Francesca's Campagna Ratings and Reviews
I was not impressed by this place at all. This was my first and last experience of this place. I took my husband here for Father's Day, only to be disappointed. I found the food to be very under cooked. We both ordered pasta dishes and the pasta was so hard and rubbery we could not eat it at all. We both took one bite and we were done because of how uneatable it was. Pasta is suppose to be al-dente, not thick and hard/ rubbery. The service was not very good, it took a while to get our drinks, which was a pepsi and a jack and coke. I chose this place because of its reviews and customer satisfaction, but this was a total let down, and for it being Father's Day celebration, i was very disappointed and will more than likely not return.
We enjoyed the calamari appetizer, the pasta entrees, and pizza. Our service was spot on. The Limoncello was nice finish to our meal. However we were disappointed when we arrived a little early for our 6:00 p.m. reservation to find out the restaurant that lists a 4:30 dinner time was closed for a private party. The party was over, but they would not even let us wait at the bar. The hostesses lacked a gracious, hospitable demeanor. They seem more suited to a snarky diner restaurant than a fine dining establishment. The one hostess waved the check around at our table loudly proclaiming what is this cash and credit card?
The cash was for a tip. She went to hand it to the only male at the table. The credit card was not a boy named Sue. Even when we arrived the second time both hostesses were harried and telling everyone to wait. They seemed in chaos mode.
We love going to Francesca's! We have never had a meal that disappoints...they are consistently on point with their food. Prices might be a little high for some people, but we know their ingredients are quality & it always tastes fresh so we're willing to pay more. Our kids love it there too...they don't order from the kids menu so they find something every time off the adult side. Plus, their menu changes a lot which means you'll get a unique experience each time.
Virginia our waitress was very informative about all the specials and great recommendations for first timers. We had a party of six, and we all were very comfortable, did not feel cramped at the table. Very attentive to our table. Can't wait to go back for a romantic evening.
Food was very delicious, but a bit pricey for the portion size. $19 for tortellini in a cream sauce, no meat or anything seems like a bit steep. This is definitely a once in while date night sort of place. Everything tasted wonderful and the service was great, too.
