Awesome food along with very attentive service.
We had a very nice experience food and service were wonderful. Our only issue was the very tiny parking lot. Take advantage of the free valet parking and enjoy every moment of your evening.
Our server was prompt, friendly, and helpful in describing some items on the menu. The food arrived in good time, and was excellent and hot! We chose just gelato from the ample dessert menu since that was a perfect small dessert after the great entree's.
Francesca’s was really busy last Saturday but our reservation was honored right on time. Food was delicious and our younger friends enjoyed theirs too.
Extremely loud & very crowed. Food was just OK and expensive as it is A LA Cart
We were celebrating my mom's birthday. The weather outside was miserable but inside the restaurant, it was cozy and warm. The service was great, and the food was fabulous!
We were warmly greeted by Aaron. The service of Juan was absolutely perfect. The food was excellent, especially the special with scallops served in a tomato cream sauce and spinach over pasta.
Good. Juan was great. Special Tilapia was overpriced.
This was for my daughter’s 13th birthday. The food is always flavorful and fresh. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and patient with all of us. Highly recommend!
LONG TIME NEIGHBORHOOD FAVORITE.
WE ARE READY FOR SOME UPDATES TO THE FURNISHINGS! RESTROOMS, TABLES/CHAIRS, BAR ETC. ALL GET HEAVILY USED AND COULD USE REFRESHING.
The menu changes often. Nice sized portions. The tiramisu is amazing!
It was ok but we had a couple slight problems with the restaurant. First it was not a sit down meal it was a buffet. They sent me a text the day before to let me know it was a buffet and it was $ 30.00 per person and $ 15.00 per child. After dinner when we got our check they were trying to charge us $ 38.00 per person, luckily I still had the text and proved to them they said $ 30.00. The restaurant agreed and took care of the tab and did charge me the $ 30.00 per person. It was taken care of very well and we were very impressed how well quickly it was taken care of. We will be back.... Thanks
I have been to Francesca's Tavola many times because my parents live in Arlington Heights. I have been a fan of all Francesca's restaurants since they opened in their original location on Clark Street in Chicago.
I took my parents here for Easter brunch. Compared to some other restaurants, the brunch is not big, but all of the items served are well-prepared, fresh and delicious. I loved the Italian entrees that they have available on the table, too. We had a choice of a $5 Mimosa or Bloody Mary to go with our meal. The servers were attentive and friendly.
The only negative is that brunch is served in a rather small room and they split the bread and dessert into a separate room. It's rather odd because they have fixings for bagels in one room and the bagels in another room. When it was busy, there is a crowd of people waiting to get into the brunch room. However, based on the size of the rooms and the layout of the restaurant, there is not too much they can do about it.
I was surprised to find out that Francesca's does not honor Open Table's reward cards (which I had with me that day). They graciously made up for it in other ways, but Open Table reward card users should be aware of Francesca's policy (I was not).
Otherwise, a terrific experience. I will be back.
Great service and food. We very much enjoyed dining at this location. The food was excellent with several different menu offerings. The service from the host stand to the waiter was exceptional. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Since the Francesca's Compagna suddenly closed, we've had to change the one we go to. We stopped here after picking up our son from the airport. It was delicious, as Francesca's normally are! My husband is in a wheelchair and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Our server, Christine, was knowledgeable and attentive.
Would highly recommend! Unfortunately, we don't go to Francesca's as often, since Compagna closed. :(
Food and service is always excellent.
The food was exceptionally good. The branzino was the best I have ever had anywhere. The three-course dinner on Wednesday nights is quite a value. And what made the whole experience even better was the service of Michael.
We enjoyed every minute of our visit to Francescas’s. The host staff was courteous and accommodating. Service was top notch and the food was awesome. We haven’t been to this location in quite sometime. We plan on returning soon.
Birthday celebration! All was good waiter was very nice & friendly
Good home made food & pasta!
Been there many times with wonderful food and service. This time I could only describe the service as inept and neglectful. Very disappointing. I tried to give the service a 0 but the review software didn’t allow it.
Wonderful waiter, very attentive and friendly.
Great! Good food and nice atmosphere
The service was good, but the attention bordered on too much. Our water glasses were being refilled after almost every sip. The waiter also topped off wine glasses with plenty of wine already in them. We were being poured wine faster than we were drinking it.
It all felt very rushed. We would have appreciated a little more privacy from the wait-staff but that's a tough balance between not enough attention and too much attention.
Our dinners were delicious and reasonably priced.
Went with my girlfriend for Saturday nite date nite and had a very nice evening. The atmosphere was busy and service was on the mark. We had the calamari appetizer which was really good. Lite flaky batter and not greasy. We split a salad which was enough for us both. I had the twin filets on a bed of mashed potatoes...awesome! My girlfriend had the seafood pasta special and the portion was large with good size shrimp and scallops. Didn't have room for dessert, but the option s looked good. All in all, a fine neighborhood restaurant..4 out of 5 stars for me.
Celebrated birthdays with 6 friends. The food & service was excellent! They surprised us with 6 profiteroles for dessert & were very attentive to us even as we spent over 2 hours leisurely enjoying our lunch.
Always good food and service!
I wish I had more to say!!
We sat in the bar/lounge area because there were two large birthday parties in the main dining room. Good decision as the lounge was quiet and very comfortable. The service was excellent and the food very good. We all enjoyed our pasta dishes.
My wife, daughter and I decided to go out for dinner and wanted a nice Italian place. This was our first time at Francesca's and it was terrific. I had a rigatoni in creamy tomato sauce with spiced sausage. Delicious! I ate every last morsel. My daughter had the cheese ravioli and loved it. She also finished the whole plate. I do not remember what my wife had but I do know she also loved her entree. The service was great and waiters were very attentive. The moment we sat down we were brought warm bread and parmesan cheese (olive oil was already on the table). Shortly after that our waiter was there taking our drink order. All in all it was a great meal and definitely worthwhile. What a nice surprise. We'll be back!
We've been dining at Francesca's Tavola for several years now, and we are continually pleased. We were celebrating a birthday, with 4 in our party. Although it was an extremely busy night, and the noise level a bit more elevated than normal, we were seated immediately with our reservations.
The menu is always changing, which makes every dining experience a treat. They are terrific with special diets, which is a relief as one member of our party has multiple food allergies and never has to worry. Service is prompt by the wait staff, and food comes out fresh and hot. Portion sizes are quite large, leaving one with another delicious meal the next day also.
We will continue to dine at Francesca's Tavola for special occasions.
I come for lunch quite often and always order the same (shrimp mare e Macon)? It is my favorite meal. I ordered it this past evening and also my guest did as I highly recommended it. I was disappointed. The sauce was heavier than usual and not as tasty. Did you change chefs? Is the evening chef different than the lunch time chef.? I was very disappointed as was my guest
Very good food and service. Especially I would like to recognize the manager, Aaron Nunag.
He was very friendly and accommodating. Made our dining experience very pleasant.
Kudos to Aaron from all 4 of us.
we are longtime customers and will be forever loyal. eating or drinking with our longtime server/friend Rene is always a treat. he knows the food as well as the chef. he understands service!
the chef is amazing and authentic Italian-not just wanna be Italian.
as a long time loyal customer here is my request: Mr. Harris PLEASE spend some of the money you have made here on refreshing the place! Not one thing has changed since our first visit it 2001. the tables in the bar have to be shimmed up as they are all uneven. the ladies room doesn't look or feel fresh because even if clean--it looks old and worn.
you get the message you are a smart businessman I know!
The service and food is always wonderful, one of our favorite restaurants.
Francesca’s Tavola is a great restaurant. Management goes out to say hello and make you feel welcomed. We had a booth with Kenny. Kenny is incredible in every way. Professional, friendly, attentive with outstanding service. The people who work with Kenny are very good. We started with Fried Calamari which was perfect. Then we had the Rigatoni with large chunks of mozzarella cheese for our pasta. Our entree was the Chicken Vesuvio with the best gravy you’ll ever taste. Finally, Profiteroles with Pistachio gelato and chocolate sauce. I had a wonderful hot tea and my husband had a cappuccino. Just a great dining experience.
While our food was good. We were there for throw back menu prices, but there was only 3 items on the special throw back menu, one of which was a salad. So what was special; pork chops or lasagna. The prices were not exactly throw back prices. Wine was offered at half price for a bottle and our waitress seemed to be pushing that even tho I mentioned there are only two of us dining and we didn’t need a full bottle. I order a merlo at 5 oz and my husband order a 8 oz. when the bill came my wine jumped from 9 to 14. So I am thinking lasagna at 15: salad at 14, appetizer at 14 and two glasses of wine at 14 each was not my idea of a special on a Monday. Nest time will call before hand and review the menu before coming out on a winter night. So to me there was nothing special about the evening!
Food excellant service very good meal great value
Always enjoy Francesca’s
Fabulous atmosphere with the most friendly staff. The food was awesome. Loved everything!
Wonderful every time! They were packed, but the service was still spot on and our server was great and friendly! The food was absolutely delicious. One of my favorite places for a reason .
