About Frankie's Ristorante
The Santoro Family has been in the food service industry since 1988 through their casual restaurant Frankie’s Beef & Pasta in Oak Lawn and Frankie’s Catering for off site events. From our famous robust homemade Italian sausage and meatballs to our house-made pastas and sauces to our decadent imported Italian desserts, we strive for perfection in our kitchen and have raised the bar high for our service standards. Our customers are treated like guests in the Santoro family’s home and our purpose is not only to make them feel wined and dined, but also pampered. Our chef - born, raised and schooled in his homeland of Italy and with experience in some of the most renowned fine dining establishments in the US and Europe, has found his passion in life in cooking and has brought this passion to each one of his dishes. He maintains a consistent authenticity which has won us rave reviews in the local news media as well as a following among our guests.

Frankie's Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Frankie's was everything I heard it was, especially on the service side. I loved how everyone made you feel welcomed. Our server (Travis) was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food..... (sorry had to pause for reflection) great! Fresh pasta, I haven't had since Italy so I was so happy to get it here. I had the paperdalle with truffle sauce (soooo good!) I'll will be back!
Very Good Choice for a date night with my wife, cozy and not too loud. Specials were right on and very extensive menu to cover all types of patrons. Frank was out walking the floor making sure our experience was up to our expectations. We will definitely be back. Thanks
Too loud music in the alcove we were seated, told waiter, said he'd take care of didn't. In fact, seemed louder. Had to yell to each their to be heard. Talked to manager, said sorry, but it goes in and out of volume ,but basically it is what it is. Apparently they like Frank Sinatra better than their customers. So, play it loud, I won't be back and I'd been there several times before
This is the quintessential South Suburban Italian tablecloth eatery with upscale stylish decor. As you might expect it has a nice playlist of Sinatra, Dean Martin & other Italian crooners. On weekends it's a great place to meet up with friends for a special occaision or on weeknights with your relatives for a family get-together. Service varies. On weeknites when they feature inexpensive specials it can be somewhat rushed. Wine specials sometimes good, but wine list is rather ordinary. Desserts, especially gelato are good.
Our table was ready when we arrived, but it was located right by the open doorway to the kitchen staff area. One person in our party was a little later. Service was very slow apparently due to a large party on their catering side. We were told there were other staff issues that night as well. We definitely would not return without checking if there is a large party again.
Our waiter came by after about 10 minutes of being seated to say he'd be right back. After another few minutes the other member of our threesome arrived and the waiter again said "I'll be right back". Upon the third time of saying he'd be right with us I reminded him this was the third time and we'd been there almost 30 minutes without even a drink being ordered. He apologized and promised he would make it up to us with a special dessert. He took our drink order which then took another almost 15 minutes to have the drinks brought to the table.
Then he wanted us to order our appetizers, salads and entree's at once.
Was not a pleasant experience for a first experience at this restaurant.
I had put in my open table reservation that it was a birthday celebration. We said we wanted to enjoy our appetizer with our drink without everything coming out together. He was obviously taxed but also seemed to be greeted by many regulars seated in his area. All of us definitely felt he was catering to his "regulars".
All the food was very good!! Two diners had the same entrée and felt the description didn't indicate how "spicy" it would be. Entree's were served by the bus boy and the waiter did not ask if everyone was satisfied with their entree's. Technically we were but make sure you do not order the "little ear" pasta entrée unless you love very spicy food!
The waiter did bring the two birthday gals what was probably their "regular" complimentary dessert. He apparently totally forgot he said he was going to do a "special flambe" for us!
Great food, great for casual dinning. Very good staff from the hostess to the bus boys, exceptional waitress. Frankie will stop by your table to chat and see how everything is, very friendly young man. Frankie knows how to run a restaurant and keep you coming back!
Frankie's is a staple here in Tinley park. We have been coming here for years. Frankie & his staff are as good as it gets & the food is always consistent. The vodka sauce here is the best you will ever have. My husband is obsessed with their sausage & peppers. We try and come often but life with kids is busy, but when we do, Frankie's is our go to place!
I saw the great reviews on open table and decided to make reservations to celebrate our wedding anniversary which I noted on open table when I made the reservation. It was our first time eating here. The food from dry French bread, bland Caesar salad, lukewarm meatballs was fair at best. There was no mention of our anniversary by the wait staff and we left knowing we would not return.
The service most impressed us. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and kept our drinks, bread, and special requests replenished when needed. The food was fantastic! The prices may be a little higher than at some other Italian restaurants, but the quality of the food is well worth paying a little bit more. We will definitely go back soon.
