Always a great place for any occasion!
Franklinville Inn has been my favorite restaurant for over 20 years. Nobody prepares a filet as well as they do. Their stuffed potatoes are the BEST! They make great cocktails too. I also love their house salad (esp with the Romano dressing) and their fresh baked bread. Franklinville Inn also has excellent wait staff.
A great meal as always!
service and food are great.
Marianne and Amanda took great care of our party.
Our server William was excellent and made our experience wonderful!! Even the hostess who sat us was very welcoming and friendly. The bread and crab bisque were out of this world and my husband was amazed by his steak!! Even though we had to bring out desert home it was just as delicious. The only thing that may not have been the restaurant fault was our reservation was at 8 and they put us in a room with 2 party’s of about 6 people and they were very loud and it took away from the intimacy and quietness I was looking for. I would have preferred a both or a quieter area, but then we wouldn’t of had William. Aside from that the experience was wonderful, food fantastic and we have made many recommendations to others and look forward to going back!!!
Consistently excellent dining experience - from the initial pleasant greeting to the cozy atmosphere, outstanding and professional staff and, of course, the exceptional food! Great place for date night or a night out with friends. Any entree is the right entree and the soups are fantastic! My husband and I have never had a bad meal here - it's our favorite restaurant - hands down! We recommend the Franklinville to all our friends!
Was a bit disappointed with the service. My husband and I finished our cocktail while eating the appetizers. Our server brought our dinner we asked for another cocktail and two glasses of water. We finished almost our whole meal before the cocktails arrived and she never brought the water. Also there was a screaming year and a half child at the table behind us. It kind of ruined the mood.
Always love my meal when I come in. Servers are always excellent. Jeffrey did a wonderful job, as usual, making our meal a wonderful experience.
Everything is always great ! 10/10 recommend
Always love going to this place. I have never had a bad experience or meal.
First, let me say that Franklinville Inn is my favorite restaurant and I’ve been going there for many years with no issues. However, I don’t know if it’s because it was a holiday or just bad luck on our part, but our Father’s Day dinner was disappointing. Our waitress was new to us (NOT a new employee). She was inattentive, slow, and not even apologetic for her horrible service. First, my husband ordered prime rib and she said she needed to make sure they hadn’t run out; left table, came back and said they had it. About 15 min later, she brought our drinks and says they just “86’ed the prime rib.” This happened the last 2 times we visited as well. How do they run out of prime rib, or any food for that matter? Poor ordering on their part. After 30 min, appetizers came out. My husband got crab Dijon dip (very good) and my daughter got teriyaki char tips (LOVE!). They sometimes skimp on the char tips and cover it with lots of green peppers, onions, and pineapples to disguise the fact that there’s not much meat, but this time it had plenty of meat (not many peppers, which she won’t eat anyway). At this point, she still never brought the bread, which we asked for when we ordered. She said, “It’s in the oven”, but we had been there for over 30 min and the bread wasn’t very hot when we got it. We got our soups/salads and the Caesar salad was extremely salty. My husband who puts salt on EVERYTHING couldn’t even eat it. We had to ask for refills (which took forever) bc she didn’t notice empty glasses on table. Our meals came out and were very good. I got teriyaki char tips (as my meal) and mine were piled with green peppers...not sure if they had too many peppers and were trying to get rid of them, or covering up the lack of pineapples on mine. Either way, you’d think there would be a set amount of each ingredient that a dish is to have each time for consistency. Teriyaki char tips are always delicious, but now you never know what you will get when you order them. ☹️
Food was very good. Traditional menu that can suit anyone's taste. Old fashioned service not seen too much these days. Everyone is extremely polite and accommodating. Parking is good and they honor the reservation time.
My husband and I went with another couple for dinner. I was the only one that had ever been there. We all enjoyed our dinner immensely. Our server was very very personable and professional. Our only disappointment was we ordered creme burlee. Thought it was a little to thick. The other thing I wished was that other diners there didn’t feel the need to dress up a little more. We would all go back again though.
By far the BEST restaurant ever !! Never have never will have a better crabcake and dining experience!!!
Great service, everyone we came into contact with was polite and offered us Anniversary wishes . I’m assumin my husband notated the occasion when making our reservations. Either way it was a great atmosphere, amazing food and cocktails . I enjoyed it and look forward to going back. I grew up in franklinville and this is the first time I ever set foot at the inn. I lived here for 41 yrs and hadn’t known of this gem!!
Michael our server was fantastic. Couldn't ask for better. Crab bisque Soup as always superb. Always a good time when we visit.
Great atmosphere. NY Strip cooked perfectly. Seafood Broil is stellar. Service is always top notch and extremely professional/courteous. Portion sizes are just right.
My favorite special meal. Ordered the same as last and was not disappointed. Could cut the filet with a fork
The food was prepared perfectly. May husband had the prime rib and I had the chicken marsala. Delicious. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a nice, relaxing dinner. We will definitely be back.
Friend get together
Franklinville Inn is that special place for celebrating or just a romantic location
Not enough servers. Very disappointed. Took my boss and his wife there. They had never been there before. Too crowded for the number of servers. Overpriced. Extra money for asparagus that is in season. Crab cakes dry. Steak not cooked the way he asked. No "special" entree. Only 3 "virgin" drinks available. Crazy!!! Like I said. Very disappointed.
We had a 4:30 reservation. Did not know they don’t open until then. Arrived at 4:27 and went in. Was greeted by a young lady that told us they do not open until 4:30. Ok no big deal we will wait until then. Sat down in the foyer and waited a whole 4 min. Other people came in and I would guess they were regulars because they proceeded directly to the back bar. An older lady took over the front desk and ask if she could help us. I said yes and told her my name and that we had a 4:30. She looked for our name and looked a little confused so I spelled my last name and said we made the reservation through Open Table. She found our request. It was kind of odd because when I made the reservation I mention that it was my wife’s Birthday and the first person did see that on their computer and wished my wife Happy Birthday. We were seated directly after that and the waitress did come over directly because there were not a lot of people at the 4:30 sitting. Everything processed smoothly after that. Food was great and so was the service. If you are in a hurry this is not the place for you. They are not slow. They just want you to enjoy your dinner. Table for 6 or more are hard to come by. Two or four they have plenty of tables for you. Make reservation will in advance if you want a prime time or date.
Place was great! Steak was amazing!Waiter was awesome! Definitely recommend the place and will be back again.
I am a big fan of the Franklinville Inn. Food is excellent, service is top notch. I have never left hungry or unsatisfied. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. I have brought people here that have never eaten here before. They were impressed & never disappointed.
Great place to dine, awesome to celebrate an occasion . The food is very good and enjoyed the martini, would highly recommend .
Looking forward to going back. The food, service, atmosphere and ambiance were all Great. We will go back soon.
Great food and service
Excellent service and we were seated upstairs which is considerably quieter than the main dining area. Salad was colorful, the dressing tasty. Dessert was over priced and the strawberries were going bad. Seafood was delicious .
I loveeee this restaurant it is my absolute favorite the only thing that bothers me most Is I recommend they have their servers cut their fingernails n loose the polish I seen our server hit our food a few times with her not to mention the polish it is very tasteless for such an elegant place.
Consistently high quality food, pleasant, thorough staff!
Good eats. Not really what it's cracked up to be but if I was a sheep I'd say it was great, but I'm not and it wasn't.
Nice as usual. Service excellent.
The service was great and the food was prepared to perfection as the steaks were ordered medium rare and that is how they came from the kitchen. The sweet potatoes were absolutely delicious and they should be tried if you have never ordered them.
The wine list is very limited so be patient. They don't have a Sommelier to assist with the wine selection so I would advise you to review the wine list online prior to going to the restaurant and have an idea what you want to drink with the food you will be ordering. I asked them to decant my bottle of wine and I was informed they did not have wine decanter to allow the wine to breathe or decant.
If you want to eat dinner at the restaurant on Thursday thru Saturday, you will need reservations in advance so plan well in advance of the date you want to eat at the Franklinville Inn. Note, they are closed on Sunday's and Monday's except for special holidays like Mother's day and etc.
The food and service are rated 5 Stars, but due to the limited wine selections and support for the wine the overall rating is 4 Stars.
Love this restaurant. Go as often as we can. sometimes we grab a seat in the bar when we're riding by. Other times make reservations for dining area. Always a great meal and friendly staff.
Love the house salad. Food always perfect for us.
We were celebrating my birthday. We were seated at a booth on the second floor where it was cozy and quiet. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding!
Great seafood, and my friend enjoyed her Italian food which was chicken piccata. The wait staff is very attentive.
Server hailey was amazing. My wife’s food was great. My crab cake was great but my steak was rare and i ordered medium. Other then that experience was great.
Did not like sitting in the area by the bar. Too loud. I would definitely specify that next time I make a reservation. Thank you!
