Wonderful atmosphere. Food was very tasty. Great proximity to Broadway Theater and easy parking nearby.
Have a good food and good price
The service was great - the waiter was so accommodating when we were annoying and wanted half orders of dishes. He was very patient and suggested great dishes. The food was excellent too. We have been to other Francesca locations before, though not this one. They never disappoint.
Francesca's was able to accommodate our party of 6 last minute on Friday night. We were seated right away and had great service. The waiter was attentive for most of the meal and was very, very helpful in making sure certain members of our party had food that fit their dietary needs (allergies, etc.) They were incredibly conscientious about this which was so appreciated. Our meals were very good and we all had a fun night.

During a terrible weather weekend in Chicago, Francesca's provided a warm comfortable setting with excellent Italian fare. Conversation friendly, it allowed me and my wife and my niece to catch up and enjoy each other's company.
We plan to come back, however, it is noisy. But the food is very well prepared and wines are wonderful.
We had a wonderful time. The mozzarella, tomato basil salad Was outstanding. However,, I ordered the braised beef and artichoke dish. I was disappointed because there was very little meat, maybe 6 bites and a whole boatload of pasta. Everyone else loved the meals and we loved the atmosphere and experience.

Went for date night - gave us a cozy table by the window. Service was outstanding - attentive but not hovering! Had the shrimp & pasta - large, juicy shrimp in an excellent tomato based sauce.
Wonderful food and drinks! Was a great evening with friends. Unfortunately, the waitress seemed to forget about us after the salads came to the table. We wanted dessert but got so tired of waiting for a menu and the waitress that we asked for the check not knowing when we might see her again.
I really like Francesca's on Chestnut, even when I can't get a table downstairs! This meal was no exception - Bruschette Alla Romana is a must, and the smoked salmon appetizer special was fantastic. My date and I shared the Veal medallions in white wine lemon sauce and it was spectacular - fresh baby spinach just barely sauteed and thick, luscious pieces of veal cooked perfectly to mid-rare. My only complaint, I got the wrong cocktail and the bartender insisted (via our server) it was what I ordered - seems easier to just acknowledge the mistake.
The brunch menu was wonderful. Several breakfast or lunch items from which to choose.
We had a terrible waiter though; one of the very few times I could not leave 20% tip

So many wonderful entrees to choose from. We all enjoyed our dinners. The salmon, pasta and chicken dishes we ordered were delicious. Service was great. We chose Francesca's because it's a great location when seeing a play at the Broadway Playhouse . But we'll come back just for the food!

Francesca's provides an outstanding neighborhood option to the crowded Rush Street scene. Their menu changes with nightly specials and seasonal shifts which allows for the opportunity to explore new entrees or stick with the regular items. A great place for a meal, where you can carry on a conversation without screaming and also not feel rushed by the staff

Consistently friendly service and good food. Prices more reasonable than many restaurants in this area.
Great food and great server. Just seemed that the notes on my reservation were completely ignored. I requested a table away from service stations and preferably along the windows. My guest and I were seated at a four top table near the stairs that lead up to a secondary dining area. So not only were we near the service station, we had a great view of it.
It was super delicious! Management and service was on point! Great restaurant for a special occasion or just a casual date!

Great food in a lively yet neighborhood oriented vibe. Great find in streeterville area highly recommend.
Ages ranging from barely 6 to almost 80.
We live a 5 minute walk away and this neighborhood offers a vast array of alternatives but Francesca is our go-to choice with a menu broad enough to satisfy anyone. Venue was packed but service still up to the mark.

While staying at the Drake, we had dinner at Francesca's on Chestnut. It was a short 2-block walk. The restaurant is lovely with excellent food and service. Will definitely return.
Downstairs here is great--quiet with an additional menu. The squid ink pasta dish is exceptional! Always a good meal here, good location and reasonable in price.

This day was Throw Back Tuesday to celebrate their anniversary so pricing was extremely reasonable. Our table of 4 was engrossed in conversation and took a long time to decide on our orders. The waiter was very patient and helpful; he didn’t try to hurry us. Our water glasses were promptly refilled.
Mom/daughters weekend trip to Chicago to celebrate upcoming wedding with future daughter-in-law. Francesca's was convenient to our hotel on Magnificent Mile, too group reservations, and varied menu with something for everyone. Staff (esp. Reese) was outstanding!!
