Francesco's Ristorante & Pizzeria Ratings and Reviews
We have eaten here many times. The Chicken Parmigiana is the best I've had in Orlando. My wife likes to order a special chicken dinner, and Francesco is always happy to accommodate. Very friendly atmosphere. The wait is a little long at times, but it's worth it.
We had a wonderful time.Service was excellent as well. We each enjoyed our meals but above all else, everyone at our table raved about my lasagna.
On a side note, shouldn't I have received 1000 points for this table? It was showing as a 1000 point booking for the night of March 25, through the app and a special email I received.Thank you
We've been there many times and enjoy the food. This time I ordered the Veal special. It was the first time I've ordered Veal in many many years. Yikes, it was tough and chewy. The waiter was so nice that I just gutted it out and ate half of it. I thought he'd question why so much was left on the plate but up went the plate and out the door. Overall it's a pretty great place and a good value.
I enjoyed the food and atmosphere, but the David could have been more attentive. It took a while to get water refills and the check at the end. We also had to get the him to split up the bill at the end which resulted in another wait when he could have asked how to set up the bill. The food was excellent, as usual, and the seating was great.
This restaurant is truly a neighborhood gem. It doesn't look like much from the outside and you may even miss it when you drive by but you should try it. We have done dinner and lunch there and have always been pleased with the service and food. The owner is a hands on chef and with the open kitchen you can see him cooking and supervising each every order. Have never been disappointed. Not a place to go though, if you are in a hurry. Relax and enjoy the experience.
I've enjoyed this place from day one last year. It's nice to find TRUE Italian food. I'm from jersey originally and we have some of the tastiest Italian around. So I give this place 5 stars for sure!. I tell people ALL the time to try Franscescos out. Everyone has been pleased.
Perhaps it was the mood of Valentine's eve, but I found my first visit to Francesco's to be less than hoped-for. From the overall noisy environment to the two wandering troubadors bellowing operatic numbers, the environment was very loud. My party of two was seated at the bar despite our request for a table and it was only after we had walked out the door, the maitre'd "found" us a table. Our server, Jim was attentive and worked as speedily as the environment allowed.
I went to Francesco's with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. It was her recommendation that we try this place. I made a reservation through opentable.com. The confirmation email I received was a nice reminder in case i had to cancel. When I got to the restaurants I was greeted and immediately sat a nice booth a long the wall. The service to was quick and prompt with drinks and appetizers. The food was great (pizza and ceasar salad)! i will come back just for the food. I thought the wine menu was pricey, not much under $9.00/glass. So i went with a Peroni. It was served really cold and went great with the pizza.
The only con to this experience came at the end of the meal when it became very obvious that my friend and I had worn out our welcome. We were interrupted multiple times by different people asking to box up the food we were still picking at. The server kept coming by and asking to make sure we didn't need anything else even after we told her we were just going to relax and chat. She casually mentioned there was another reservation and needed the table. We paid our tab and left right away. We looked around as we left and there were plenty of open tables. It was a Thursday night so its not like there was a wait either. What if we wanted to stay and have a few more drinks?! I was going to order something to-go for my husband but since we were getting the boot, i just brought him my leftovers that we let one of the bus boys box-up after being asked 5 times. My friend and I left with a "what the heck" feeling. A disappointing ending to a delicious meal.
Overall i was pleased with the meal and the restaurant. I will come back but i'll definitely have this experience in the back of my mind.
I found Francesco's to be a little noisy this time. We keep searching for a little quieter place to eat, without being totally quiet. Also the dessert was very chewy. It had good flavor but was not quite the pastry we were looking for. Waiter was very nice and the dinners were good.
