Frankie Bones Restaurant & Lounge - Hilton Head Island Ratings and Reviews
We always return to FB’s when we visit Hilton Head. It is consistently excellent in all categories and the bartenders are extremely efficient and friendly to known & unknown guests.
The early dining selections are plentiful and the happy hour is indeed, happy.
It is always booked so reservations are needed.
Until our next visit, keep up the high standards!
Extensive menu. Some entrees were very good such as seafood trio others like the chicken saltimbocca was so so. Edible but nothing to write home about. Our server was very x Ellen’s clearly had her act together. Very personable and quick witted.
All in all I would try again but order something hint different.
Had a bartender recommend this restaurant. He did NOT lead us astray! It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We wound up giving up our table to stay in the bar area (also a recommendation). Food was amazing...lobster Mac and cheese should not be missed, worth every penny! Will happily go again and couldn’t recommend it more. Go!
We had reservations and were seated on time at our requested location. Service was very good, server was attentive and drinks and food were served promptly. Bar service for drinks was excellent although it's often impossible to get a seat until the crowd clears around 9pm or so. Food is always good.
Frankie Bones has become one of our favorite restaurants. Their menu has something for everyone and the food is not so exotic that it's unrecognizable! Everything is wonderful, but their 8 oz. fillet mignon melts in your mouth and the lobster macaroni and cheese is out of this world (enough for two people)! You won't be disappointed !
We come to Hilton Head every year and this was only our second time at FB. I made reservations thru OT and it seemed as if they didn't know. But, we were seated within 5-6 mins of our reserv time. The only reason I gave the food 4 stars was that at 7pm on Friday they were already out of 2 of their specials. It does not seem that should happen that early. What I ordered was fine but something I could have ordered at any number of restaurants. Even though it was fairly crowded, the way the table are separated, the four of us could converse without feeling we were shouting.
We loved the food choices across the spectrum of pasta, seafood and steaks. So many places on Hilton Head specialize in seafood, and we had one party who is allergic to shellfish. So this was a great compromise. Has a very 40's vibe with Sinatra jazz and Hollywood feel.
We love this restaurant and try to go every trip to Hilton Head. It continues to meet expectations and others must agree because it books up. The food is great and the menu is extensive. I dinged it slightly because the eggplant parmigiana was really more like spaghetti with a side of eggplant- just 3 small pieces. Coincidentally, we got a drink at the bar afterward to wait out some rain and we overheard a patron say she would not order the eggplant because the dish is mostly spaghetti. Take it under advisement chef- more eggplant, less spaghetti, please! Service was great. Some good reasonably priced wine options also
We were in town for Golfweek tournament and decided this was place to meet and eat. It started with a party of 4, but 2 more people showed up and they had no problem to seating all of us. The waiter was great getting the drinks, food, and more drinks. We all would go back.
I think Frankie Bones reserves seats along a wall outside server entrance and exit for Open Table reservations. The table was so cramped it was hard to get in and out. This is 2nd time we have been seated there when we went with Open Table reservations. Otherwise food, service is excellent
We were terribly disappointed in our recent experience. We are locals, who are big fans of Frankie Bones, and went for the Oktoberfest menu. Our meals were awful. It appeared someone left the sour cream out of the beef stroganoff and forgot to drain the noodles. The dish was thin and soupy, with about six pieces of meat that tasted like leftover sauerbraten. We also ordered the sauerbraten which turned out to be a lump of pot roast with a thick sauce. When we complained. Our one dessert was comped. The restaurant still has a long way to go win us back. We usually have Thanksgiving dinner here, but we may not go back this year.
As always, great food great service. We always go to Octoberfest. The Special is the best. More food than you can eat in one meal. It boasts Beef Rouladen, Saurbratten, Knockwourst, Bratwourst, saurkraut, red cabbage and spatzel. There is enough for lunch tomorrow. Oh, did I mention the Strudel?
