Frankie Bones Restaurant & Lounge - Hilton Head Island Ratings and Reviews
Took the team to FB and the food and service did not disappoint. Furthermore the host accommodated my entire team in one location “the boardroom” :/) I would highly recommend FB. Everything on the menu is delicious... I could tell when my talkative crew became quiet when their plates arrived. Drinks are creative and home made desserts are amazing!!
I recommend Frankie Bones based mostly on prior visits. We had dinner there for my birthday and had reservations. We waited 20 minutes for our table. The place was jammed. Once settled we ordered wine and appetizers and about 5 minutes later, our entree. Wine and appetizers we're great and out quickly, but we then waited over an hour for our entree. The server said there was an error in cooking my beef, but they could have made skewered beef & veggies 5 times over in an hour! By the time we left the place was empty. Will think twice about returning even though their food is good and we live in the neighborhood.
I had the regular cut prime rib. The cut was not uniform in thickness. In fact it was more like an early bird cut rather than a regular cut This was not the same quality of a prime rib from just 2 years ago. My wife had another item on the menu which she said was excellent.
Perfect in every way. I got the smaller filet and Cindy got fish. Both were perfect. They change the sides of the filet, at my request. Probably my favorite of all of the steak places - both in Atlanta and in Hilton Head. All tell me the rib-eye that is coffee rubbed is the best steak ever!
My husband and I visited Frankie Bones for Thanksgiving ... We sat at the bar and had a couple of drinks and ordered our dinner.. The food was very good and the service was great. We loved the atmosphere was very cozy and warm, we will definetly will come back when we are in the area.
We always return to FB’s when we visit Hilton Head. It is consistently excellent in all categories and the bartenders are extremely efficient and friendly to known & unknown guests.
The early dining selections are plentiful and the happy hour is indeed, happy.
It is always booked so reservations are needed.
Until our next visit, keep up the high standards!
Extensive menu. Some entrees were very good such as seafood trio others like the chicken saltimbocca was so so. Edible but nothing to write home about. Our server was very x Ellen’s clearly had her act together. Very personable and quick witted.
All in all I would try again but order something hint different.
Had a bartender recommend this restaurant. He did NOT lead us astray! It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We wound up giving up our table to stay in the bar area (also a recommendation). Food was amazing...lobster Mac and cheese should not be missed, worth every penny! Will happily go again and couldn’t recommend it more. Go!
We had reservations and were seated on time at our requested location. Service was very good, server was attentive and drinks and food were served promptly. Bar service for drinks was excellent although it's often impossible to get a seat until the crowd clears around 9pm or so. Food is always good.
Frankie Bones has become one of our favorite restaurants. Their menu has something for everyone and the food is not so exotic that it's unrecognizable! Everything is wonderful, but their 8 oz. fillet mignon melts in your mouth and the lobster macaroni and cheese is out of this world (enough for two people)! You won't be disappointed !
We come to Hilton Head every year and this was only our second time at FB. I made reservations thru OT and it seemed as if they didn't know. But, we were seated within 5-6 mins of our reserv time. The only reason I gave the food 4 stars was that at 7pm on Friday they were already out of 2 of their specials. It does not seem that should happen that early. What I ordered was fine but something I could have ordered at any number of restaurants. Even though it was fairly crowded, the way the table are separated, the four of us could converse without feeling we were shouting.
We loved the food choices across the spectrum of pasta, seafood and steaks. So many places on Hilton Head specialize in seafood, and we had one party who is allergic to shellfish. So this was a great compromise. Has a very 40's vibe with Sinatra jazz and Hollywood feel.
We love this restaurant and try to go every trip to Hilton Head. It continues to meet expectations and others must agree because it books up. The food is great and the menu is extensive. I dinged it slightly because the eggplant parmigiana was really more like spaghetti with a side of eggplant- just 3 small pieces. Coincidentally, we got a drink at the bar afterward to wait out some rain and we overheard a patron say she would not order the eggplant because the dish is mostly spaghetti. Take it under advisement chef- more eggplant, less spaghetti, please! Service was great. Some good reasonably priced wine options also
