Asha did a wonderful job. She gave us honest recommendations and checked on us frequently.
We really enjoyed our dining experience at Francesca's. The food was great, and the service was good too.
Attentive and prompt service, food was great.
Our meals add service were great!
Good food and value in a perfect location , relaxed atmosphere
We had a party of 7. All the food we had was excellent, and service seemed to be right there every time we needed something. All staff was friendly. Only problem: they had run out of tiramisu.
This Francesca's location always has excellent food! I was in the mood for beef, but no beef was on the menu. I spoke to the server who talked to the chef, and had an excellent filet mignon with an "al fungi" preparation that I love and have had many times, which was also not on the menu. Every dish is always wonderful!
Great ambiance, nice portions, food good, accommodate gluten free.
I had a sea bass with shrimp in a lobster sauce. It was very good. I had a cocktail followed by a glass of red Italian wine which was very nice. The service was friendly. It was a bit noisy but not to bad, it didn’t distract from the dinner. Sometimes I prefer a lively atmosphere
Always a solid choice. Great food, great service and a beautiful place to sit outside on a nice evening.
We really enjoyed our dinner and the service was outstanding. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and had a good sense of humor. He remembered us from a previous visit, and made us feel very welcomed.
Great place to dine
Loved the exceptional choices in every category, generous portions, worth the trip
Excellent food and really attentive service. Had an obnoxiously loud group right next to us, or score would have been perfect
I have to be cognizant of the noise level in restaurants. My husband wears two hearing aids, and if the music is too loud or if the tables are too close together that you hear the other people talking, that’s not a good experience for my husband. We always look for quieter restaurants or outside seating.
Very nice, will come again
Back of the house always on point. Compliments to the kitchen for yet another great meal. Front of the house...well...is consistently okay.
So disappointed in the Barrington location. The service was poor. we both had different chicken dishes, my companion had the half chicken with potatoes. The chicken was so dry and the potatoes had no taste on top of that they were cold. I had a chicken with pasta that was missable. It was like eating a frozen entree. We both had a cup of corn soup, which tasted like a can of cream corn the was put in a blender and reheated.
stay away from this place.
The food that showed up at the table was not what the description was on the menu. No flavor and cold! Worst Italian food I have ever had in my life! Room was so loud you couldn't even speak to the people you were with. When we complained about the food manager never came over but sent the waiter to tell us we could have a free dessert but did nothing about the entrees! We never took the dessert we just left never to return again.
Francesca’s in Barrington is part of a small chain of Francesca’s. The service is excellent, and the food is quite good. It is higher end Italian and other dishes, and the pizzas, which are reasonably priced, are both unique and delicious. There are other good dishes - the Salmon choices are quite good. Try it - you’ll like it!
Always reliable on all levels Thankful for his hometown business that always makes you feel welcome.
Good service, good food, nice setting. Appreciate that we were able to have a relaxful dinner with our out of town family.
We are long time Francesca’s customers and frequently dine there - at least once every few weeks.
The food and service is always excellent.
Unfortunately, our last three dinners have been interrupted by extremely loud parties. While there are separate rooms at this Barrington restaurant, the parties are frequently seated in the main dining room. The parties get louder as the evening wears on. The behavior is not just loud talking but yelling and singing as well distracting flash photographs.
Management has the prerogative to seat these parties in the private dining rooms. I question why they don’t do this as a routine practice.
Excellent as always! It was Lasagna Day and the portobello lasagna was absolutely delicious! Never dissatisfied here.
We were able to sit outside, it was a beautiful night. We had the Lasagna special and some wine.
Everything was great!
I haven't visited the Barrington location for approx. 2 years and it will be at least that long if not longer before the next visit. It took 3 attempts to get our appetizer correct; out of 2 meals, 1 was good and 1 fish dish was under cooked and raw in the middle (salmon). I also couldn't quite believe the size of the salmon relative to the price which either the fish should have been more generous or the price not so high for the size of the fish. It was not a crowded, busy night so there was really no excuse. On the bright side, the servers were wonderful and did everything they could to solve our food issues. They are to be commended. Sorry for being blunt but I will spend my dining dollars elsewhere.
Always reliable with a diverse menu and wine list. Good service.
Quality Italian restaurant in the downtown area of Barrington. Noise level can be high with a full restaurant. Wish they had an Olive appetizer tray. Walleye fish was prepared excellent and good portion control on vegetables. Overall, 4/4.5 Stars.
Husband and I had a lovely dinner at Francesca's. They special salad (corn, tomato and red onion) was interesting and very tasty. We both enjoyed our entrees. Both arrived fresh and hot.
Our server, Joy was attentive but not intrusive.
went for fish - for lunch and only had salmon - turned down AC before we left on a 95 degree day - sitting next to window - ugh
We had two children, who were picky. Although they had a very reasonable children's menu our kids wanted to order off the board and they were very accommodating. The adult entrees were excellent and everyone let happy.
Excellent service in the bar and at our table. Pasta was very good but not memorable.
Our server, Miguel, was wonderful. Very attentive and helpful!
We loved Francesca’s until this visit. Our family just got back in town and met to celebrate our twins 21rst birthday. The staff refused to serve them a drink because their ID pictures were not horizontal. They weren’t expired, they clearly showed their age, they are legal, and they were with their parents. If that is the policy, that should be posted on their website. This was disappointing, but I understand if that’s their policy. But when the manager leaned into my daughter and said, ‘you’ve had plenty of time to get your ID updated’, it was aggressive. This is the same person who was our waitress last year at their birthday dinner-at which time they accepted an ID with vertical orientation. Will not be returning.
Joy was our server and she totally made the evening! I was with a friend that I hadn't seen in a while and Joy gave us enough privacy that we could catch up while being attentive enough that we never needed a thing! My friend is pregnant so missing alcohol, Joy made her a wonderful mocktail that was beautiful and tasty. The food was amazing and we had a great time sitting outside side it was such a nice evening!
This is my favorite restaurant...reasonable prices...great food...exceptional service. It has a comfortable and inviting feel to an evening out.
Tried a couple of new dishes that were great. The food is always fresh and very good. A great go to spot for a very good meal. I will be back.
