Rib Eye Steak
My favorite restaurant in Westchester. Ambiance , history, food and staff , it’s all amazing and it’s a New York steakhouse at its finest
Ok, but not the same as the location in the city in terms of service or food quality. Had to send steak back twice, water glasses sat empty half the night, just good but not great and nowhere near worth the price. My partner did enjoy the lobster.
Food was great!! Service left something to be desired. Several servers passed our table saw we were finished but kept going. When we were ready to pay they got attentive
My Mom and I enjoyed the most delicious Lobster Bisque soup there this evening. My Mom loved the Pasta Bolognese and I loved the Chilean Sea Bass with carrots, mushrooms and mashed potatoes. The owners-Jen and Vas surprised me with a birthday dessert with an amazing fireworks candle! The woman waitress was so nice and courteous. The support staff was lovely. The restaurant was bursting with great energy! My Mom kept saying “I love this restaurant! I want to come back at least 1-2 times a month!”
Food was great! Service was great!
IF you're looking for a warm and welcoming steakhouse that really knows its beef and how to prepare it, this is for you. Ambience is perfect. Staff is most attentive. A great meal.
Salad was wilted, brown and tasteless. Steaks were overcooked and not up to quality standards. Fish was salty.
Wait staff was lovely and accommodating.
Outdoor space was sparse and located right next to the garbage dumpsters which smelled.
They noticed it was my son’s birthday and brought out the coolest candle.
Steaks and sides and desserts awesome
Everything delicious, service was great. We were upstairs - lovely setting. However, it was SO COLD WE HAD TO ASK FOR THERMOSTAT ADJUSTMENT FOLLOWED BY NEEDING BLANKETS USED FOR WINTER OUTDOOR DINING. Never had this ridiculous experience - especially at fine dining venue. Our waiter couldn’t have been more accommodating.
My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Dover sole, said that it was delicious. I opted for the filet mignon medallions which were also good. But they tasted more like good Salisbury steak rather than filet mignon. In the past, during Restaurant Week I have had the filet mignon medallions & found them to be excellent.
The staff was falling all over themselves to take care of us. The manager, Vos, checked on us frequently. With such an attentive staff I would have thought someone would notice that our water glasses were half empty.
We will definitely return & I will order a real steak the next time!
Elegant restaurant. Top notch service. Dress code should be little more stringent.
Flip-flops, T-shirts, sneakers should be a no-no. The staff was dressed better than 50% of the diners. Outdoor dining area should be redesigned and rebuilt to at least compete to what you'd get inside. I was thinking of sitting outside until I saw the area, and immediately told my wife, "no way am I sitting out there."
3 friends going out for dinner. Food was good but not outstanding for the price charged. Steaks were cooked properly but 3 of us had the T bones and prime rib side was dry. Sides and appetizers were very good. We all had iced tea (3) and they charged us $32 with the refills, most places have free soda/ tea refills. We are regulars at Hudson Valley Steakhouse in Yorktown and prices here are a bit higher and the food is not on par with Hudson Valley.
Tremendous food, cocktails and service! Had a great time.
Always the very best in service food and ambiance
This restaurant is so inviting and pleasant to visit. We are greeted well each time we arrive. We also are accommodated with the seating we have asked for. The food is delicious, and always done to perfection I especially enjoy the salmon, the creamed spinach, and lamb chops! Desserts are devine
Dean was the best, as usual!
Vas never ceases to amaze us with the level of service and quality of the meal and dining experience at Frankie and Johnnie’s. We celebrated a special night with delicious food and wine and the service was impeccable.
Food is out of this world amazing!! You do not get rushed through the dining experience so you can thoroughly enjoy every morsel!
Still one of the best Steakhouses in Westchester. Not a big bustling one with harried waiters. I am sure you know what I mean.
This place is medium-sized ( not crowded) and the steaks are perfectly and properly seasoned, done to order. The seasonal appetizer was a gazpacho soup with great tomato flavor.
This was our first return in a year due to Covid, and cannot wait to go back very soon!
We noticed that have lots of outdoor dining on the street and in the back.
While the service was exceptional the steaks were very average and were not that great and the clams casino were not great. The ambience was nice The wine list was good and the desserts were very average. The jumbo shrimp were very very tough and had a bad taste and pokr quality. We had just dine the night before over at the new restaurant on Purdy Avenue called “Averna.” Their steaks were at least 4 to 5 orders of magnitude better. With regards to the value we didn’t see a lot of value for the $700 for four people. Probably won’t be back.
Dear Anthony This review was posted by the owner of the restaurant mentioned in the the review. They are new to the neighborhood and we wish them well. We are sorry they have taken to this tactic.
We had a really awesome meal celebrating my daughter’s completion of her clinical psychology PhD program and pending move to San Antonio with her boyfriend. Food was truly delicious from appetizers to entrees. I had the lamb chops special which were phenomenal , Cooked to perfection very tasty; well there’s had filet mignon with the same result, lobster ravioli was excellent ss well. Service and attention from our primary waitress was exceptional along with other wait and bus staff. No fault of the restaurant, but unfortunately it was a very drunk and loud man at the table next to us, I was continuing to drink I went from being loud to nodding off at the table and then throwing part of his drink at one of the other patrons at the table. So that interfered with the overall ambiance which is truly unfortunate since otherwise The ambience and the noise little would have been also 5 stars and excellent in all ways. I know it’s difficult sometimes to assess, and/ or hard to enforce but maybe the restaurant/bar staff should consider stopping the service of alcohol to any of the patrons at her obviously overly intoxicated as this gentleman clearly was.
The food was excellent. The service was excellent. We sat at a table out front. The entire experience was great.
The Old fashioned included less than a shot of bourbon; disappointing.
Good food great ambience
Food was delicious. Went for a birthday and they forgot the candle. Service was good but not great. We could have used more attention with our beverages.
Everything we ate was amazing. The noise level was a bit loud but the service was great and the space is beautiful.
Food and service always exceptional
If a restaurant can handle a major holiday (Mother's Day), they are very good! Food and service excellent! Can't wait to go back!
We love Frankie & Johnnies. FYI….Best Cosmos in Westchester! Consistory great: food, service etc
LOVE the food! EVERYTHING was outstanding. However, there was a a party going on downstairs and it was SO LOUD and out of control with noise that we could barely hear one another talk. It was very disturbing!
Excellent food! The price of wine is too expensive but the place is cool!
I was so disappointed by my dinner. The servers were thoroughly unqualified to be working at a place meant to be of high caliber. Things were wrong and they presented poorly. Dishes were cold and had to be sent back, assuming they sat for a while before being picked up. All fine and good for a place like the Rye Bar and Grille but not a place that serves $62 steaks. We were neglected at other times and some sides and sauces had to be repeatedly asked for and were very stingy portions when we finally got them. Really bad. I had another dinner for 10 in Harrison last night and it was marvelous. I made a point of telling my group to pass on Frankie and Johnnie’s. It was embarrassing.
Good seating and separation between tables. Fillet was great
The food was delicious our waiter made me the best mock mojito I ever had!! Overall I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
Everything was terrific. Cocktails were delicious and our porterhouse for two was cooked perfectly medium rare.
First off I’ve been in the restaurant business for 30 years.. CIA grad ...we were put in a corner where we couldn’t even see the ambiance... out of sight out of mind.. we sat for 30 minutes before we were even given menus..drinks took 20 to 25 minutes plus and every one we got even though we ordered the same drink, each were different in flavor and in looks...the kir royale was served three different ways, the Negroni was different both times. Ordered bernaise sauce that never made it to the table..When we were served dinner we ordered another kir royale and a Diet Coke which didn’t make it to the table til after we finished our meals. You would think you pay $600 plus mot counting tip for a meal you would get great service along with great food. I was sadly disappointed...
I dont think I would return...especially with so many other steak houses out there.. time to move on to another spot.. I wish them the best I hope they work it out because I was looking forward to a great night with not going out in a while and with this whole pandemic going on, especially on my Birthday ☹️
Great service and great food - a solid premium steak dinner.
