Delicately Seasoned Jumbo Lump Crab with a Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce
Lump Crab, Old Bay and Sherry
Slow Roasted for Tenderness, served with Au Jus
We have been going to the Franklinville for over 15 years. It is not the same as it once was. Food is still good however they have removed a lot from the menu, items like the Filet and crab cake. It was a staple now gone.
First Class from start to finish!
Made reservation for Franklinville Inn for a birthday celebration for 2. Christmas decorations were up and the inn was very festive and lovely - adding to our experience and we were greeted very nicely upon arrival. Our server was pleasant and seemed to do her best, however, not knowing whether it was an issue with the bar, the kitchen, etc., it took a very long time to be served with our cocktails. I noticed other parties, seated later than us, served with cocktails and appetizers long before we were. Then, after waiting for a considerable time, we were told they did not have strawberries for our cocktails. That's fine, however, considering the wait we just had, we had another considerable long wait for the "replacement" drink orders to arrive. Surprisingly, rather than bringing out both appetizers at the same time, one was served long before the other, making for an awkward experience. I gave the server and overall experience 4 stars because we did enjoy our dining experience and had been looking forward to it for weeks. Also, I'd like to give our server the benefit of the doubt as far as our orders and when food and drinks were served. Even though it was disappointing, but we did not let it overshadow the evening.
Wonderful experience. Host and server were fantastic. Food was incredible and the ambiance and setting was warm and cozy.
We eat at the Inn for special get togethers or to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. The Inn is always on point. The atmosphere and service are impeccable.
Always a wonderful experience and meal at The Franklinville Inn!!!
great ambience and service was attentive and knowledgeable and helpful
A little upset some options were no longer on the menu but still an outstanding meal.
Service is always wonderful. Not rushed. Got to enjoy each course. The crab bisque soup is to die for. Had the fillet Oscar which was delicious. Prime rib is always a good choice too. the apple pie which was amazing!
The whole experience was top notch, from the ambiance, service and food! Definitely will return.
The food and service is excellent. Great place and will be back.
Always delicious. Wonderful service and atmosphere.
Everything was great
Delicious food as always! I like the host area, the service was a little slow but I am assuming due to Covid. Once we placed order the food came out quick.
Great food, well worth the money. Great staff And atmosphere.
Anniversary dinner exceeded expectations as always. Love this place.
Excellent. I would go back and recommend it to friends and family.
One of the best places to eat in South Jersey
We have been occasional diners at the Franklinville Inn for many years. The food and service were always excellent. Unfortunately, I think the pandemic has taken its toll on the Franklinville Inn. My husband and I both had the crab bisque. It was excellent. My husband had crab cakes and sherried mushrooms. I had scallops and shrimp and sherried mushrooms. The mushrooms were so salty we had to send them back for something else, and my husband said his crab cakes were too salty also. My scallops and shrimp were very good. We have never had a bad meal before.
We will dine at the Franklinville Inn again and hopefully the chef will cut back on his salt usage.
The food was excellent as always. The best prime rib around. It’s pricey but worth it. The tiramisu is also the best I have ever had. The waitstaff is professional and very attentive to your every need. Highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. Only bad thing last night was one loud mouth and the bar. It was very noisy. I recommend sitting in the dining room and not at the booths across from the bar.
This was my first time at Franklinville Inn. Everything was so good! Will be planning another night there!
This was our first visit to The Franklinville Inn but I can assure you it won’t be our last. Our dinners were over the top! Our server “Brandon” gave us the best service ever. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and delightful to deal with. We were there for 2 wedding anniversaries and one retirement. So happy we chose to this one. Thank you for a beautiful evening !
Great experience as always!
The best Filet mignon and crab cakes ever! Excellent service.
The food is consistently delicious. The ambience was conducive to leisurely dining and the server, Brandon, was attentive while being unobtrusive.
I did notice the prices have surged since the last time I was there. And I wish the filet and crabcake would come back. $73 dollars for lobster and filet seems excessive to me but I guess it's due to the supply chain or the fact that there are less tables there now??
Otherwise, it was excellent as always. We come here about 2 or 3 times a year. It's our special treat.
Excellent service, food, menu, ambiance, and drinks!!! What else can u ask for? Oh prices are appropriate for the quality and quantity of food served!
We have been dining here for decades and this is the first time I was slightly disappointed. Took family members (ages 89 & 69) out for Birthdays and we were seated in the bar area where it was way too loud to hold a conversation. The food and service were excellent as usual, but the cocktail sauce for my crab cakes was literally just ketchup. They have also taken some of our favorite sides (vegetables) off the menu. Yes, I will eat there again in the future, but will request the dining room when making the reservation.
Everything was fantastic with our meal at The Franklinville Inn!
My families favorite restaurant of all times. The steak and baby back ribs are the best. Never had another restaurant top it.
Everything was wonderful as usual!
Best Prime Rib and crab cakes there is!
What an amazing time last night at the Franklinville Inn for our anniversary. We had an off experience the week prior and the staff went out of their way to make up for it and more. Our server Kelly was beyond fantastic and one of the best we have ever had. Just can’t say enough great things about the way we were treated and look forward to heading back to our favorite spot.
We come to Franklinville Inn as a couple for special occasions. Birthdays, anniversary, our very rare date nights. We book a month or earlier in advance, and always look forward to this date night! Never dissatisfied. Always impeccable service, in a timely manor to enjoy our evening out. The food is always perfect. Will always be our special date night favorite! There is NO PLACE we have been to thus far that even compares to our experience at Franklinville Inn.
We will definitely be back!! Great food and service.
First time here and it did not disappoint. Crab cakes and stuffed shrimp were perfect. Whipped sweet potatoes and baked whipped potatoes were original and delicious. Can't wait to go back for a steak. Great ambiance and historic location.
Food was great as usual! I use the Franklinville Inn as the benchmark for which I compare all other high-end restaurants, and have rarely found anyone better!
Excellent service, great wine and Manhattans. Food made to our specifications.
Excellent food and service. Very popular location - experienced 30 minute wait for table despite reservation.
