Each time we visit Miami we make time to go to this great Italian restaurant. We eat out a lot and really appreciate great food, great service and the warm welcome. We have tried most things on the menu and you can't go wrong with any of the pasta and veal dishes . The margarita pizza is delicious.
It's been 2 months since my visit to this restaurant and i can still remember. I have been rushed in a way that i felt kicked out the place lol, i was dining with my gf and we ordered 3 courses. Once we got appetizer, within 2 minutes they brought main courses, probably they wanted to leave quickly but as long as you still have clients dining you cannot call it a night ;)
i work in the industry and never got this kind of service. By the way i ate 5 times at this place and usually they are awesome, but who knows, new staff new rules. Food is great as usual, i would have enjoyed it more if i would have had time to eat rather than pack everything to-go and quickly leave because they were closing lol.. whatever!
From the delicious sun-dried tomato sauce served with two types of bread, to the many delicious homemade pastas, to a good variety of generous main courses and of course plenty of desserts from which to choose, all served by the friendly waitstaff - one can't go wrong here. We wish this place was right around the corner from us, as it would be our go-to Italian restaurant.
Why does this happen to me time after time? The places I skip or leave for "one of these days" turn out to be the best places and that's saying a lot. We were spending time with my sister in law and her husband and they trust me with food choices and places to go so I had a lot of pressure to decide on a good spot and I had never been here but heard good things so it was risky business but at the end, it paid off. I was surprised to see that it wasn't as busy as I expected it because on weekdays for lunch it's hard to get a table here but tonight was perfect since we were starving and didn't wan to wait long, plus as a bonus, we got a parking space right up front which is a miracle.
Let's talk food now, this is an incredible dinner. Starting with excellent service and attentiveness. Our waiter was friendly and kinda funny too, bit not the obnoxious type funny, if you get my drift. Started with three glasses of Moscato for the ladies and my friend and a Pinot Grigio for "moi", just what the doctor prescribed. As appetizers we started with the traditional bruschetta and the prosciutto bruschetta because we like options and my wife loves goat cheese. Wow these two were equally delicious and made with fresh ingredients. If you like goat cheese, and I say it because I'm not a fan, you have to try this. Even I was impressed with this.
The menu had an excellent two specials for the evening and my friend and I just went for it:Florida lobster tail, clams, mussels, calamari and scallops in fra diavolo sauce over linguini pasta. This sauce was amazing due to its creamy consistency but the star of the show was that lobster tail. All the seafood in this dish was definitely fresh and cooked perfectly and the tail was not chewy or bland like I expect sometimes from seafood restaurants. My wife ordered the Lobster Ravioli because that is her favorite pasta dish and she had a lot of great things to say about it, but just in case, I tried and yes it was that good.
As usual great tasting food and excellent service. We visit Miami area once a year and always try to fit in a Fratelli visit.
What i did not lIke this last time is that the food had a little too much sauce, probably catering to a more general American taste. Will remember to ask for less sauce next time, more authentic Italian.
As an added note, the navigation in my rental car had a hard time finding the address correctly, had me driving around in circles.
Simply excellent food. I ate my own meal (Veal Milanesa) and was just planning on tasting my kid's meal (spaghetti and meat balls) since he didn't finish. I ended up eating everything he left behind. The wife loved her food too. I cannot say enough about the flavor profile and ingredient quality. I'm definitely coming back.
We are vacationing in Miami and decided to try Fratelli Milano. It was awesome! We had a special appetizer, antipasto with octopus, so delicious! We also tried a pizza, also very good.
The profiterole, aka cream puffs were excellent, highly recommend this restaurant in Miami!!
We ordered a burrata as a start and it was not so creamy as I would like but the taste was good. As main dish we ordered pasta and both were very good. The wine list is compatible with the menu with good blend of choices. We did not experience the dessert menu because all the waiters and the other employees were preparing the restaurant for closing. Despite the service had been good until this time, the final image of the service was bad. They could have avoid it.
