Franck`s is a casual fine dining restaurant set in a renovated old home with a warm, contemporary design. The dining room is small and cozy; it’s a friendly neighborhood "getaway". Franck`s menu may be described as American with a French flare. On the menu you will find classic American comfort food such as fried chicken, meatloaf, and steak as well as classic French dishes such as escargot, cheese fondue, etc.
At Franck`s our chef and his team prepares your meal as you watch him in our open kitchen and on our dining room `chef cam`! Franck`s sets a new standard for excellence in cuisine, service and ambiance at reasonable prices.
Friday & Saturday 5:00pm - 10:00pm
A highly recommended restaurant.
Its menu varies daily, but it maintains some staple/popular meals. We tried the cheese fondue as a starter, and it was heavenly. The main course was the Mary's southern fried chicken, which I recommend to anyone. The dessert was also great, even though we thought were full before having them!
The service was top notch from start to finish, starting with the complimentary valet, and our server Moki made it a pleasant experience throughout.
Also, the value was fitting for the food, atmosphere/ambiance, and the service given. We would pay for it again.
We’ll be back, Franck’s!
My husband and I both thought it was one of the most delicious meals we’ve had. It was a unique and delicious experience. The sirloin steak is a must have. We were also mesmerized by the big screen showing the chef and cooks in the kitchen preparing our food! That was a nice touch.
Wonderful family dinner!
The food and service are always excellent here. The menu is limited but we have been here three times and have always been impressed with this restaurant.
Ho Hum…..another Tuesday Tasting Menu at Franck’s that was only extraordinary. Caramelized Branzino as a starter followed by ‘Spicy’ Fried Chicken….followed by crème brulee with romano cheese, Utah cherries, and candied celery.
Over a period of four and a half years we’ve been to Franck’s just over a hundred times. I guess you could call us ‘fans’. LOL
Second time there and we LOVED it!
Had heard about Franck's from a friend. We loved the menu, the atmosphere and the service. Would recommend this place to others.
We had a great night at Franck’s. Delicious food with very nice plating. The chef is full of creativity and the dish is absolutely flavorful. We had sprouts and tomato pie as appetizers. The size was shareable and I was almost full before entrees. My husband said the sprouts dish was the best he ever had. The Wagyu Beef sirloin is a must try. I loved every detail of it.
We have been to Franck's several times and they have yet to disappoint. I had the Fried Chicken, it was different and delicious. Husband had the meat loaf again. It is his favorite. We will be back.
Best Mary’s fried chicken in North America. This was a real treat!
Hands down one of the best dining experiences out there. The space is amazing, small and extremely cozy. Have always had top of the line service from each and every server we've had. The food is inventive and always on point. And Chef Rob makes the experience all the better with his twist on basic plates like fried chicken and meatloaf. I recommend going with a larger party and trying a little bit of everything, like the brussel sprouts and tomato pie to start, or the fondue. Burger Thursday is always a surprise for what he'll come up with. Highly recommend!
Francks's Tasting Menu is always a culinary adventure. I never bother trying to figure out the listed ingredients, I just know it's going to be a feast for the eyes and taste buds. Our son was hungry and ordered the Tasting Menu in addition to the Wagyu steak. He's hyper critical of food but could not say enough good things about how it was perfectly prepared. Miko provided amazing service. We'll be back.
Franck's is one of many fine restaurants in the Salt Lake Valley and is our personal favorite. Robert Perkins is the head chef at Franck's and the reason we're here every Tuesday our schedule permits. We're working on a hundred 'Tuesday Tasting Menus' over the last four and a half years. This is the best deal in the valley at $35.00. You'll not come close to this value anywhere else.
This week's starter was beet-crusted hamachi (and two hundred other ingredients); the main was a Duroc pork loin, avocado, jalapeno, pepperoni aioli, grilled olive & cotija cheese tostada, and dessert was a blistered banana split, two types of gelato with dark chocolate sauce. It was all sensational.
The staff were very helpful and the location was beautiful. The food was excellent as always.
Excellent, as usual. They are really creative in preparing their plates in unique ways. The food is always exceptionally tasty and appealing. Extremely competent operationally.
Great location and ambience. Perfect for a special occasion. We sat outside on the patio which was beautiful. The food was amazing! We will definitely be back!!
Have been several times, it is always different and always amazing. The brussel sprouts are excellent and the soups are awesome. I have loved everything I have tried.
Food is great. The Manager, Mike, always makes sure everything is great.
Franck's is absolutely one of our favorites - just the best. So creative, yet consistent. Now with the summer upon us dining outside is an option - PERFECT !!
I took my husband here for his birthday and we were VERY happy with everything. The food was amazing, service was excellent, and they have a great wine list! The flavors of the dishes were very organic, creative, and fresh. I had Mary's Southern Fried Chicken and my husband had a Wagyu Beef dish. Desert was also incredible and unique! The atmosphere was comfortable and we had a cozy table outside next to the water fountains. We are so glad we found Franck's. Literally one of the best meals (if not the best meal) we've had in Utah. We plan on coming for many more occasions to come!
Always a classic favorite.
Spectacular. We've been going for several years, and have never been less than delighted.
Let’s see….this weeks ‘Tuesday Tasting Menu” at Franck’s featured a starter of Buffalo Duck Wings. This was a first for us and it was exceptional. Robert Perkins outdid himself on this one. The presentation was so beautiful I actually hated to eat it….but eat it we did.
Oh, and then there was the unadvertised soup – different every week - watermelon & Thai chili. Sweet & savory is Robert’s specialty and these soups are local prize-winners.
Kudos also to Angie for her Chocolate –Stout (as in beer) cake with Bourbon Caramel, Drunken Peanuts, and Vanilla Buttercream. All of it calorie-free…..NOT!! LOL
We LOVE this place!
A+ food, staff, service. This is a hidden gem that does not disappoint.
My wife and I use this as a fallback for a wonderful evening out! Tracy, our server, was fantastic and cordial. The food, as always was incredible. I recommend and take friends here when trying to impress. You just cannot go wrong. Go there, find out what you are missing!!
Anniversary dinner. This place is delicious. I had the salmon and my husband had the escolar. Both were beautiful and delicious. We both had the salad and for dessert we had the carrot cake and creamsicle Miso Pot de Creme. To die for! Both so delicious we couldn’t decide which one we liked better. It was the perfect anniversary dinner.
Wonderful food, great ambience and excellent service. We took our kids and the service was a bit slow to accommodate them but they enjoyed the meal and the server accommodated their requests with kindness and thoughtfulness. Soup, as always, was creative and delicious. Highly recommend!
Great food! This a great mix of unquie meals and comfort food. Excellent service. I true gem in the southern Salt Lake valley.
My sister commented that it felt like high class but she felt comfortable like she was right at home.
We have gone to Francks for at least 15 years celebrating our anniversary. I wish we would have known about it sooner.
Love this place, the staff, the food everything.
Make it your special place too.
Easily a top 5 favorite restaurant. The wagyu sirloin tonight was life altering! As was the creamsicle donuts for dessert... It'll be tough to top that but I'll let them try!
Always a great dinner. Never disappoints. Each item delicious.
The art of the hamburger was what we were there for last Thursday. That's the specialty on Thursdays. But if you plan to have that, request it when you make your reservation. They only make so many. We were there at 6:30 and there was a question about if we could have that. We did and it was spectacular
Frank's never disappoints! Food is so good, service is always great!
We’ve been to Franck’s over ninety five times in the last four + years. Most of these have been for ‘Tasting Tuesday” and we can’t recommend this weekly event highly enough. $35 for three courses, different each week, plus an unadvertised soup that is always inspired – a combination of sweet-savory that will have you wondering how he did that. The ‘he’ is Robert Perkins, the head chef.
Kudos also to Mike DeHaan, Franck’s manager. Mike is not just a ‘greeter’. He also helps with table service, manages the wait staff and does an incredible job in maintaining the hundreds of plants that grace the entrance to this delightful small restaurant. We LOVE this place!
So what was on this week’s Tuesday Tasting Menu? Lamb ribs, Sake-brined Cornish Game Hen and a Lime Rickey float for dessert. Same old stuff YOU probably had this evening!
Amazing as always.
Always an excellent meal! Leisurely pace, great for enjoying amazing food and talking with friends.
We love Franck’s. It is our favorite special occasion place. I love the ambience and the service and food are top notch! Worth the money for sure.
