The calamari is always amazing; ask for it sautéed.

the long waiting risotto tasted like uncooked rice with creamy water need a bit of salt... the same order we had last week was better...

Food was acceptable, but the pasta was slightly undercooked. Appetizers were perfect.

The salad was watery, the menu was hard to understand, the waiter was hard to understand and was rushed. We had reservations and ended up waiting 45min when we got their. The martini was aweful. And the tables were in bad spots. Not worth the money at all and would have rather paid for coopers hawk food.

We really enjoy Francesca's consistency and the fact that their menu isn't always the same. You can't go wrong with any pasta dish, they are the best. Like most places, the cost of a bottle of wine is so ridiculous...and ours was a bit warm. Service was well paced, though I think our server was overstretched. Unfortunately, people see fit to bring their kids way too often to this place, which can detract considerably from your experience. The food itself was excellent and service attentive and more than adequate. The West Dundee restaurant is almost too small for the business they do. It gets noisy and does feel a little too crowded, and tables are a bit too close together, though I guess some people like that.

Food was OK, but after having been to their other locations on several occasions, found their food not up to the same standard. The service was awful, almost left after the drink served incorrectly. Felt like we were being ignored by a distracted waiter and we were. It was downhill from there. We won't be back to this location. We'll give the chain another try since it seems the Dundee IL restaurant is the problem.

Great place for a romantic dinner. Prices are reasonable. Fresh bread and olive oil/pesto is excellent. Just wish the menu was a little easier to understand.

This has always been a favorite restaurant of mine and will continue to be because of the romantic atmosphere, constantly changing menus, and (of course) the absolutely amazing tiramisu and carpacio

Great time on the most romantic day of the year. Feb 14th and it was a great experience as the food was great. Their menu don't change but they had the food texture and food type based on the occation (heart shap reviolli) and some of the best wines to go with it. Was a bit pricy but money well spent.

Because it was Valentine's Day, It was Crowded, Loud, we never recieved our salad, and the tables were almost on top of one another !! The staff seemed confused and were delivering or attempting to deliver the wrong dishes to us and a number of tables around us. Very Chaotic !!

I have always loved Francesca's. The food is great, consistent and delicious. The staff is extremely on task and pleasant. The only slight complaint is that they really cram in tables. I understand the business reason behind it but I couldn't even walk to my table without hitting other chairs/coats of the guests already eating. And I am not overweight. Other than that, I love Francesca's and will always return.

Great food, adequate service considering it was Valentines Day. The staff was very busy of course but got us what we needed at appropriate times. The placement of our table was a disapointment. We had the waiters billing computer on one side, the front desk on the other and a blast of cold air from the entrance just a few feet away. At one point we had no less than 5 servers milling around the computer, which involved ones belly and anothers rear end hanging over the edge of our table at one point. We definitely felt crammed in. Because the food was so good we'll be returning on a normal night and imagine the seating will be more comfortable.

As our first time to any Francesca restaurant, we were WOW'd!!! The food was phenomenal. Their bruchetta romana is by far the BEST bruchetta I have ever had. Our pasta dishes were excellent as well. We are excited to return to Francesca's again.

Most of the food was excellent, but my husband's entree pasta was rubbery and bland.
The wine was over priced and they didn't have the first bottle we ordered.
The service was fine overall but an error was made in my husband's drink order.
We recieved someone else's check and overheard someone else say they too recieved the wrong check earlier.
The place was packed and it's small but we didn't feel cramped.

We always enjoy this small neighborhood restaurant. The food has never failed to be very good. Portion sizes can be shared or ordered as half portions. We got there early because later about 6:15 there was a crowd waiting for a table.

The restaurant was PACKED at 5:00. The wait staff were overworked and that affected the service. The prices are "high" for the portions received. For instance, I had a salad that was priced at $8.99 - it was way too small for the price. One meal had the pasta so undercooked that a KNIFE had to be used to cut it!! The tight seating is quaint when the restaurant isn't so packed, however, we had to endure countless smacks by guests purses or bags! My family has been coming to this restaurant for Christmes Eve for 10 years now. Seriously, after this experience, we are considering looking for a new restaurant. In summary, the overcrowding and overworked staff AND the increased price with decreased food portions has soured our palates.

We made an on line reservation three hours prior, but when we got there, the hostess was surprised we made one. We were never told the specials, that was very disappointing. The grouper that was listed on the menu tasted fishy and was missing the lump crab it claimed to have. The mussels and the desserts were great. But, we did get the feeling like we were being rushed. This was a very off experience compared to the other times we have been there.
