Bread with dip was excellent, eggplant lasagna the same. Pizza, however, was poor. Chewy crust, bland sauce and cheese that seemed old.
We came here for dinner to celebrate our 40th year of graduating from nursing school Cornell-New York Hospital. The staff was great and very accomodating- food was wonderful- we had a bit larger group- so we probably contribured to the noisy atmosphere- and loved the open to the street atmosphere, lthough with the frequent sirens- it was pretty loud- which I actually liked for the full NYC experience. The available wines were great- reasonably priced and the food was incredible for a casual italian dining experience. In fact- a smaller group of us came back the next night to grab dinner after we went to Happy Hour at another bar- and if you plan to eat and drink your way through the city- this was a good and reasonably priced way to do it.
Great neighborhood find. Delicious classic Italian, great service!
Food was very good and service was great. The only problem was the noise. There were a few families with loud screaming children at the beginning of our meal. Luckily they left half way through and the rest of the meal was great.
By all means this is a good place to go. Pasta was excellent and the wine selection (while being small) wasn't junk wine so it was enjoyable. The pizza is alright, but is not authentic NYC pizza. If that's what you're looking for, look somewhere else.
always a good familiar neighborhood safe place . staff always accomodating
Pizza was delicious. Excellent thin crust with fresh mozzarella.
The meal starts with light and flaky bread and a dish of red pepper relish--very nice. The salads are generous. I found the pumpkin ravioli a bit too sweet, but that has more to do with my taste than with the fine preparation.
Food was disappointing
Food was tasty and ceaser salad was not over dressed. Quick service.
Not such great service and only fair food make this place just average. There's too much competition these days to make a return trip to this type of place.
The service could have been better. The server was semi uncomfortable and when we questioned about the food we had received, he didn't give much of an answer.
Best thin-crust pizza I've had in NYC. Very welcoming atmosphere & prompt courteous service. Can't wait to try their pastas!
The food was great. The service was impeccable. The owner visited each table and made us feel at home. Will definitely go back.
Great experience, great food and great service and the Bash brother owners make it even better with their presence.
Really good food and fun for a family. Very kid friendly
We enjoyed a great lunch. The brick oven pizza is amazing. Kid friendly and gluten allergy friendly. Salads, pasta, pizza- all delicious.
Even though we made a 9:30 reservation on open table they tried to get us to only order take out because they said they close at 10 even though they had 10:30 reservations available on open table. We told them we came quite a distance and had a reservation and did not want take out. They let us sit to eat but had to order very quickly because kitchen was closing. Overall it ended out to be an ok dinner just very annoying situation.
Terrific neighborhood gem. Great Italian. Outstanding service! I love fratellis always...
Second time there and very satisfied with the whole experience. Very friendly and attentive staff and the food was very good. Very reasonable for location and ambiance.
Fun neighborhood place. Lots of families, had a good vibe
Outstanding Italian restaurant with wonderful pizza for those who enjoy brick oven pizza and a regular menu for those craving a regular Italian meal. We would recommend this restaurant to others! Great wine, great food, great service and great atmosphere!
The restaurant was very nice. It had a good atmosphere and great service. The food was delicious, and portions were big enough to have leftovers the next day. Would definitely recommend :)
Fratelli's continues to satisfy. Service is impeccable, even when it's busy. They know their customers and a lot of us are repeat customers because we appreciate the food, the ambiance and the service. Pizza, salads, pastas and specials are all great. Grazie!
We have only eaten lunch here many times, but always find the food very good. It is very fresh and well prepared. We love their paper thin pizzas. We no if no other restaurant in NYC that make them better.
Fratelli is a great neighborhood restaurant. I usually get a pasta dishes which is always fantastic. This time I strayed off the menu and asked if they could make me a veal marsala. The sauce was delicious but the veal was a little chewy. That being said, I would definitely return.
Used to really enjoy this place, have not been for a while though. Service was not very attentive...friend we were with had to wait quite a while to order a second glass of wine.
My husband used to adore the grilled octopus but was disappointed this time.
Wanted to order after dinner drinks - amarettos - they did not have! Ordered tiramisu, which we were told was one of the desserts...then they came back and told us they did not have.
Delicious dinner, family style. Nice service. Good time.
Athentic Italian dishes. If you like clams - Go for it! The I Primi or Insalta and a half an order of metballs or sausage are the perfectly sized mid-week meal. As a single having dinner at the bar while watching a ballgame and chatting with the staff and owners is a great way to have dinner.
Restranteurs who know their regulars and stop by the table to check-in and ask how the day went. The staff willingly shift tables to fit the diner's needs whether its to accommadate kids or a diner in a wheel chair.
The family dinner hour is energetic but isn't that a family dinner - 8 people with 12 conversations around the table. If you are looking for quiet meal go a bit later and enjoy the food and your conversation.
Went here for Father's Day and had an excellent meal with fine service. Had the brick oven pizza - excellent. They have many variations and there is also a make your own menu. We also had soup and salad which was also good. Next time I am in the neighborhood, I will definitely stop by for pizza.
I absolutely love Fratelli's! The food is spectacular and the service is great! I love the spread that they serve with the bread. I recommend it to all!
Food was great but service was very disappointing, especially for Valentines Day. Waiter seemed annoyed each time we called him over.
Good place for a family including with young children. The food was excellent with good portions that can be shared. Overall an enjoyable experience.
courteous, friendly, good food, wonderful neighborhood place.Owners and staff from the old school-very nice to their customers.Flexible in their offerings.
I was alone for dinner and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious! I will definitely go back when I return to NY City.
We used the Open Table app to find something close by while in NYC. We had arrived a few hours earlier and were exhausted and of course it was cold and rainy. The minute we stepped in we knew we had found a gem. Everyone was warm and friendly and the pizza was exceptional. The wine list was pretty short to be deemed a "wine bar", but that didn't matter at all to us. By far one of the most relaxing dinners I've ever had in NYC.
Always a great time Diming at this friendly establishment.
Very nice ambiance and service. They have great pizzas and salads, among other items. The pizza was outstanding.
Can always rely on a good dinner with good service & a friendly attitude to the Kids as well as the grownups!
Everything is wonderful at this neighborhood gem with outstanding Italian dishes, pizza, salads and yummy appetizers! Grazie tanto..
