   Our server, Ben H., was very attentive and personable. He thought of everything we might need even before we did! It was especially appreciated as we had taken my sister out for her birthday. She has dementia and lives in a facility in Appleton. We drive 2 1/2 hours from the northwoods to take her out once a month. She (and we) always feel at home at Fratello's. The filet was so flavorful (her words).

   This is the restaurant we all enjoy. Pescatarian and omnivore alike - there’s something for everyone. Great service. Nice ambiance. And the wait staff is amazing!

   Half empty restaurant but could not book window 1 day in advance. Miss-served main course. When correct entree arrived it was day old and cold. Wine "Jordan Russian River" was excellent as usual. Staff seemed very early in careers. Order a steak or wait until they get the house in order---order rare so you can send it back!

    My parents were visiting. My dad is a James Beard award winning chef and my folks have been restaurant owners and in the business for over 40 years… They can be difficult to impress, but they love the food and waitstaff at Fratellos. My dad is particularly impressed with the Octopus.

    We took our 6 year old to a fancy restaurant, which made my husband insecure thinking we were making a poor decision. I brought her to reward her for completing 100 days of 1st grade at a new school. They made her feel like a million bucks and it made her night! On top of that, the food was outstanding!

    We went to Fratellos especially for restaurant week and looked at the menu beforehand, so we knew what we would order. Fratellos had a nice selection in the set menu, definitely something for everyone. Food was really good, and the plates were gorgeous. Our server, Vanessa was very friendly and answered all of our questions with a smile. Although I haven't been to Fratellos in a long time, I'd definitely go again soon.

    Our dining experience at Fratello’s was wonderful. Our server was great, she handled everything with excellence. Our guests from out of town that everything was great. The birthday surprise brought the evening to the next level.

    Had a great meal. Our server Tonya was very attentive to the smallest detail. Could tell she was a pro frm the get-go. Haven't been here since the "pandemic" n glad to see everything's business as usual. Food was fantastic as well. Looking forward to our next visit.

    Service was outstanding. 1 of our 4 meals was mediocre at best. While the scallops were delicious the Peruvian potatoes were cold and very off pudding in color. The potatoes also covered a third of the entire plate.

    Sat at table with great views of the Fox River. Saw a bald eagle fly by. Food was delicious, our cocktails (Old Fashioned) were tasty and the service was great. We’ll definitely be back.

    Chef doesn’t seem to know how to cook a steak. Asked for medium rare and medium. Received medium well and well done. Sent the well done steak back to try to get medium rare. Received another medium well steak. At this point I didn’t want to wait another half hour, so said it was fine. The server was very apologetic, and took care of us.

    Raul, our server was so kind and helpful when explaining items on the agenda. He was very attentive to how our food was and in fact went the extra mile to make sure everyone had a great experience. Thanks for making our night out with friends very enjoyable. Will certainly recommend that our family and friends visit.

    Fratello’s is my favorite restaurant in the Appleton, Wi area. It has wonderful ambience with its huge windows overlooking the Fox River and beautiful architecture. The food is always delicious and the service is wonderful… very friendly and the waitstaff I’ve had are knowledgeable about wines and the menu! One of the things I also really appreciate is that the acoustics are good and tables are spaced out enough that you can carryon a nice conversation. This is my go-to place for a dinner in an upscale but very relaxed atmosphere.

    This was our second visit to Fratello’s, and we were as pleased as the first time. The white chicken chili was excellent, the perch fried to perfection (moist, not overcooked), the salad fresh. The diver scallops were wonderful, also perfectly cooked. The only disappointment was the octopus, which was overcooked and therefore on the chewy side. The desserts were also excellent— we had the hazelnut flute, the mixed berry flute, and the cheesecake. All terrific endings to a wonderful meal. And to top it all off, the service was friendly and efficient. Fratello’s is our new go-to whenever we’re in Appleton.

    Service was terrific, if a bit overly attentive. But the walleye was way underseasoned as was the chicken vodka penne. Both dishes were really bland. Some butter, salt and pepper could have helped the walleye. The octopus presentation was pretty spectacular. The diner of that dish thought it was very good.

    Our hostess greeting was very good. I requested window area & she said she would find us when ready. Matt the waiter very friendly. When I asked for special preparation of my dish, no problem, he repeated my request, & later asked me if it was prepared as I requested. Excellent evening.
