Francesca's North Ratings and Reviews
Restaurant was very noisy, mostly due to music playing. Maybe we were directly below the speaker
Good is always good. However my salmon came and it seemed to have been sitting out. It was not warm. I told the waiter who must have put it in the microwave. Came back hot but dried out. Flavor was good. My friends had a very yummy meal
Valentine's Day dinner was OUTSTANDING! The place was very busy. Service was top notch. The food was spectacular. We ordered off the menu rather than the Valentine Special. Wait staff was really hustling.
I've been to Francesca's North numerous times for special occasions as well as a business lunch and even weeknight dinner. They NEVER disappoint, and are one of the BEST Italian restaurants in the area. I look forward to going back for another great time.
Delicious, healthy food though servers brought the main entree right after the appetizer was served. We felt rushed and assumed they wanted to turn the table. They kept trying to take our plates while we were in the middle of eating. Consequently, not a relaxed meal. The food is excellent amidst a high volume in a lovely room. Good service if you are in a hurry.
Usually, this bustling place is welcoming and serves classic Italian comfort food. I love the burrata salad and the fact that they will make the chicken romano to your order as boneless breast instead of a 1/2 chicken. The pastas that get mixed hot in the parmesan wheel are terrific.
This time they fell a bit short of the mark because we had a very long wait between cocktails and ordering and the food was bit cold upon arrival. Perhaps just attributable to being short staffed- hopefully this was just a one time glitch. We hope the restaurant will continue to be one of our old standbys.
Hadn't been here in awhile and I can't wait to go back. eggplant appetizer salad was delicious and large enough for all of us to taste. My pasta with shrimp and clams in a spicy light sauce was delicious and the Chicken Romano moist and delicious. will go back in a few weeks but will go early to avoid the crowds
Ease of parking, delicious food, friendly wait staff. Biggest issue is the noise level. Way too loud. We felt like we had to scream to be heard. Got tired of saying "what did you say"? There's got to be a way to fix that. I'd go back for the wild mushroom polenta. You could eat that out of a shoe and it would be delicious! Please work on the noise level.
We have been here before, at least four times and this time I was not happy with my food. The gnocchi were very salty! I ate some but they were bad. The pasta someone else got was not very good either. The waiter was great, prompt and very pleasant. The place has a very nice ambiance.
Excellent authentic Italian food. The waiter remembered it was our daughters 28th birthday and he brought them each a delicious pistachio gelato filled puff with a lit candle-nice touch. My son said it was one of the best dinners he ever had-filet. The linguini served tableside from a huge Parmesan "tub" was impressive. The $5 Cosmo didn't hurt.
Even though reservations were made a week out they weren’t prepared for us, didnt seem like they remembered calling me the day before to confirm. First table was unacceptable, by the kitchen bathrooms and very noisy party. I’ve been going to this place since it opened and find it very on and off these days. Service slow and food only so so
Last minute find for out-of-town relatives arriving a day early. They are world travelers and foodies, so the pressure was on. The place was jam-packed on a Friday at 7 pm, but the restaurant was well run and once seated, you felt free to linger. Our meal was exceptionally delicious! Fresh Italien food made perfectly. Just enough menu choices. Francesca's never fails.
Food was typical solid Francesca's, but the service and the timing of our dishes was disappointing. After we ordered appetizers, we could never find our waiter to get more drinks, more water, more bread, or order our entrees. Kids meals came out 25 mins before adult entrees, so kids were completely finished before adults were served their entrees. Waiter brought out a pinot noir instead of a pinot grigiot. Too expensive of a meal to have service issues detract from the overall dinner.
I took my family here for Thanksgiving meal. I realize this is an Italian restaurant but they offered a traditional Turkey & dressings meal. Unfortunately, the mashed potatoes were cold. Not mildly warm, COLD! Stuffing was mush. Terrible. The rest of the meal including the turkey was delicious. Server was top notch. Meal and alcohol prices are steep.
