Only problem was they were running about 1 hour behind reservation times.

Not a good date restaurant. Packed, extremely popular and super loud. 15 minute wait despite reservation, but in fairness - a Friday night, and again - a very popular place. Entire front entrance was shoulder to chest with other customers waiting for their tables, to the point that leaving required a jostling gauntlet just to make it to the door (picture trying to get to the other side of a crowded subway car). The food was okay (not great), and prices weren't terrible. Just not what I expected. Not the a place for a quiet meal.

This has become our "home dining room" - so comfortable, so consistent, so friendly. All foregoing further made even better due to Lisa, Chris, Paul, Michele et al.

Good service and liked better than the Northbrook location. We will be back!

Our server was so slow-maybe he was new? Forgot drinks never refilled waters-messed up orders. Disappointing as it was a special occasion for a friend. Each said they may not go back

I was very disappointed in the service. My ice tea was never refilled or even asked about. The ordering took forever. There was no apology or even recognition that we were neglected. I had taken a client there and it was quite embarrassing

Lovely experience. One of our favorite spots.

The only negative is that we had to wait 20 minutes with a reservation. However it was 7:30 on a Saturday. Once we were seated the food and service were very good. I had the roasted chicken and the sauce alone could have been eaten.
My wife had a pasta with shrimp. It was a bit spicy for me but she enjoyed it. The doughnuts we had for dessert were fantastic. Overall I would go back just maybe not at such a busy time.

We’ve been coming here for years now. We decided to try new wine tonight and selections from the menu we haven’t tried before. AMAZING. When my wife and I go out at the end of the week, we are exhausted from the work week. Going here to eat - makes it all worth it. If you fancy time with your loved one, want excellent food and service, this is the place to go. The staff is amazing and they are just as nice meeting you the first time as over the years.

Ps. If they have the crab cakes when you go, try them for sure, as well as the burrata o’vesuvio.

Everything was wonderful. My husband and I both started with a Caesar salad, which I followed with a rigatoni with eggplant and my husband the lobster and homemade pasta special enter which he really enjoyed. Our friends also liked their meals, including a gluten free pasta dish one ordered that isn't even on the menu! The Waiter was very hospitable, and he never made us feel rushed.

The service was very slow and the noise level was high, probably due to the fact that there were two large parties at the time we were dining. The food was terrific.

We love all of the Francesca's restaurants, especially Intimo. We visited on a Sunday for "brunch" since there was a brunch menu on OpenTable; however, this location does not serve a brunch. We were very well taken care of, though, and did enjoy our meal - ravioli and a Napoletana pizza. Always delicious!

Had reservations for 6:30pm. Arrived early, but took 10 minutes to find a parking spot.
Fought my way to reservation podium, where we waited 1/3 hr on our reservation, with nowherr to stand.
Pasta was mediocre, while sausage was very good.
Wine service with 5 and 8 oz servings and prices was strange.
No one rushed us, so we enjoyed our time eating.

Food & service we’re good as usual. Restraint was crowded & noisy.

We took advantage of their special on meatballs and they were very good and with a side of pasta to split with our grandson very filling. by arriving early at 5:00 we missed much of the crowd, and it was quieter than normal too.

We are there weekly, reserved a booth more than a week in advanced, got to the restaurant early . The hostess said nothing and started to walk us to a table. We said we requested a booth - she turned with a scowl on her face and walked us to a table. She put the menus on the table, and left - she said nothing -didn’t address us.
The busboy came over , greeted us and said thank you for coming.
The hostess was rude, not what we expected when we are there weekly. Not sure when we will be back.

Very impressed that they honored our reservation within 5 minutes on a very busy night. We had a terrific very competent server! We will be back.

Always good food here--and always busy--but worth the wait.

Always liked the food, menu and service. Unfortunately this location has a horrible space.
It is very cramped, way too small for the number of people and seating. Noise level description should read "deafening" - not "energetic. Impossible to carry a conversation.

Having people pushing their way though it and blocking the tiny entryway is not enjoying a night out.

Very busy and they have stepped up their game. Glad they no longer pour wine glasses with an eye dropper. Two glass sizes work. Great food and gracious service. Thanks love this place!

We felt very rushed from the time we sat down. Servers were pushing for us to hurry and eat so they could sit the next customer. I have never been treated like that at any of the other Francesca’s restaurants. Was not pleased at all.

As part of the local Francesca's chain, Intimo has very good food and a freindly atmosphere. My only issue is with their "happy hour". According to their website they have one but there's nothing about it at the bar or anywhere in the restaurant, so if they're going to offer it, they should let customers know (and not charge unsuspecting individuals sitting at the bar the full drink price during weekdays 3:30-6pm)

Francesca's is not a cookie-cutter American-Italian spaghetti house. Rather it is a wonderful and authentic Italian restaurant with creative and delicious food. The menu features homemade pastas and sauces, delectable fish, seafood, and meat entrees, select cheeses and fresh vegetables that are all a cut above the usual Italian fair. It is highly recommended.

Always wonderful! Salmon Aqua Pazi is my favorite and they will always make it even when not on the menu. Fabulous veal medallions. Great martinis. Always fun. Our go to place to eat out and to take out.

Our dinner at Francesca's Intimo was one of the best I have ever had. Our waitress was excellent, her wine choices and explanation of a couple of items on the menu were spot on. Our meal was cooked perfectly, I had the salmon and my wife had pasta with vegetables. I can't wait to go back.

Appetizer was very good. Husband got special- steak and I wished I had done same. He really liked his. Was in mood for pasta so I ordered the mushroom, asparagus and shrimp pasta dish and was very disappointed. No flavor whatsoever. Service was uber slow and inattentive. Won’t go back .

We were Celebrating my husband Birthday as well as San Valentine. Food was very good, real Italian flavors (same as my parents home), music was good. Service was a little slow, I think it was because the restaurant was really crowded. Francesca's Intimo in Lake Forest is my place to go for Special Occasions.
