Awesome food and service!
Wonderful food, excellent service. We attended for 3 friends birthdays, this was a great place. They were accommodating and friendly and food was incredible
We went for dinner but the service was so bad we had one drink and left for another steakhouse. For this price point the servers should have been all over us. There was only one other table on the main floor, the rest were empty.
Very good. My only gripe was that I ordered my steak Medium and it came out Med Rare.
Everything was good about this place only problem some waiters were not wearing face mask.
The employees doesn’t wear a mask, and the gratuity no option, 20% before taxes.
For the prices it is better option Del Friscos, Morton’s, Ruth’s, etc
We chose this restaurant due to its proximity to our hotel. Our dinner was FABULOUS! The service was excellent. You have more than one sever attending to you so they are constantly checking in you but not in an overbearing, annoying way. We had the seafood pasta, lobster ravioli, and the rib eye for two. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. For dessert we shared the tiramisu and cheesecake. Probably one of the best we have ever had.
Finally decided to try the famed F&J. While the atmosphere, service, and food were all very good, the value was highly overpriced. A good experience, but not worth the price tag.
We had dinner there on Christmas Eve, food was great, excellent location, I will definitely will come back
What a beautiful experience. The attention was a 10/10! The food was heavenly. We could not have asked for a more magical way to celebrate our anniversary.
Two servers didn’t have mask on and I was told they were optional there. The steak was OK but nothing remarkable. I would remember going to Gallagher’s before I would go here again
Great experience! Food was delicious! Will definitely return when in NYC!
The place is ok.
The experience was mediocre at best. The salads we received looked like something served at a diner. The porterhouse steak, while perfectly cooked, was not of the quality to be charged the price listed. Not to mention, the worn leather seating in the booths and dated decor did not make for a great atmosphere. I would not recommend this steakhouse for value or quality.
Service and food was excellent
We made a reservation for 10 ppl and arrived early. We were seated 15min after our reservation time of 7:45p
Our food didn’t arrive at our table until 9:40! After several other guests were seated, served and then left.
We were not offered refills, desert, or coffee after dinner. A manager did not come over to apologize for the absurd wait.
We were seated & greeted, got our drinks, then ordered our food. The food runner brought us our food, and the side of fries we ordered was missing. Our server did not check on us AT ALL after our food arrived. We had to waive him down, about 15 minutes after finishing our food. This is unacceptable. After working in the service industry, I know it is required to check on a table as soon as their food arrives. We were ignored and had to ask for our check.
It’s so disappointing how low quality the service was, because the restaurant is expensive and upscale. The food was great, service was awful.
Simply an amazing experience. My wife and I took our 12 year old there for dinner on our last night in NYC and we loved it! We are still talking about it! Would recommend it to anyone!
I am sad to write this review but everything except the wonderful patrons around us made our meal terrible at Frankie and Johnnies. I know the pandemic has made the service industry so hard, but our waiter was so rude. He upsold us to a $120 porterhouse only for it to come out rare (ordered medium and yes, we know what that should loom like). We couldn’t send it back because he never came to check on us. The crab and shrimp cocktail was embarrassing with 2 shrimp and a few lumps of crab for $20+ dollars. To top it off, we were celebrating our daughters 16th bday and the restaurant did nothing to make her feel special. If we experienced one or two of these things we would have let it go and not written this review. But the combination makes it hard to ignore.
My second time dining here in 8 years. The service staff was AMAZING and very attentive to our every need. The cocktails and wine were fantastic, steaks cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the ambience was outstanding.
While i was eating my oysters they tried to take the plate because they had poorly timed my dinner coming out. Filet migon was supposed to be prepared medium rare Wass rubbery and the lobster tail was over cooked.
Extremely over priced and food was average
Absolutely delicious food and impeccable service. Would definitely recommend.
Absolutely terrible food. The potatoes au gratin looked like they were from a box mix.
Excellent service with perfect suggestions. Petite filet cooked exactly to my liking. Loved the truffle fries. Peach Bellini wonderful.
Put in order at 8:45 was served at 10:20 sitting at the bar. No excuse it wasn’t even very busy. Then the food came out raw and terrible. Paid for a nice glass of wine and drink and tiped the bartender she was very nice and left.
Slow slow unattentive service on a $500 check. Food was much better at Del Frisco. Steak was cold. Overall disappointing.
The food and service was very good. It is a goo steakhouse.
Good food, great service. THe lobster ravioli and Ribeye steak were excellent
We arrived a little before our Reservation time but was seated immediately. Our server was pleasant and attentive . The was time to enjoy each course. We never felt rushed. The food was delicious and well prepared. It was a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.
Steaks were ok. Drink orders were mixed up.
I would never go back here.
This place was fine. The steak was good, side dished were adequate. A bit overpriced for the food quality and level of service. The bartender took 30 minutes to make 3 martinis and was angered by the fact that we moved 15 feet during that time. Cmon lady. Next time I will plan ahead so I can get a reservation at Keens or Wolfgangs.
Horrible waiters. Continuously grabbing my wine bottle with their bare hand on the mouthpiece. Everything came at the wrong time. Forgot so many things. Food was horrible.
Absolutely delicious steak - kind and helpful servers - got us in and out in time for our 8pm curtain time - wonderful experience
Dinner and a show. Great service and wonderful food.
The food was so wonderful, we came back a second time!
We arrived early, got seated right away. Had the theatre menu, food was amazng. Got done in plenty of time to get to our play. My new favorite steak place in the theatre district!
Excellent is every aspect
Nice 3 course pre theater menu priced at only $59pp. Attentive service and nice wine list. Found reasonable prices on Orin Swift wines. Will go back when next in theater district
