Frankie & Johnnie's Steakhouse - Rye
Sliced Filet Mignon, mushrooms, onions, on French baguette & French fries
with hollandaise or garlic and oil
Excellent as always!!
F&J needs to up their service level if they are going to maintain their client base. Lunchtime eating in Purchase Street is a great thing and F&J has spaced tabes thoughtfully and given adequate shade. Food was fine but the service very underwhelming and lacked attentiveness - social distance is no excuse for losing this. Might as well have ordered take away and eaten at home
Usually great but this time the $65 Rib Eye was fatty and way too chewy. Not up to their usual standard.
Frankie and Johnnie's is the best restaurant in the area! We had a tremendous meal with superb service and *delicious food and wine. It is a perfect spot for either a family dinner or a date.
Always a great meal
Outstanding ! Best Porterhouse. Loved the seafood tower. Service was excellent. Setting is beautiful and classy. We will be back soon
The best steakhouse in all of Westchester. AMAZING steak, great service, great staff, and great scene. No need to go into Manhattan when, in my opinion, the best steakhouse is here in Rye.
Celebrating my Husbands birthday on Valentine’s Day and the food and service was awesome!!!
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in all of Westchester, certainly my go-to steakhouse. Ha been there many times, but not lately. So very much looking forward to returning with friends, who also had been there in some time. In short, this was a disappointment, from the slow service to the food that was good but should have been much better than good. And one of the very few times that my friends and I felt that the very expensive meal we had was not quite worth it on that particular night.
To begin, the separate paper specials menu was quite extensive but had no prices for anything -- from the tomato soup to the Tomahawk Ribeye for 2. I know we could have asked, but the server seemed to be a bit in the weeds almost from the beginning. Not so the bus staff and support people, who were terrific. Orders took a long time to be taken. Then everything came out slowly, from cocktails to appetizers to main courses.
I have shared the porterhouse for 2 many times and always enjoyed it there. Never questioned the value. This time we decided to try the Tomahawk special. Meat was not cooked to proper temperature at both ends. Didn't want to send it back because that always ruins it. When the bill came, the price was shocking, far in excess of the porterhouse. The bone on that Tomahawk (from which all the meat had been separated) was an absolute sight to behold - looked like it belonged in an archeology museum. But there seemed to be less net quantity than the porterhouse.
Sides were smaller than we would have thought, but tasted good. There was a special blueberry pie for dessert. It still had a chill to it from having been refrigerated - big disappointment. In contrast, key lime pie on regular menu was terrific. Coffees were not hot.
We complained about nothing. Sent nothing back. I really want to love this place again. Will give it another try out of sheer loyalty.
Consistently great meal every time.
Meh. Overpriced, but very tasty. Waiter service was very slow given there were about 8 people there.
Delicious meal. The host was most generous and helpful
We asked them to give us a special note for the table as we celebrated my dad's retirement. They were more than accommodating and very friendly. Fantastic evening at a great restaurant!
Food is always great and the service fantastic. Best steakhouse in the area, but that comes with a price!
Always a dependable place for good, well prepared food and a nice beverage selection.
The food was ok - but overpriced. Service was lacking. I remember the NYC location to be better. For Westchester there are other better steakhouse choices
Was delicious, service was wonderful but felt slightly rushed toward the end. I understand it’s the holidays and reservations had to be squeezed in. Overall was a great experience!
Food was just Ok. The steaks were not cooked as specified, & the service was not that attentive. 5 star pricing with 3 star quality & service.
Just to mention the best steakhouse , food, service, Drinks and ........ambiance.
Not that good. Very overpriced food was below average.
I don't like the fact that there were waiters came every 5 mins to check our status... very annoying and interrupted our conversation all the time. I mean every 5 mins... They asked us how we were doing for 20 times while in less than 1 1/2 hours. no kidding. It needs to be improved.
My favorite restaurant above all
The food has gone downhill since we were last at the restaurant about 2 years ago. The service was excellent, ambiance good and liquor was good.
Actually very disappointed in the food surprisingly mediocre food - it usually is my go to place to bring customers but the steak was really a disappointment. I probably made a mistake by telling the table clearer that I had a problem with the steak instead of the server.
This rating is influenced by the terrible reception when checking in. After being shown an undesirable table and pointing out 2 tables we would like we were left standing for 5 minutes on the stairs going to the second level. We were then misidentified as people who had just called for a reservation, We were finally seated ( not at the 2 i asked for). The table was fine except we were near a large party and the waitstaff kept bumping my chair. The food was the best part. Service was adequate. Prices are typical steakhouse prices (high).
Best steak in Westchester
The best of the best, consistently great. Friendly and fabulous!
Greeted at door immediately. Quick drink at bar and seated as soon as guest arrived. Restaurant dinner week menu provided some fun ( and tasty) choices which we both enjoyed. Will definitely return.
Great service and ambiance is what you are looking for in a steak house. I hosted 2 foreign colleagues from Europe and they loved it!
Excellent food, service & ambiance as well. Waitress was so tentative.
GREAT FOOD, WONDERFUL CARING SERVICE, DECENT PRICING!
We had a great time. There was a mistake and two entrees were not made so 2 guests had to wait. The waiter handled it well but it would have been nice if they took something off the bill.
We dined at Frankie & Johnny’s on my husbands birthday , which happens to be same day as Halloween . The restaurant was quiet , but the service & food was exceptional . We actually have been dining there for years on the same day , & for those reasons we keep going back .
Food was great as always. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
Great for a business lunch as well as an intimate dinner
Superb as usual
Outstanding service, consistently good food and warm atmosphere
A very dependable place to return to time and again for deliciously prepared steaks and burgers.
The hostesses were not good at seating us or our guests who arrived before us. They did not know our guests were already seated when we arrived , and it took about 10 minutes for them to get their act together. The wait staff, food and service was good.
Great evening! Incredible food! Wonderful service. We were seated in a very narrow area ( felt like a hallway) behind the hostess station. When spending this amount for dinner I prefer a bit nicer eating area. I have eaten upstairs in the past and it is lovely. Next time I will remember to request upstairs.
