Fraticelli's Italian Grill and Bar is driven by one simple principle… create a great Italian impression. Or as the Italians often say… "fare una bella figura."
Like our 13 provinces and territories, Italy has 20 wonderful regions, each one more adamant than the other that they have the best food in the country. Our menu at Fraticelli's is to serve you the best of the best from these wonderful regions. Our steaks are cooked over a high heat wood-fire grill made famous in Tuscany. Our pastas are fresh and our sauces are homemade ranging from the classic northern dish Pappardelle Bolognese to the southern Sicilian style seafood pasta, Spaghetti Pescatore. The pizzas are served Napoletana; style, thin crust and stone baked at 750 degrees. All made with the freshest ingredients available, authenticated with imported Italian plum tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, and the best grated cheeses.

Fraticelli's Italian Grill - Appleby Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant was just okay. It was really noisy and tables are really close together. Word to the wise - don't order off menu. I wanted a simple spaghetti and meat ball dinner (it is an Italian restaurant after all). They charged me $27 (third most expensive meal on the menu). I didn't even get spaghetti - it was a thick doughy noodle that was under cooked. Disappointed.
Our server Sara was OK we saw her three times at the table take our order deliver our drinks half way through the application, and then after our meal. We had to ask for water twice and had to request cheese and pepper with our meals...unfortunate for an excellent meal
Food was good and service was fast. Our waitress had a bit of attitude. She wasn’t that friendly and when asked about a salad dish if it was changed, she said it’s always been like that, I’ve been here since the restaurant opened and that never changed in a very unfriendly tone.
Have been to this restaurant at least 5 x's. Maybe just a bad night, not sure. Appetizer arrived as we were eating our 1st Course of Soup and Salad. Then had to wait 30 minutes for main course of pizza that was very oily and under cooked on top, but too crisp on bottom. It was actually burned black. Even if cooked in stone oven, this was unacceptable. This is the first time we have had a bad experience here.
One of my worst dining experiences ever! Had a party of eleven. When entrees arrived only 9 plates were brought to the table and most of these were dry and appeared to have been sitting for some time under heat lamps. The remaining 2 plates were not brought to the table until virtually everyone was done their meal. Complained twice to manager and received a very insincere apology. The 2 late entrees were removed from the bill but no other concession was made to make up for the extreme delay and inconvenience it caused the whole party, and to entice us to come back in hopes of a better experience. We even indicated that, had everyone at the table waited to eat out meals together, we would have all would've had cold meals. Nevertheless the manager seemed not to care and undetermined to maintain a good customer experience. Plus, to top it all off, one guest was served a glass of wine where which smelled of bleach. Perhaps it was the remnants of chlorine from sanitization but it was undrinkable. We will NEVER return. 11 customers lost for good...and will do what we can to discourage others from patronizing this establishment. Horrible experience!!
Good appetizers. Good wine offerings. The brocolini was super salty. The seafood pasta was requested to be non-spicy but came with so little sauce there where plain white pasta clusters in the dish. Our waitress did not know how to open a wine bottle (did it for her so as to not break the cork). Very noisy, more bar level noise than sit down dinner levels expected.
We went for dinner and if it wasn't for the smoke coming from the pizza ovens, we would have rated it higher. Our server was lovely and the food was good (loved the bread!). If we came back we would definitely ask for a table on the other side away from the pizza ovens.
We enjoy coming to Fraticelli's as the food has always been good. With our last visit this was not so much the case. The chicken marsala feature was a good as always, but the salmon meal was not as ordered. It was supposed to be medium well, but was overdone, and slightly burnt on the bottom. The potato wedges were dry, quite hard, and tasteless. Should have said something but did not as the service was excellent, as was our dessert.
They need to review both the content and presentation of their pizzas. It was the worst one my husband has ever eaten. My brother asked for a slice of cucumber with his gin and was told "we donlt have any". Does the restaurant honestly not serve cucumber with their salads? We were served by at least 3 people - very confusing. The noise level was too high. Apart from the pizza, the food was good.
Great place to eat! The food has always remained top notch and the atmosphere is very comforting but the service is by far the best part! We were checked on regularly but not rushed and everyone was very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! Great work
We were there this past Saturday (September 2, 2017) which was our 3rd trip and we have never been let down yet.
The greeter was polite and the service overall was excellent.
I had the Gnocchi w/ four cheese sauce and it was amazing. The portion looked small at first glance but I was filled nicely by the end of it. I also split the Tuffo which is my favorite appetizer.
To close off the night I had the Cheesecake. Definitely a great overall performance and there will be many more returns.
I'd twice at this restaurant before with a friend for lunch during the week and had pleasant experience including good food and competent service at a reasonable price. On this occasion, a Sunday brunch, I'd invited friends for our 50 years of friendship celebration. The music was deafening and the volume didn't get turned down in spite of two requests. Our friends were upset as it was difficult environment for a good conversation. At one point we considered leaving in the middle of the meal. The food presentation from the kitchen was sloppy, large portions on a small plate and excessively greasy. One person didn't get what she had ordered for main course. Very poor overall.
We were celebrating a birthday. We ate at the Appleby location when it first opened and had
a very delicious dinner with excellent service. To celebrate our special occasion we knew we
had to return. This time the food was so-so. There was not enough sauce on the pasta and it
tasted blah. I was pretty sure that there used to be more items on their menu - this time it
was 1 page. I don't think we will be returning. What a disappointment as we were really looking
forward to a repeat of the first time.

I had an arugula salad with beets, goat cheese and steak. It was good, though a smaller portion size for a meal salad. I appreciated the decaf option for cappucino after dinner and it was very good, though was served with the tiniest biscotti I ever seen. A punishment for us not ordering dessert perhaps?? My friend and I were seated in a row, as opposed to a booth, and we couldn't see any reason for the hostess seating us there as the restaurant was not busy at all on a Friday evening and there were plenty of booths available. When we were first seated, there was an empty table between us and another large party, so we didn't ask to be moved, but later on, a couple was seated right next to us, less than 2 feet away. It was super awkward because one of the patrons was staring at me the entire time and trying to listen to our conversation (???). We had to shift our chairs over. Awkward!! I understand if it's a very busy place but really, it's Burlington and the restaurants was half empty at least. Anyway, our waitress was very friendly and pleasant, though I really think people in the food service industry should ensure they have clean hair for their shifts. I really hope this "no shampoo" craze ends soon.
I specified in my reservation that it was for a 14th Birthday we were with our grand daughter . There was no meantion from the waitress and no offer of dessert so a little disappointing. Also waitress was neglectful. At the end of our meal she actually asked me to pass her my plate I just looked at her in surprise. My husband said to her "do you think your at home". I said no I have a bad shoulder and she should come pick it up herself!
Portions too small even while we asked for the larger portion and extra chicken. Quality below normal, my pizza was not cooked and Too oily on the bottom with left a greasy and needed to be redone while my party finished eating. I ate a slice and packed the rest.
Overall good food. One dish came very spicy even though it was asked and double verified to be made not spicy. It was remade but came at the end of everyone else's meal. Waitress followed up asking if the remade dish was better not knowing it had not been provided yet (too busy / lack of attention to fixing errors). Sat in booth near bar. Although the bar was mostly empty (total of 2 people there) it was fairly noisy (echos from rest of restaurant?). Food was nicely hot unlike some reviews we read before going. We would go again, not for a quiet dinner though. Good food, with pub atmosphere, room to improve with service.
We had a family birthday with 8 people - None of us have ever been, but have heard good reviews. IT WAS AMAZING - the food was delicious, our waitress "Marlie" was outstanding and put up with our craziness. We all said from now on all family get togethers will be a Fraticelli's.
