Top cuts cooked to perfection. Exactly what a steak house should be. First rate service in a beautifully designed space and elegant building. Highly recommended.
Great food, great service , very attentive manager
The service by both Gio and Jamie was exceptional. The meal was so perfectly cooked. I had the lobster bisque and the surf and turf. The soup was so tasty, the steak cooked perfectly and the lobster was delicious. I also had the truffle fries. The meal was so good, there was no room for dessert. A great dinner
Great steaks, perfectly done. Well prepared drinks and good service.
We celebrated my sons birthday and had a greet meal!
Had a 7:30pm reservation--had to wait for a friend at the bar-no seats and the bartender was watching the game so no service. Ate upstairs--which was nice--waiters slow and uneasy-barely spoke English. Had to beg with waiter to bring a side of spinach with the meal. At these prices who needs anything but excellent service. You can get the same steak at many other steak houses that are run a lot better.
I came here several years back and loved it. This time I was very disappointed. We had steak which is the specialty. I have had better steaks at a diner. The Lobster Bisque was also sub par. The Creme Brulee was very good. Decent service.
Made a last minute reservation and was accommodated by F&J. Great service, food and ambiance. Highly recommended.
could not be happier !!! i had the rib eye steak... just unreal !!!! cooked to perfection. the misses had the veal chop... wow !!! onion soup delish. spinach side great. 1st timer.. ill be back !! thank you!!!
This was a truly terrible restaurant week experience. The menu options were abysmal, the steak was inedible. The service was sub-par. I ordered my steak rare, it was practically raw, I sent it back to be cooked a tiny bit more, it came back well-done, not one bit pink. No silverware came with the returned steak. Altogether terrible experience. Oh and the noise level was so loud we couldn't hear each other speaking a full volume.
Went for restaurant week. Wonderful choices. Delicious steak. Unusual sald dressing. Delicious rice pudding. Helpful with gluten free options. Relaxing.
excellent meal, service was top notch food was great. Went for restaurant week so it was a good value. The steak was flavorful and done to perfection. Its a very interesting design, being in an old bank building but it can get noisy. There were three of us and each loved it.
The restaurant week menu choices were excellent and did a very good job of introducing first timers (which we were) to the steakhouse offerings. All four of us ordered a salad, the strip steak and different very good desserts. All the food was very good and service was good. Our only criticism-- as the restaurant filled up it got quite noisy.
Based on this experience we will certainly return. It's great to have a local first rate steak house.
The lobster bisque soup was delicious and the 10oz NY steak for just as delicious.
Top notch as always
It was ok. Nothing great
I’ve been to many steakhouses in Westchester, both more expensive and less expensive. the experience was fine - service was good, everyone helpful and polite - but I found the food mediocre. my steak was undercooked from what I ordered (I wanted medium, not medium rare) and it had a lot of fat on it. I just wasn’t impressed. I’ll go elsewhere in the future.
Received a gift card from my sons as a birthday gift. My husband and I had a great dinner here, comfortable conversation due to acoustics and terrific waiter service. Was served a nice plate of biscotti for my dessert
This was our second visit to Frankie & Johnnie’s and after surviving two storms a flooded basement and being stranded on MetroNorth this was a treat that we were both looking forward to. We were seated upstairs at a spacious table for two on the balcony overlooking the first floor. The ambiance is warm and elegant. The wait staff are attentive and engaging without being intrusive. They are well trained and considerate of each other as they weave back and forth with trays of drinks and, stands for larger trays of food. The Pinot Noir was excellent. We shared the house salad, surf and turf and a baked potato. Each dish was perfectly prepared. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Excellent food, although too much dressing on arugula salad. Steak was delicious, although I expected more than 4 or 5 fries when the description noted steak fries as part of the entree.
Quality of the food is below standard for the price.. Steak is good but the salad is wilted and the hash browns tastes like fish. I don't think they change the oil they cook in! Service was great but disappointing overall.
We love this restaurant
Staff
Food
Atmosphere all amazing
Never have we had a bad meal
As always, the food and service was excellent. But, as with any good restaurant, it is not inexpensive. It always is a pleasure to eat in a good steakhouse.
Very disappointed. We had been wanting to try this place for a long time. We can now say we've tried it and will not return. It's extremely over-priced and under-whelming. It's an ordinary old fashioned steak house with a fairly limited menu and nothing special, especially considering the prices. Our waiter was fine -- nothing special. Our food was under-cooked and lacking in flavor. Medium rare should not be blue and cool in the very center. Everything is a la carte, so with our over-priced mediocre meat we also ordered over-priced mediocre vegetables. The portion size for the over-priced vegetables was miniscule. The wine list was very extensive and nice, but also over-priced. We will not be back.
Frankie and Jonnies was everything I had hopped for! The service was great, food was spectacular and we would definitely come again.
I had spent a lot of time researching steak houses in the area- I live in Norwalk. A friend mentioned Frankie and jonnies, and we had to check it out.
Great food, but the noise level was a bit much. We also waited 30 minutes for a table despite having made reservations. We’ll go again, but we might avoid busy nights moving forward.
I brought my son to this restaurant on recommendation from a friend. It was my sons 18th birthday. I thought they would make a whole fanfare, maybe even a well decorated plate with a tiny cupcake. What we got was a scrape of very iced over freezer burned ice cream and someone streaked some chocolate over it and stuck a candle. The presentation was atrocious. Even being ice cream the presentation was poor. The steaks were good; the Mac and cheese was very thin and runny.
Overall steaks were good. Service was mediocre at best. Wouldn’t go back. For the previous reviews and the cost I expected so much more.
Our favorite steakhouse in Westchester. Wait staff couldn't have been nicer. Went for Valentine's Day dinner. Nice, reasonable wine selection.
Great experience all around
My wife and I booked an early dinner on a Saturday night and were the second couple to be seated. We had a salad and oysters to start and shared a steak and lobster with a few sides. The restaurant soon filled up but our service was attentive without being intrusive. The food was truly outstanding and although the bill was more than the tab for our usual Saturday night dinners it was worth every penny. We will be back soon,
We shared a Porterhouse for 3 and it was outstanding. We even were able to have it Medium and Medium Rare! The Tomato & Mozzarella was delicious. Atmosphere is beautiful. Our server was attentive and pleasant. Just a great place. Look forward to returning again soon.
Excellent. Our waiter could not have been better and the food was delicious.
Always a favorite!
Great place. If you want a good steak this is your place when your near Rye NY. The Kale & Mushroom Side was incredible. Steaks amazing. Lamb Chops the same! Well done.
Beautiful restaurant. Terrific food and great service. Just like going to the New York Frankie and Johnnie's without having to go to NY.
Strike three. Went there with my two daughters on Monday at 6pm to give it one more try. Previous two times steak and sides came out lukewarm. So this time I specifically told the waiter actually begged the waiter to please make sure the steak comes out sizzling. Nope.....lukewarm again. The owners/chefs should head to Benjamins Steakhouse in Hartsdale or Lenny’s in Larchmont to take a lesson. Worst part is the place was empty. Not sure how you screw that up. Sent the steak back to have it come back hot and while we waited had the sides which of course were lukewarm but we were starving so we ate them. Re-heated steak is just not that good. And the porterhouse for three is a complete ripoff....way too small. $250 plus tip for the three of us......really disappointed.
My chicken scaparelli was not what I expected. It was too hot and spicy and the chicken was nothing special.
Great Steaks and excellent Bourbon selection
Always a great experience.
Delicious food, great service and awesome dessert!
The steak was phenomenal!
We went to dinner here for Christmas Eve and had an absolutely amazing meal! Would love to return for another special occasion. The steak was excellent!
