I have eaten at this restaurant many times and always had an excellent experience. This was not the case this past time. The food was underwhelming, the service was terrible, and it was definitely not worth the almost $300 we paid. Very disappointing :(
First time at Franck's for a birthday- the food was above average and kept us guessing how things were done- very interesting and unique. The service was great and we had a good time. We will by all means go again for another occasion!
We went to Franck's specifically for the meatloaf dish. Kind of disappointing to pay $27 for a small ring of meatloaf that is no larger than a hamburger. It was tasty, but not that great when you compare other specialty dishes at fine dining establishments.
Not ideal for a business meeting as the tables are very close together and conversations get mixed with the neighboring guests.
Try the soup.... No matter what! It is always interesting and delicious
I've been here several times and the food is always unique and delicious. The staff is very helpful and friendly without being overbearing. The atmosphere is quiet, comfortable, stylish and intimate. It is pretty pricy so be prepared to pay for the experience. Highly recommended.
We're normally at Franck's for 'Tasting Tuesday'; we've done that special menu over eighty times in the last four years. THIS was a special wine dinner with a set menu. Four excellent courses with wine pairings.
Franck's is our favorite restaurant and the primary reason is Robert Perkins, the head chef. Okay, so there are several other reasons such as an involved and welcoming manager, a talented kitchen and wait staff, close-in valet parking, an attractive small restaurant 'feel' AND that Tuesday Tasting Menu which is the best deal in the valley. We live about thirty minutes away near downtown Salt Lake but always look forward to an evening at Franck's. We've never been disappointed.
If I could give them more stars, I would. Franck's is not a cheap restaurant, but I have been to other fine dining restaurants where I paid twice the price and enjoyed the meal half as much. Do yourself a favor and go there.
Best food in Salt Lake Valley, hands down. We have been fortunate enough to have enjoyed Roberts creations for many years now and have not been let down. Servers, bussers and overall service are exceptional.
Excellent food and service..wine list is decent but extremely over priced.
