Francesca's Passaggio Ratings and Reviews
I haven’t been to this restaurant since high school(about 13 years) and things have definitely changed for the better! Food was delicious for both myself and my girlfriend. She’s vegan and the server helped her pick just the right meal. The service was great, price wasn’t too bad for that type of food and it smelled soo good in the whole restaurant! Definitely coming back!
They were running 1/2hr behind the reservation schedule. Got the table at 8:00. The service was extremely poor. Had to ask items multiple times and still didn’t get it. Was charged for drinks that were ordered but never came. They corrected the bill after we pointed out. Have been to this location multiple times without experiencing such poor service. I will think twice before making a reservation on a busy day like Valentine’s. I guess they did not have trained staff on a busy day.
I normally like this restaurant. I’ve been dining there with friends and family for ten years. But our Valentine’s Day dinner was disappointing. The main issue was that we had to wait 30 minutes for our table despite having a reservation and the hostess wasn’t the least bit apologetic about it. When we were finally seated, it was at the worst table in the house, right next to the door to the kitchen. Items were missing our table, including olive oil and napkin/utensils for one of our party, our bread was not replenished, and our daughter’s beverage wasn’t delivered until we reminded our waiter. Our waiter was trying his best, but he was clearly stretched too thin. My husband enjoyed his steak but my striped bass was bland and fishy in parts. Even my daughter’s plain cheese pizza wasn’t very good. I probably would’ve been more likely to overlook the lackluster food and table service if the hostess’s attitude hadn’t already soured the evening for me. I did not feel like a long time valued customer and I don’t know if I will return.
Valentine's Day was not a happy occasion at Francesca's. They crammed in as many tables as possible and the wait staff had no chance of keeping up. It took a half hour after sitting down before we got a glass of wine. Because of the extra tables, they had no idea where to deliver the food. Everyone around us, including us, had the wrong order delivered.
The food was very good as usual. We just will avoid on busy days.
We have eaten at Francesca's many times, and the food and service have always been very good. However, this time, the service was poor. The waiter took 5 minutes to greet us, and was inattentive during the meal. It took very long between courses. We ordered a cream puff for dessert, waited 20 minutes, and finally left cash on the table and left before our waiter returned or the dessert was delivered.
Food was great. Server was exceedingly slow. We were not in a hurry, but initially we had to find someone to ask for bread, when our meal came our server didn’t check in, see if we needed anything, refill water or ask about additional drinks. We had to flag him down to get dessert menus.
I love this restaurant. I live down the street.....but I love the food and the service. It is a upscale restaurant, but it isn't "stuffy"......it's great for dinner as a couple or a business lunch or lunch with friends. GREAT FOOD. GREAT STAFF Joanne took great care of us as our server for our business lunch. The pricing is amazing. You get excellent chef prepared meals and they are generous with their portions. If I went up the street to a "chain" italian restaurant, I would pay more for alot less .
We are big fans of the Francesca's restaurants but had not been to this location in several years and were unsure what to expect. It did not disappoint. Far from it. All four in our party agreed they had never had a bad meal at a Francesca's. The prosciutto app was awesome. I had the salmon dish, with capers, and it was cooked to perfection.
I dislike being rushed when going to a nice dinner where pasta dishes are around $20 each. The food tasted like it been sitting around "waiting" for someone to order and not freshly made. It seemed like we were a table to turn around as fast as they could....and it wasn't even busy.
My husband and I always love to dine at Francesca's Passaggio. The food never fails to delight and the service and ambiance meet and often exceed our expectations. I'm not sure if this is a new policy but, on Sundays, children now eat free. Our Sunday dinner was very negatively impacted by this. We had to sit through our wonderful meal listening to a loud, crying little boy. The service was very poor. I don't know if the restaurant was not fully staffed or if this was because there were large tables with many children. At a minimum, we will not go back on Sundays to dine.
This was our second visit in the last 6 months. We did not have a good experience on our last visit and unfortunately this visit was the same. The service was lacking again and the food was less than average. We sat at our table for a good 10 minutes before being acknowledged, had to ask for bread after 20 minutes before it was brought out with no oil or Parmesan cheese. Additionally, our appetizer (a cold one) took over 20 minutes and we had to remind the waiter several times to bring it. Our food came shortly after the appetizer and was cold. There was no quality check and for most of the evening the waiter was scarce. If it would have been busy, that would have been understandable, but it wasn't. Lastly, we had to flag down the bus boy for our check. We will not return.
Open table reservation requested a table away from a high traffic area . Seated my wife and I just inside a door way between the main dining area and a smaller room. Most of diners in the room we were in had younger children which made it quite loud. Salads arrived too soon after delivery of appetizer. Then waited longer than expected for entrees after salads had been cleared. Spouse ordered the Tilapia special which very thin, over-cooked and dried out. Manager offered to redo which was declined, so he comped the entree. The filet entree which I had was excellent as was the pecan pie dessert. Food server was excellent.
Waitress was not attentive. I had to keep waiving her down for our dining needs. We were really disappointed. It's always a full house and we almost always have great service. Our table was tiny, and loaded with plates. There was no room so it was very uncomfortable. The used plates were not being picked up. Drinks were not refilled. We were asking our food runners for things we needed. When our waitress was at the table, she was great. I just would have appreciated her coming to us, rather than us hunting her down. It ruined the dining experience. Maybe it was just a rough night for her. Not sure.
While normally very good in terms of service and food, service and food quality were a bit off on this date. For instance, I ordered the mushroom ravioli, but they were out of that and offered to substitute "spinach" ravioli. Another guest in our group requested a particular sauce for Gluten Free pasta and the dish was brought with Alfredo (not the requested sauce). However, I'm convinced these are isolated incidents and the restaurant was very busy.
