Francesca's Tavola Ratings and Reviews
I have had dinner here over 3 times and always find the service and food pretty good. Its a solid middle of the road place to eat. Veal is always tasty and the salads are the best. Prices could be a little lower, but the potions are decent size, so I figure its a good value
Absolutely beautiful Italian restaurant with great food on the menu. My 10-year-old daughter made her custom pizza, she loved it, my husband loved the seafood and I loved the pasta and vegetables. Fresh hot bread from the oven. I wish the waiter would’ve been a little bit faster and more attentive. The busboy was actually better than the waiter. Still I very much enjoyed the entire night and will surely return!!!!!
We had dinner in the bar, and I’m sorry I’m not positive of of waiters name but I’m thinking John. I wish I could remember because he was excellent! Actually the whole staff was amazing!
Dinner was excellent as well from wine, to delicious beet salad, to outstanding pasta for the main coarse. I have not been to this location in quite a while, but will be back.
The halibut was very good; however, the risotto was disappointing. The crew which delivers the food needs organization and training. The were delivering food without knowing which diner had ordered which dish. And in one case, they delivered one entree from another table to our table.
The waiter was friendly and efficient as were the personnel at the hostess station.
The hard surfaces in the restaurant make the noise level quite loud when the restaurant is full.
I really like coming to this restaurant. The menu is always changing- which I find a rare quality. The wait staff is very nice and professional. The food is terrific...good selection of beverages. The bar area is big enough to fit people comfortably- whether they eat and see the game on the screen or enjoy conversation!
The food was excellent and to my surprise they even had their lasagna, which I love! Our server was excellent and all food was prepared in a timely manner. It was also a great opportunity to help them raise funds for the Houston Hurricane relief. We were glad to participate and help them to reach their goal.
We had a table for eight and they put us at a round table in the back so we could have an enjoyable conversation and hear each other. The food was excellent. My husband went in complaining about the price and left commending the outstanding food. I chose this place because I had not been there in years and went to lunch with a friend a few weeks back and it was just great.
Food was exceptionally good and reasonably priced. Most pasta and chicken entrees under $20. We had a party of six, with two late arrivals. Each time one of our guests arrived, the server was quick to get a drink order, but we waited a LONG time for her to come back and take our dinner order after everyone arrived. Dinner arrived quickly, our server checked on us once, and then we didn't see her again for 30 minutes. She passed out dessert menus without asking if we wanted coffee or anything else, and then disappeared for another 15 minutes. We were planning to order coffee and dessert, but by this point we were just ready to leave. I'll go back for the food and the value -- hoping that the server just had an off night...
Our guests thought some old school Italian dishes would have been nice. My $12 Manhattan was weak. Our waiter was very good. My jumbo shrimp was fresh tho not jumbo. My friend ordered $42 ribeye. Asked for it Medium Well. It was pink inside. He chose not to say anything. Overall I wanted more considering the prices.
Everything from ease of making the reservation to ordering with the fine assistsnce of our waiter was great. Food was well prepared, the wine list was well explained and the dessert was wonderful. This restaurant is not to be missed and well worth the return trip.
