   Was ok! expected more the waiter was not to accommodating regarding dressing on the side? Didn't see him again after ordering except in passing. I had to reach or call out to servers to get drinks twice. We passed on desert, so he forgot our coffee? He did bring the check ASAP without me asking for it?? Didn't like cash either? Then stood over me while doing the tip. i gave him 20% anyway because i didn't want the team to suffer.

   Outstanding meal at F&Js as always. Lump crabmeat cocktail was perfect. Large lumps served on a beautiful ice bed with lemon and cocktail sauce was delicious. I had the 17-oz dry-aged T-Bone cooked to a perfect medium rare. My girlfriend had an 8-oz filet also cooked to her requested temp with bearnaise on the side and she loved it. So flavorful. Sides were semi-crispy hash browns, and the perfect creamed spinach. Service was as fine as you’d get at a high caliber restaurant, and the fireplace room is just the perfect romantic setting. Happy early Valentine’s Day to us!

    Service was excellent, bought most expensive steak (bone in ribeye) it was probably 1/2” thick. Though cooked perfectly, 1/2” steaks are more what I expect from Outback not a high end steakhouse.

    Great steak house if your going to a Broadway show or Madison Square Garden.Staff was very attentive.Ordered the porterhouse for 2.Steak was very good.I thought it could have been a touch warmer but didn’t want the steak to be overcooked.

    A special place for special occasions! The fireplace room had stellar ambiance for a romantic evening. The filet mignon — there’s none better. This was a hidden treasure and now our go-to place.

    The restaurant has great service & ambiance. The bread and appetizers were amazing! Unfortunately the steaks were not at the same level, would have been a 5/5 if the steaks were up to par with the price.

    I think I just ate the best and most flavorful steak I've ever had in 50 years! Great service too. They're homemade desserts are absolutely incredible and worth every penny. Will definitely eat here next time we visit NYC from Canada.

    We booked a reservation on a whim and were so pleasantly surprised at how incredible the service, food, and ambiance was here. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and took his time helping us find the perfect drinks and dishes. A great way to celebrate a special occasion. Definitely get the cheesecake!

    My husband and I visited this establishment for a little date night. The service was great. The Christmas decor over the fireplace mantle really set the mood and ambiance. We shared a wedge salad, the sirloin (med rare…… sooo good) and the augratin potatoes. We enjoyed our meal and experience here. I totally recommend this Rustic restaurant to anyone who is staying around the area when they visit!

    The service was fair, partly due to the fact that our server did not properly inform us of all of the desserts being offered, nor did he properly inform us of all of the specials being offered. The food was prepared nicely and was very good.

    Our server was excellent! He made excellent suggestions. We told him we had a train to catch and accommodated us. Overall he was fantastic! The food was good, but the steak did not taste as good as it could have used more seasoning in my opinion. The wedge salad was delicious.

    Decided we should experience a traditional NY steakhouse during our vacation and chose this place due to its proximity to our hotel. The whole evening was enjoyable from the initial greeting all the way through to checkout. Filet mignon was small but perfectly cooked. Lamb chops were huge and also done to perfection. Not cheap, but would highly recommend for the food and overall experience!

    We ordered medium Lamb chops, potatos au gratin and asparagas with hollindaise. The chops were so thick, they were cooked medium-rare to rare, and the asparagus came with oil and garlic. They brought the sauce on the side. For the pruce, we expected to get our order cooked as we asked. The ambiance was vintage NYC and a pleasant evening, but the meal should gave come as ordered.

    The best steak and filet we’ve ever had in NYC! All dishes were fresh and well-balanced. Service was impeccable! Beware of filling up on delicious appetizers and salads. I couldn’t finish that fantastic cut of beef, which was a shame.
