Frank's Steak House

Embarrassingly, this was our first visit to this mainstay of Cambridge. Would return in a heartbeat. Very warm and welcoming service. Great value for the money.

First time there. Heard about quality of food and value from friends and tv spots so I thought we would give it a try. Wasn’t disappointed.

Our go to steak house for the family. Reasonable prices. Good food. Friendly staff. Definitely recommended!

I got the Rib Eye.black and blue. It was thin and not cooked the way I wanted. I was too hungry to complain. I will still go back, just a hiccup.

Our first visit. Family fiendly atmosphere. Good food and great service. We will definitely be back again.

Frank’s is a gem. Sensational food, music, vibe and service. You cannot find food/quality for these prices anymore.

Very bad service by waitress. Apps and dinner came out almost at same time. She dropped off dinner quickly saying she was going to bring ketchup, even though we didn't ask for ketchup, we wanted vinegar but she didn't give us a chance to tell her that. Never saw her again until I had my credit card out on the table to leave. My son needs water for pills and his water glass never got refilled for him to be able to take his pills. The prime rib cuts we got were very fatty and underdone. Unpleasant experience.

Franks has been a long time favorite. this time not so much.The server Heidi was terrific . HoweverI had the london broil.it was very tough with not much flavor.this was the second time this month that the London broil failed me. the chicken soup and the hot fudge Sunday were excellent

Food is always great here

We dined there Saturday night and it was busy. Apps and house salad we good, but entrees were average. Filet was dry and bland. Prime Rib was was a little tough. Our server was very good

Consistent, delicious food at a great price. Frank's Steakhouse is a long established neighborhood gem.

We have been to Franks quite a few times in the past few months. This time was no different. The food was great. Steaks cooked perfect. Nachos for appetizer were delicious. Always a pleasant experience and the staff is always wonderful.

Horrible service... food was cold n unappealing reservation no honored and was unable to order the tomahawk..

This was our first time at the restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was even better. Portions were good compared to the price of the meals. We had a great time and we will definitely return.

For the price, things are okay.. just they’re just OKAY.

Tomohawk was amazing! I would definitely recommend that. The prime rib was disappointing though. But the service was exceptional! Would definitely go again.

I have been going to Frank's since the early 1990s and Have Always had a great time there.

Franks is a steakhouse classic! We have been going there since we were kids and it is always a reliably great meal!

We LOVE Frank’s! The food is always great! This visit the service was less than desirable. Waiter seemed like he was preoccupied. We had to wait a long time for him to get our drinks, then order. The place was empty so I don’t understand why it was so slow to place orders or get our check.

As usual a great dinner. Sharon is a good server. Rocco and Osaris are great at welcoming.

When you go to Frank’s order steak. We ordered the sword fish and it was a mistake. Wonderful Server and Mel at reception is awesome...welcome to Frank’s!

First time there to celebrate a birthday and engagement. Had a fantastic meal at a very reasonable price. But the best part was the phenomenal service. Our waitress, Michelle, was extremely kind and just the right amount of attentive. Definitely our new favorite steak house.

The steak was very good. My Ribeye was not seasoned so salt and pepper was needed. Overall the party was very satisfied.

Quiet enough so you could hear each other, nice neighborhood spot.
Tomahawk pork chop, seared scallops and chicken picatta, all very good value for the price.
Cream puff with ice cream and whipped cream, very large and delicious.
$107. for salads, entrees, potato and vegetables, dessert and cocktails for 3.
Good deal according to all of us.
Friendly staff on a Sunday night and very busy. No wait.

Steaks were relatively inexpensive, but were grainy and not particularly flavorful. Disappointing.

Nice place for a night out

Frank's is always good. The food is very good and the service is excellent. They do not rush you at all to turn over the table. Good value. We have recommended this restaurant to many people

The steak and prime rib are first rate, and equal to the Back Bay/corporate houses. Better than some.
Seating is quite comfortable, not crowded in the least, and the vibe is a bit neighborhood.
Prices are moderate, notably for before-6 pm early bird dinners.
Some off-street parking, and nearby Mass Ave meters.
Wine list is short, without expensive labels. Very well selected, though, and priced agreeably.
Ambiance is less than formal, and service is not Michelin-strict.
Three-pound "tomahawk" ribsteak a notable menu item. Quite something when it arrives at the table.
Altogether most worthwhile.

Frank's Steak House has become my favorite restaurant and the place we celebrate family occasions and special accomplishments of my children.

I had Prime Rib as it was a specialty of the house- I ordered King and offered the end piece- it was huge and tasty. server was very attentive but not obtrusive

Came here in July and it was very good , this time not at all. Had a 7:30 reservation , walked in the place was in chaos, were not seated till 8:20. Server was great and quick as we were hangry. 2 out of 3 steaks were dry and chewy and the crab cakes were bread and filler. The ribeye was a good choice as was the salad and a very good wine list.

Have been here many times before, but this time Service was rushed and waitress very unfriendly . We were at the table for maybe 3 minutes and waiting for another guest when we were asked if we would like an appetizer. Our final guest arrived snd waitress asked if we wanted a drink before the guest even sat down.. We felt like it was end of her shift snd she wanted to leave. Good food, but disappointed in the service.

I have always enjoyed eating at Frank's. The food and the value is great, but tonight was the first time the service was horrible. It took forever to get anything and when we did at least have one or more things missing. I'm hoping this was just a bad night night and not a preview of what's to come.

Great value tender steak, friendly casual atmosphere

Service was awful. Food was sub par at best. Scallops were not seared. Terrible experience. Such a disappointment.
