Staff was very accommodating as we had a party of 6, but not all wanted to do the prix fixe menu. Luis made great suggestions, and thought of every last detail. Food was all great. Seating was a bit tight and hard to hear conversations.
Got drunk and ate too much good food
Having never been and hearing so much praise for Frank Fat’s, when we saw it on the Dine Downtown list, we had to go. Typically when restaurants participate in some sort of food week they pull out all the stops and have an amazing three course dinner... not here.
Our food was undercooked, room temperature, small portions, and boring.
We won’t be going back.
Frank Fat's is a great Sac restaurant. Good quality food. Charming restaurant. Consistently good service. Good vibe in the bar area, and not too loud in the dining area. Fun and unique to Sacramento.
I was very disappointed with this restaurant. I have eaten at the Fats restaurant in Folsom and loved it, but this restaurant left a lot to be desired. The main room is so crowded and so loud that it's like eating in a cafeteria. My husband and I had to shout across the table to hear each other. We were here for anniversary and I had noted on the OpenTable reservation that we would love to have a nice table for this special occasion. Instead we were seated in the cafeteria section of the room, although when I went to the restroom I saw that they had an entire other room with nice quiet booths. The meat in our main dish was chewy and not very flavorful. My husband did enjoy the lamb skewers and the potstickers were fine, although not any different than any Chinese restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not return.
service and our table was excellent. I thought the food would have been overall better than it was. It was good but nothing special. Great location if you are going to Golden 1 arena.
The food here is always amazing. Truly the BEST Chinese restaurant I’ve had in the USA. Tonite our waiter was UBER on top of it. Quite the outstanding meal! This has become our favorite restaurant in the sacramento area. Highly recommended. Those Mongolian short ribs and yu kwok were out of the world. Also keep those lychee martinis flowing. Yummmmmmy.
Had great service from the get go. The food was very good like always. Its was my girlfriends first time there and she loved it. Will definitely go back. Recommend the Honey Walnut Prawns!!🍤
Frank Fat’s is an institution. It has been around a long time and obviously a great place to eat. Our group went to the Sac King’s game and walked over to Fat’s for dinner (just a few blocks from the Golden 1 Center). We all wanted the steak and ordered 2 of those and 5 other dishes. We went home full and were glad we chose Fat’s. We got to sit upstairs and had terrific food and service. Would recommend to everybody!
Nice ramily dinner
