So glad we made the last night.

A colleague was in the city and had previously gone to the restaurant. I felt the food was ok but overpriced. The server was good, we sat outside and was noisy as to be expected on W Georgia street. Should have stayed in Yaletown as we first planned. Not worth it.

YUM YUM YUM MY HUSBAND CLAIMS THIS IS THE BEST VEAL HE HAS HAD SINCE FLORENCE ITALY. MY DUCK DISH WAS GREAT. NICE AMBIANCE . WE WERE PRETTY CASUAL BUT FELT VERY COMFORTABLE. WAITER WAS NOT INTRUSIVE BUT THERE WHEN WE NEEDED SOMETHING. GOOD SIZED PORTIONS, FOOD CAME HOT TO TABLE IN FAIRLY SHORT TIME. HAVING PUBLIC PARKING RIGHT NEXT DOOR MADE THIS VERY CONVENIENT TO THOSE WHO HAVE SOME MOBILITY CONCERNS. THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME EATING HERE AND SINCE WE LIVE IN CALIFORNIA WE CAN"T RETURN SOON BUT WE WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANY VANCOUVER RESIDENT. ONE CAUTION IS THAT TRAFFIC WAS HEAVY SUNDAY EVENING WHEN WE WENT TO DINNER AND STREETS OF VANCOUVER HAVE MANY ONE WAYS AND PEDESTRIANS ONLY SO MAKE SURE YOU GIVE YOURSELF ENOUGH TRAVEL TIME AND KNOW EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE GOING.

Very good experience. 3rd time visiting this restaurant. The outside heating lamp was out of gas and they were able to accommodate us and move us inside once it got cold.

No complaints.....all very good.

The food was very good, Patio is ok. One problem, We informed our weiter that we were using our Sunday, "five and after" half price reduction. However, we were told after we ordered, that one of the Items on the Pasta List was not eligible for the, "five and after" half price reduction. We think that lacks class and speaks poorly for the Restaurant.

My group has been coming to Francesco's for almost 20 years. We love the location, food, the wine, the location, the people who run the place, and of course the city.

Excellent experience as always. We've been to Francesco's many times and it never disappoints. It's old school Italian service with a fantastic menu, good wines and always a pleasant time. We've never had anything but a good experience here.

The first time my wife and I visited this restaurant was ten years ago and found the food to be ok and the service subpar. We thought it was time to give it another chance. Our experience was almost exactly the same, not great food and ok service. On the positive side the linguine was cooked perfectly and our waiters wine recommendation spot on. There were however a few missteps. The veal in the veal masala I ordered was tender but bland and seasonless. I had to add salt to wake it up. We ordered a bottle of sparkling water for the table but instead of asking if we wanted a second bottle when it was done our waiter dumped tap water into my half finished glass of sparkling. As my wife succinctly put it, cute but not too bright.
Overall the place didn't impress us. As there are lots of better restaurants around downtown Vancouver, we won't be back. Maybe we'll try again in another ten years

All around great food and restaurant. With the Groupon, it's very good value.

The appy and desserts were good but the main were more than underwhelming., plus the place was very noisy.

Great service, there were 4 of us, 4 different meals but all the food taste great! Good Italian food, good portions, not too big, not too small.

The best carpaccio I've ever had, and I'm a snob!!!

Not sure whether there is a sense of entitlement or business is so good that there is a lack of focus on trying to be the best, but this was the height if mediocrity; from the impersonal welcome at the door to the rushed attempt to service us at our table to dishes that were overpriced and uninspired, this restaurant is not in Vancouver's big league. A colossal disappointment.

Caesar salad tasted like it was made with old lettuce. Bursts had no flavour. The chicken was overcooked as was the shrimp in the linguine. The service was appalling. At one point 2 servers were assisting the table beside us -- we had been waiting about 10 minutes to place an order. After 20 minutes the wine that was ordered had not appeared. The server said he had to deal with split bills at another table leaving us to wonder about the other 15 minutes. Satisfaction with the food was asked at the end of the meal. We left a $1 tip. We won't be back.

For years we have made a reservation at Francesco's when ever we were in Vancouver. But, this restaurant has gone downhill, very downhill. The service, starting the moment we arrived, was indifferent and lackadaisical. The food was bland and uninspired. It is trying to rest on its reputation but has lost sight of what built the reputation.

Superb food, good service, great ambiance! Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the environment.

From the minute you walk into this restaurant you are welcomed as if you are going into a private home. The food is excellent, a good wine list and exceptional service. Ww always enjoy our evenings at Francescas

I was at the restaurant 35 years ago and found the food and new location to be excellent. I definitely will be back. Our server was wonderful and very helpful.

Belated Valentine's dinner using the Groupon for two. Friendly, impeccable service. Good selections from the limited Groupon menu. Chocolate ganache cake was every bite worth the gluten cheat. Quiet, cozy ambiance. Lovely romantic evening.

We were really impressed with the food, the waiters & receptionist. Very delicious and good Italian food. It is not inexpensive, but with the groupon, it made the evening doable. We had a lot to talk about to each other and the staff, although very friendly & no "attitude", left us on our own.
Our only complaint was the able we were given was rght by a food station, which made it busy and noisier than we would have liked. The food was so gopd that we would prefer a quiet table so we could visit together without distractions. When I told the waiter that, he totally agreed with us, and suggested we talk to the receptionist. We did just that, and she gave us a card and wrote on it, her name and the best tables that she would suggest for is. Unfortunately. That would mean that we would have to bypass "Open Table", but we will do that next time we visit the restaurant.

Francesco's had an amazing staff and even more amazing food ! Worth the price.

Great food, very attentive service, not rushed through your meal, great choice for anniversaries, Valentine's Day, birthdays! Decent wine list. Not an inexpensive meal by any means but very nice for a special occasion. Will be back a couple of times a year for sure!

This was our first time dining here and we had a wonderful evening, nothing could be improved upon and we look forward to going back. The staff were friendly and all our server recommendations for food and wine were winners. There was a nice atmosphere and even though the restaurant was full it wasn't noisy.

Delicious and romantic evening we had! Excellent service from the waitresses and waiters, food was delicious! And the tiramisu is absolutely to die for!

We arrived and were seated at the bar while our table was being prepared. JP and Roberto were working the bar and had us chatting and laughing immediately! Great guys making tasty cocktails. We were seated in a window view table and had excellent service and high quality food. We ended up back at the bar with JP and Roberto for an after dinner Port and then headed home, in a taxi, talking about what a wonderful all round experience we had. Best time we've had in a Vancouver restaurant in years. We will be back soon and often!!

A warm welcome from staff on a snowy Vancouver evening. There was no pressure to push us out the door into the cold, and a bonus is that the restaurant validates part of the parking at the lot right next door. I highly recommend for a friend's night out.

We ordered the mussels as for appetizer, it's not that fresh & shrinks
