Cocktails were perfect too!
It was our first visit and was everything we had hoped it would be!
Great to be back to Franklinville Inn and see most things are as Great as before. Our server Brandon was there when we needed him but gave as space to enjoy our dinner. Missed seeing a few thing on the menu but the Crab cakes and steaks were as good as before. Looking forward to our next dinner at the Inn
We normally love Franklinville Inn. However, the past 2 trips have not been amazing. On our most recent visit we were seated at 8pm. Our waitress took our drink and appetizer orders around 8:10pm. Our appetizers didn't come out until 8:57pm, followed by our main entrees at 9:15pm. Our salads didn't come out until AFTER our main course had already been served. Additonally, we were NOT informed that the restaurant was out of lump crab meat and char tips when our waitress first came over (we were told 10 minutes later when placing our orders). We were also never informed of the daily dinner specials.
Lily Ann was an excellent server, the food was wonderful, as always.
Love this restaurant. Always look forward to the next visit.
Only thing not pleased with is , I made reservations on open table. Your restaurant had no record of it. I did. Still took about 25 min to seat us.
One of my favorite restaurants for dinner. Have been going here for over 15yrs. It’s very Hard to get a reservation and a lot has changed since Covid. The food is still good but not up to the expectations I have come to expect from this establishment.
We had a lovely dinner at Franklinville Inn. My husband had the steak and lobster tail and I had shrimp and scallops. Both were delicious and served at the correct temperature. We also enjoyed our salads, mine was the wedge and my husband had Ceasar. The cocktails were tasty too, mine was a lemon drop martini and my husband had a margarita . We had great service too. We will definitely be back.
Service was great, meal was great. Always a great time at the Inn.
Had a great dinner and a great time. The food and service was first class. Certainly the place to go for a special occasion !!!
Amazing dinner, fabulous service. Very enjoyable night.
Great food and great environment
Great service . Are you able to request a specific server when making a reservation? Tyler was outstanding
Our waitress Genevieve was outstanding We look forward to coming back
Food was delicious! The crab cakes and crab bisque are exceptional! Service was great as well and a great place to celebrate.
This was not are first trip to The Franklinville Inn for dinner. And again, it was PERFECTION! Our server, Amanda, was spot on with her attention and knowledge. Not to mention she was so pleasant!! The food was EXCELLENT from the crab bisque to the tiramisu! Filet and crab cake, ribeye and sides were DELICIOUS! Wish we could give more than 5 stars!
Thank you for a lovely dining experience! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ +
Everything about my experience at The Franklinville Inn was outstanding. The food was excellent as were the employees. I highly recommend dining here.
meal was amazing, service was great, we had Genevieve and she was very attentive .
Everything was exceptional. The service, food and ambiance was all wonderful.
This place is always great. The crab cakes are the best around!
Excellent food as always. Service was a little slow which the waitress apologized for but we did not mind. We were seated near the bar area which was loud but lively. Worth the wait! Crab bisque, Chilean Sea Bass and Steak Tips were all perfect.
The food and service is exceptional. I highly recommend it.
I've been going here for 20+ years and the food has always been excellent. While the food was very good this time, I think they were a little too heavy on the salt ( I had the petite filet and stuffed potato). Our waitress was very nice but seemed kind of overwhelmed and we felt a bit rushed as she brought out our dinner very soon after bringing out our salads. She apologized though.
Steak was ordered medium. Waitress confirmed “warm pink center”. It was served rare. Finally got waitress. She agreed. Returned with another steak cooked a little better but definitely not medium! Returned that and refused another as our meal was pretty much over. They did take it off the check but not a good experience.
As always everything was fantastic the food is the best in the tri state area second to none.
This was our fourth trip the food is fantastic the service was extremely slow took 2 hours from start to finish to eat, I made appointment for 4:30 because for health reasons my wife needs to eat early we didn't get our food until 6:00, she wasn't able to eat her salad because they came with mushrooms, she is allergic, wished I had never had a Time however the waiter was accommodating and asked if she wanted another salad made but unfortunately they were taking entirely too long as it was we just wanted to get to our main course due to this time she said she will not go back every table around us was seated served and left before we got our food, it's a shame because the food is really good
The food tasted way different than my prior dining’s. There was any specials which was odd so I’m wondering if the normal chef was not there. I always get the same thing so for me not to like it is rare.
Awesome gluten free options and always very careful with our food so we aren't contaminated. The filet was so flavorful and melted in your mouth. My husband's prime rib was huge and he said it was delicious.
This is probably our 10th time dining at the Franklinville Inn. We are always pleased with the food and the service. The food is consistently excellent and the wait staff are extremely polite and well trained. The ambience is rustic, but who cares. We have not found better food or service in any restaurant in the area.
A great meal and fantastic service for my sisters’ birthdays.
Great service and a great meal. Always great at the Inn.
Food and service was wonderful. Prices have gone up and I could have done without the horn music throughout dinner. Other than that, no complaints.
The New York strip steak was fantastic
The crab cake appetizer was fantastic! The surf and turf was also delicious. My husband ordered the Queen cut prime rib and our server had to come back to tell us they didn’t have enough for that size.
Excellent salads, but that's about it. Ordered a steak to be cooked "medium", and server said "Warm pink center? Is that okay?" She was dead-on, but the steak came out with a raw RED center. Did not want to send it back as I didn't want the cook's spit on it. Already was mildly irritated that a $10 Hendrick's cucumber gin drink was so poorly made --- big CHUNKS of cucumber in it --- that we asked that it be taken off the bill. Do they have a six-year-old as a bartender? An order of shrimp and scallops was meh. Did not want to see how bad their desserts were or how bad their coffee tasted and happily left, the only truly good point of the meal.
Decor is tastefully dreadful; bad art on the walls, glaring chandeliers. The place is clean, though, and has no bad smells.
Server was outstanding. She was prompt, super courteous and knowledgeable.
The restaurant always has great service and food. I think some of the decor can be changed to give it the feeling of stepping back in time to the 1800’s when it was built. There is a lot of paneling from the 70’s styles which isn’t the era I was thinking of.
Food is always consistent and service was excellent. Both restaurant and Bar has a nice ambiance.
10 out of 10
My wife and I have not been here for several years but we were given a gift certificate, Everyone from the reception to the waiter was excellent and treated us great. The food was excellent (Ribeye for me and Chilean Sea Bass for my wife).
The bread is so good and we both got the Mashed North Carolina Sweet Potatoes which was like a decadent desert.
We do not eat out that often but this quickly goes to the top of our go-to list for our next dinner.
