My girlfriend and I drove up from Rocky Mt to celebrate a late Valentine’s Dinner. The lump crab dip was the best I’ve ever had, very large portion of crab, Filet mignon was cooked to perfection, lightly charred and salted medium rare. The sides are all amazing and generously portioned, and my favorite the creme brûlée was close to the best I have ever had, and I’ve tried it about everywhere. Highly recommend Frankie Rowland’s!

I heard all great things about Frankie Rowland's and we are so glad we listened. Staff was great and friendly, very professional and helpful. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. There was only one small complaint.. We had the Valentine's Day special total cost 125$ (included 2 salads, 2 steaks and 2 sides to share plus 1 dessert) we both had water to drink and added a dessert. The bill ended up being 165$ looking at the receipt it showed extra charges for things like the side of broccoli that should have been included and anchovies on the salads (I was asked if I wanted anchovies on my salad and I did not but had them on there anyway) though I was surprised by the total amount of dinner considering the service and over all experience I did not mind the extra cost.

Wonderful Valentine’s date. It’s always a pleasure. We drive from Covington every chance we get. We had the special menu and added some martinis and some shrimp. Loved it. Steaks were perfect. Mashed potatoes were divine! Love love love your establishment. Will definitely be back again. We are customers for life.

We were a group of 3 couples visiting the Roanoke area for the weekend and decided to dine here for a birthday celebration. The restaurant was very nice without being stuffy. I can't say enough about our server Brianna (hopefully that is spelled correctly). She was attentive without being overbearing and VERY knowledgeable about both the food and drink menus. Her recommendations were on point and we were not disappointed. We all tried drinks that we would not normally select and were very happy. An overall great experience.

When this restaurant opened it was closer to a 5 rating. Unfortunately it hasn’t retained that status. The crack servers they used to have are now younger and inexperienced. Ours was not entirely knowledgeable of the menu and didn’t continually clear as needed. Brussels sprouts burned. Lamb chops in gooey sauce. However, the lobster was better than the over cooked one last time, fish good, onion rings fabulous and the creme brûlée very good. Perhaps an off night. It was a Monday!

Everything was wonderful! We came to celebrate a birthday and felt like royalty thanks to the attentive wait staff and our awesome server, Jeff. We had scallops app and ny strip (rare to medium rare is definitely recommended). It was all cooked perfectly- melt in your mouth delicious. The sides are all great, but the steak here is just outstanding... creme brulee dessert was a great finish to our amazing evening. I would give ten stars if I could for this exceptional experience!

Frankie’s signature is prime steak cooked to a char on each side. The ribeye was mostly round without the cap. My wife and I shared the 20 oz steak, salad, sides, and desert. We both left content. The creme brûlée is the best we have ever had. There is a variety of steaks and seafood to please everyone.

We went for restaurant week and the selection was great and the pricing was also great. The noise level for this particular night was really loud, but they were very busy. We had a great meal and great service.

Had an issue with the reservation. Made online reservation and received confirmation email from OpenTable for 6pm. Got to the restaurant and was told they gave our table away since our reservation was for 5pm. When I showed the email with the reservation confirmation, the manager came out and got a table for us right away.

The hostess who told us she gave away our reservation was not polite and never apologized. Fortunately everyone else made us for that rough start and the night went well.

Not sure if that error was on OpenTable of the hostess.

Tried this place during restaurant week so the price was a fixed $35. That was a good time to go. The food and desserts were great. Mudslide martini was fabulous for $11. It’s a Very Noisy place. The regular menu is too expensive for a regular visit. No prices on the martini list, so I was happy it was not $20. Dress was more casual than I anticipated.

This evening was to celebrate a special occasion. Frankie’s delivered on delicious food and efficient service. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the cocktails were equally as tasty. We were happy with every part of our evening and highly recommend Frankie’s.
