Birthday-loved the sparklers in the cupcakes.

We came in on the Sunday night of a snowstorm but it didn't stop us from making our reservation! Carissa & Staff made us feel very welcome and we able to get a lovely table next to the window overlooking the water! Food was delicious and our Date night was a success!

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner. They were kind enough to provide us a table by the window as requested and our waiter was excellent (sorry I can’t recall his name). Our meals were very good as well. Overall a five star experience!

My first experience with booking an RSVP through Open Table. Was most pleased with the ease of it all. Have been to Fratellos many times in all seasons. In reading the reviews from October, was a bit surprised at some of the negatives. Fortunately, I scrolled down and they were more favorable back in September and further back. Our food was delicious: three of the four dining chose different menu items and we all loved our meals, presentation was appealing and loved our view of the rushing white water through the dam. Our waitress, Lexi, was most helpful and courteous, and checked back on us. Great atmosphere, well kept, and clean lavatories. We'll be back:)

Food not good

Awesome atmosphere...love the bar area ..I was surprised it wasn’t busier for a Friday night and they seemed way over staffed. Fish tacos were so blah and so disappointing! French fries were awesome. I would go back for a drink but not to eat.

The menu was great however the food was served cold and lackluster. The crab Benedict was imitation crab and the breakfast tacos had no flavor. Portions were also on the smaller side. We also asked for an order to go at the end of the meal and the waitress forgot about it. Beautiful location with a lot of potential but food left a ton to be desired.

Breakfast was a small portion for the $ and dried out.

Everything was wonderful . Beautiful setting right next to the river.

Our first time at Fratello’s and we were very pleased. Jeremy, our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and checked back with us on a regular basis to make sure everything was going well.
Our food was delicious and plated beautifully. I had the ahi tuna salad, my husband had the steak burger. Our friends had the fish tacos and the bam bam shrimp. All delicious. We will return!

We had excellent service. The food was outstanding with a variety of food choices for different palettes.

Everything as it should be. Seated ahead of time. Friendly staff, prompt service. Great food and atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Great restaurant in the Fox Valley. Visiting for weekend from Chicago and we were looking for something other than burgers or pizza. Fratellos didn't disappoint! Solid food, drinks and tasty dessert to boot. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a restaurant on the nicer side with a smaller menu focused on quality.

We had a last minute date night. We decided on Fratello's and we were happy for the choice! Food was good (cheese board was ok, but not great compared to other restaurants). Our Steak and Scallops were both cooked to the perfect enjoyment (medium and medium rare for the steaks and they did both perfectly!...Scallops were done to perfection as we've had them taste rubbery before, but these were cooked very well and loved them!). The atmosphere with the river was beautiful and we plan to go again in the future when visiting the Appleton Area for Theater!

The food was excellent, served hot and with an appropriate portion. The server was excellent and attentive. An enjoyable lunch was had by the three of us.

The service was the best I have received in a long time. However the entree was mediocre..I have had better food here in the past. They just rolled out a new menu so that may be part of the problem.

The only real down side is that we were seated in a corner next to the wait station. Being an 8:15 reservation, there was a lot of activity at that station with the wait staff cleaning up and preparing to close. Was very distracting from what otherwise would have been a very good dinner.

Our house experience started out great! Parking was easy, we were greeted right away and seated immediately. Our server was amazing and did a great job explaining the menu. When our food arrived or was plated so beautiful and tasted delicious!

We always have a wonderful meal. The view an the service is excellent. We had drinks at the bar and the bartender was fun and expert. My old fashioned was the best!

Great view! Especially if you can get a table next to the window.

Food was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic.

The parmesan mushroom soup was horrid. So much garlic you couldnt eat it. Other than that it was a fantastic experience. Good food, nice presentation, great view.

We were visiting Appleton for the weekend. The place looks like it would be a nice restaurant, but the food was extremely underwhelming. The salmon special had almost no taste. My wife had the fish tacos which “looked good”, but it was tasteless. The shrimp appetizer was just blah...it was obvious that everything was frozen - nothing fresh.
Very small crowd for a Friday evening during typical rush time. That was probably a good indicator of the quality of food. If visiting again, I’ll find another place.

Excellent place. Great food and service and the view was to die for. I recommend the sweet potato cheese cake it was AWESOME

My girlfriend eats like a bird, so I knew that she wouldn't be maxing the check out. WE started with the cheese curds, which were as good as any in the area! She had a cup of White Chicken Chili (she LOVED it!) and I had the Pan-Seared Walleye. With the side of garlic infused butter, I was in heaven. Our waiter was quick and courteous and the bartender (pre-meal) was top notch as well. One of the best dining options in the Fox Valley!

I had expected a much nicer restaurant. This is definitely NOT fine dining. It was "okay" but not much better than a chain restaurant. All of the bugs on the INSIDE of the windows facing out to the river probably didn't help. And, the waitress uncorked our wine and just started pouring. I had to stop her to ask her to let someone test it; just common practice in most restaurants. Go but don't expect too much.

Great staff, great food and great location! Not my first time there and won’t be the last.

I would expect more to eat, for the cost, of some of the items on the menu.

We reserved online with Open Table and asked for a riverfront view and received just that. Great view! The food was incredibly good and the ambience wonderful. Would highly recommend this restaurant and the sea bass/Barimundi dinner! We had drinks at the bar while waiting for our friends and the mojitos were fabulous and bartenders attentive.

The three of us came for a birthday dinner celebration. Matt was our server and astonishingly remembered our drink order from the last time we had visited Fratellos several weeks earlier. What a memory he has! We had enjoyed talking with him that time when he was working the bar, and we were so glad to have him as our server for this time. After cocktails arrived, we ordered the Spinach and Artichoke dip appetizer and a plate of the Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese curds. They came right away and we noshed while talking and drinking. Matt has a great personality and gave us impeccable service.

For entrees we selected the Braised Beef Ravioli, the Carbonara, and the Char Grilled Chicken Melt. The Ravioli dish was very tasty with a wine reduction tomato sauce and braised beef and mushrooms. The Carbonara dish was served over linguini with a creamy sauce and peas and huge chunks of perfectly rendered pork belly and sausage. The Chicken Melt was a grilled chicken with Brie, fig spread, and prosciutto served on a schiacciata roll. The entree portions were so generous we took home some of each. For dessert we shared a slice of super-moist lemon curd cake (tart and sweet in all the right places) and Brandy Alexander ice cream drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and had a great time with Matt keeping us on point with excellent service, great personality, and of course Fratellos wonderful food and libations.

Took over 1 hour to get our food. The restaurant was not that busy. Our waiter told us we were waiting on 1 steak (prepared medium). My entree was like warm to cold. Waiter was always missing. First and last time we will eat here.

Great food and the carrot cake was incredible!

First time at Fratello's, 5 year anniversary dinner service was some of the best I've ever had food was excellent and sitting next to a window overlooking the river just added to the romance. My lady really loved the place
