Frankie Bones Restaurant & Lounge - Hilton Head Island Ratings and Reviews
Been here many times for chicken Marsala and really enjoyed it. This time was not good. Chicken was Coated with something and was oily and salty (asked for no salt) Had to redo so didn’t eat with the person I was with. Not sure I will order again Meatball appetizer was mostly bread. Bummer
The atmosphere was very nice not to mention the accommodations they did for me were amazing and quite accommodating. They went above and beyond my expectations to make my pre-anniversary dinner special by purchasing wine and setting up flowers on my table prior to me and my wife showing up. The meal was very delicious and out server whose name I can’t remember was very good to us. Great place to dine at
The booth next to ours had 7 guests & a chair had to be placed at the end of the table in the aisle to accommodate the extra diner. Very busy nite with staff having to navigate around the diner in chair. Against fire code. Our waitress,Brittany, was not pleasant. When we gave her 2 gift cards to use she had some difficulty in using them. I watched her avoid us with change.
We have always loved Frankie Bones but the smaller portions were noticible & the petite tenderloin was not up to what I have had in the past.
2 people out of the 8 in our group said their meal lacked seasoning. Overall the proportion was plenty. It was busy in there, so it explains the moderate noise factor, nothing extreme. Think you guys are great for a steak. Appetizers were good, enough to share
Would return to this restaurant
A favorite dining spot for visitors and locals alike. A huge Italian leaning menu with something for everyone's taste. We are locals and have eaten at Frankie Bones many times and have never been disappointed in the food or the service. The booths are large and extra comfortable. Plentiful bar seating if that's to your liking. Very generous portions, although tonight there were only five shrimp in my large fettuccine alfredo.
What a great find. The food was great, the wait staff was very accommodating and the atmosphere was cozy without being stuffed in. We were there with 4 people with various appetites and there were ample choices that allowed for big and small appetites and a variety of tastes. The price was reasonable when compared to the other restaurants of the same quality that we went to on the island. It is easy to give this place two thumbs up.
Frankie Bones is always a good time out, but I do miss the Steak Teriyaki they used to offer that I ordered every time I went. The Tuscany steak that replaced it is not as good, especially since the side dish is french fries rather than their yummy mashed potatoes. The three other people in my party enjoyed their entrees very much and my gluten free friend was accommodated when she made a special request to substitute pasta in her dish with spaghetti squash for a small upcharge. Our waitress was a bit "distant" in her service at our table, but we wanted for nothing, so did her job well other than that.
Took the team to FB and the food and service did not disappoint. Furthermore the host accommodated my entire team in one location “the boardroom” :/) I would highly recommend FB. Everything on the menu is delicious... I could tell when my talkative crew became quiet when their plates arrived. Drinks are creative and home made desserts are amazing!!
I recommend Frankie Bones based mostly on prior visits. We had dinner there for my birthday and had reservations. We waited 20 minutes for our table. The place was jammed. Once settled we ordered wine and appetizers and about 5 minutes later, our entree. Wine and appetizers we're great and out quickly, but we then waited over an hour for our entree. The server said there was an error in cooking my beef, but they could have made skewered beef & veggies 5 times over in an hour! By the time we left the place was empty. Will think twice about returning even though their food is good and we live in the neighborhood.
I had the regular cut prime rib. The cut was not uniform in thickness. In fact it was more like an early bird cut rather than a regular cut This was not the same quality of a prime rib from just 2 years ago. My wife had another item on the menu which she said was excellent.
Perfect in every way. I got the smaller filet and Cindy got fish. Both were perfect. They change the sides of the filet, at my request. Probably my favorite of all of the steak places - both in Atlanta and in Hilton Head. All tell me the rib-eye that is coffee rubbed is the best steak ever!
