout the evening (we were there over 2 hours) and never approached the table to see how the food was. This to me is highly unusual in a higher end restaurant. Even after we complained about our steaks no manager came to the table to apologize or to get more information.
When you are spending $400 on a meal and an evening out, you expect the highest quality food as well as excellent service. At this point in time I would never recommend Fred & Steve's to anyone.
So noisy we could not have a conversation. Not just noise but very loud, obnoxious patrons. Complained but nothing was done
Food took over a 1hr to get
The waitress was terrible and unfriendly
Nick the server was EXCELLENT!!! Thank you for a great experience
My husband and I went for Valentine’s Day. We ended up sitting in the bar area at a side table by the windows. It was a little noisier because of that and not as romantic for Valentine’s Day. The steak ordered wasn’t cooked properly but they did comp us dessert and coffee. Our servers were great Marie and Steven.
Fred and Steve's is always a great experience. We even went back Sunday night to eat there again.
My husband and I had dinner there on Valentine's Day service was perfect and food would have been great only the fish was overcooked. We would still recommend friends and return for another chance.
Thank you for you're service
The scallop app was phenomenal, got to have it again, but the steak was so so for the price and the fact that it was the special in addition the potatoes were cold.....nice ambiance, quiet, very manly... service was above average
Service was poor bordering on horrible. Ordered two carpaccio appetizers, which I order regularly at any restaurants that have it on their menu, and it was the smallest portion I have ever been served, as well as being tasteless. One arrived on time, the other took over 15 minutes to show. And when it did, it was actually thrown on the table. Although the restaurant is non smoking, the smell from the casino permeates the area. I have dined at all the top steak restaurants in RI and I can say honestly that Fred and Steve’s fails on every level.
We’ve dined here many times. Food is always well prepared although this visit the 3 sides we ordered were luke warm and the carrots and couscous that came with the salmon were undercooked (carrots) and over cooked so they were mush (couscous). It’s the first time we ran into this so I’m sure it was an off day.
