Bread with dip was excellent, eggplant lasagna the same. Pizza, however, was poor. Chewy crust, bland sauce and cheese that seemed old.
We came here for dinner to celebrate our 40th year of graduating from nursing school Cornell-New York Hospital. The staff was great and very accomodating- food was wonderful- we had a bit larger group- so we probably contribured to the noisy atmosphere- and loved the open to the street atmosphere, lthough with the frequent sirens- it was pretty loud- which I actually liked for the full NYC experience. The available wines were great- reasonably priced and the food was incredible for a casual italian dining experience. In fact- a smaller group of us came back the next night to grab dinner after we went to Happy Hour at another bar- and if you plan to eat and drink your way through the city- this was a good and reasonably priced way to do it.
Great neighborhood find. Delicious classic Italian, great service!
Food was very good and service was great. The only problem was the noise. There were a few families with loud screaming children at the beginning of our meal. Luckily they left half way through and the rest of the meal was great.
By all means this is a good place to go. Pasta was excellent and the wine selection (while being small) wasn't junk wine so it was enjoyable. The pizza is alright, but is not authentic NYC pizza. If that's what you're looking for, look somewhere else.
always a good familiar neighborhood safe place . staff always accomodating
Pizza was delicious. Excellent thin crust with fresh mozzarella.
The meal starts with light and flaky bread and a dish of red pepper relish--very nice. The salads are generous. I found the pumpkin ravioli a bit too sweet, but that has more to do with my taste than with the fine preparation.
Food was disappointing
Food was tasty and ceaser salad was not over dressed. Quick service.
Not such great service and only fair food make this place just average. There's too much competition these days to make a return trip to this type of place.
The service could have been better. The server was semi uncomfortable and when we questioned about the food we had received, he didn't give much of an answer.
Best thin-crust pizza I've had in NYC. Very welcoming atmosphere & prompt courteous service. Can't wait to try their pastas!
The food was great. The service was impeccable. The owner visited each table and made us feel at home. Will definitely go back.
Great experience, great food and great service and the Bash brother owners make it even better with their presence.
Really good food and fun for a family. Very kid friendly
We enjoyed a great lunch. The brick oven pizza is amazing. Kid friendly and gluten allergy friendly. Salads, pasta, pizza- all delicious.
Even though we made a 9:30 reservation on open table they tried to get us to only order take out because they said they close at 10 even though they had 10:30 reservations available on open table. We told them we came quite a distance and had a reservation and did not want take out. They let us sit to eat but had to order very quickly because kitchen was closing. Overall it ended out to be an ok dinner just very annoying situation.
Terrific neighborhood gem. Great Italian. Outstanding service! I love fratellis always...
Second time there and very satisfied with the whole experience. Very friendly and attentive staff and the food was very good. Very reasonable for location and ambiance.
