For over 10 years Fratelli's has always been known for serving homemade pastas, seafood, and fine meats, that is still the same. Now Fratelli's is expanding into Spring Valley. New owners, same great recipes and service,with some new additions.The restaurant is quaint, very charming. The chefs have over 25 years of experience. Full service bar from the 1940's; a great part of Houston history. Serving award winning martinis, cosmos, Italian Ritas.

Fratelli's has been catering for many years. We specialize in Italian, but our chefs can do other cuisine such as Mexican food or BBQ. Inside or outdoor events are welcome, we can cater from 30 to 400. Our private gardens add an extra elegance to any event. Custom menus are available. Our event coordinator can help with every detail; Continental breakfast to 5 course meals, Kids birthday parties and anniversaries, all day semimars and happy hours. We have a very professional staff that has worked with us for many years and take great pride in a job well done.
Fratelli's has paved parking lots, with many entrances for easy exit. We have beauiful oak trees and large brick flower beds thought out the property. A grand Bell Tower imported from Europe, that plays real bells every hour. You can request the bells be played as guests arrive or depart. We can all so have Wedding ceremonies by the beautiful tower. We can play the wedding march on the grounds below the tower. 100 more spaces are availbale for our larger parties right out side our gardens.
We have public transit right up front.

All 4 of our meals were superb. Absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. One of the finest meals I have enjoyed in a long time. The new chef, Mark Cox, is creating imaginative and complex dishes that are so darn good that I have to remind myself to eat slowly and savor each bite. The traditional Italian dishes at Fratelli’s have always been excellent nd now that the chef is adding unique American cuisine, you just have to give it a try.
Good but still needs work. Black pasta had too much lemon but good in spite of the lemon.
Spinach salad’s soft egg was cold & should have been poached when salad was put together. If egg done right would have been a first class salad. Bottom line we will return
Too crowded for the size and format of the facility. I think it was overbooked and we had to wait for a long time to be seated.
While waiting we were parked at the bar; bar services were extremely poor and discourteous.
Extremely noisy especially as an attempt to live entertainment.
The refreshed and renewed beloved Fratelli's comes back stronger than ever! The interior has been delightfully remodeled, the menu updated and improved. Mark Cox has added immensely to the equation. As has Rick Jamail the highly knowledgable wine master.
Food delicious, beautiful and gracefully served.

The place is a nice place to go if you are on a date. I thought the portions were a little small for the price you pay. We decided to order a bottle of wine because the bottle was priced right. When the bill came they had upped the price of the bottle $10 because they said there was a typo on the menu. I insisted that we pay the listed price and they changed it. The restaurant is not in the best of neighborhoods and the food is okay. The waiter didn't check on us to often so I ended pouring my own wine.
We had a half a dozen waiters waiting on us. No one knew what the other was doing. Disappointed as we have been coming here for years. Two many changes not for the good. Raised prices and changed menu. Probably will not go back. SAD! Lastly I have never had a tip put on the check by server for party of 6. They got the 20% that certainly was not earned.
Food was good but, though perhaps common place, I would have expected a side of pasta rather than three green vegetables. The salad of the day was described as with bibb lettuce, and though quite good, actually came with romaine. The service was adequate but lacked polish. Unused place settings were haphazardly gathered up and then missing pieces were purloined from adjacent tables - just sloppy and unprofessional. Glasses and flatware were put in place across the diner’s seating rather than from the appropriate side and with care. Dining room was noisy as all tables became filled. Greetings on entry and exit were perfunctory and without any semblance of attention or warmth. Otherwise, there was nothing of particular merit.
This was our first visit. We decided to try pasta dishes since this is an Italian restaurant. The pasta did not disappoint. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The wait staff was outstanding. Our only complaint was the table we had was directly under an AC vent and next to a mirrored wall, so it was uncomfortably cold. The candle on the table wouldn't stay lighted because of the "breeze". The waiter did adjust the thermostat immediately, so when the AC cycled off, it was fine. We will definitely go back and request a different table.
My review sums it up: great venue; menu and service. The Kitchen is ably led by Chef Mark Cox; and the front radiates under the watchful eye of owner Barbara Marquis. Together they make the perfect combination for a wonderful dining experience.
We particularly love the nostalgic Shamrock Hilton bar and the life like murals of Houston celebs. It makes for a very special experience.
Our 3rd time to visit this sleeping giant with the engaging mural! It's terrific - with inspired food and libation and love the fact that Mark Cox is commandeering the former and Rick Jamail the latter. Tina is the most attentive server and the whole experience is a welcome addition to the Houston dining scene. The Duck Ravioli and Spinach Gnocchi in Gorgonzola cream sauce are sublime.....as was everything else we enjoyed. The Eggplant Parmigiana was the only disappointment to one of our guests, but she loved all the other options.
We really liked Frantelli's and went often until they made with new chef change and higher pricing, as compared to other quality restaurants. Before "Food equaled Price" and now, not true -- "Price exceeds food''. A $10 desert that was worth maybe $4 -- $5. Now off our list and we eat out almost every day. ...Disappointed...
Our group of friends has met there from time to time for lunch. Great neighborhood setting . Easygoing place allows you to dine at your own pace . Great food and some of the best home made pies in the city. Service is usually good. Has a full bar and weekend performances in the bar.
Beautiful restaurant. I enjoyed a previous lunch visit more than this dinner. The pastas are reasonably priced; the desserts were over-priced. Each of us enjoyed our meals, but I was taken aback by my Carbonara. I've had it served with a raw egg that cooks as it is stirred into the steamy dish, making it creamy. This dish, however, had a fried egg on top--very off-putting.
