Great brunch menu and $5.00 mimosas and bloody’s
Always good and exceptional service.
Consistently good food all the time. Friendly, attentive service, a neighborhood gem.
Delicious! Great service.
Went to dinner with another couple. Very nice ambience, quiet enough to hear each other clearly. Solid food.
Lovely dining experience! We were there for my daughters 30th birthday celebration.
Experience, service and food was amazing!!!
Great Sunday Brunch options - great location and perfect for family brunch
Host, servers, and bus-staff all go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome and pampered! Delicious food, excellent service, cozy atmosphere—what’s not to like?
Pasta was not "al dente." Bolognese sauce was bland. Server was uninterested.
Linguine Mare e Monte was the better of the dishes served to our table.
Excellent service, accommodating to our special requests and made sure we were taken care of. Excellent meals, familiar but with a subtle twist to make it fresh. Great for a get-together, or a casual date.
Excellent! Love it ! Glad they are in our neighborhood.
Francesca's is such a consistent and yummy place to dine, quiet enough for great conversation and equally lovely food. Recommend :)
Loved the ambience have been to several other Francesca's this is my favorite had a great meal and a greatvwaitress!
Beautiful restaurant. Love the ambiance.
Very unique and special place. This place feels like a special celebration is always going on, fun vibe yet warm and cozy at the same time. Perfect atmosphere for a great dining experience.
Another delicious meal. Outstanding calamari. Super service. We'll be back-again and again.
Valentines dinner. The place was packed but we were seated right on time for our reservation. The server was great.
Valentine's Day meal. Francesca's is simply the best.
The food is okay, drinks were pretty bad, and the service was extremely slow. Their extra “Valentine’s touches” were pretty lame - balloons and overripe chocolate covered strawberries filled with strawberry goo. We won’t be going back.
Valentine’s Day seated at our favorite booth and had a delicious meal. Glad we got an early reservation, as it got super crowded . Popular spot, well deserved!
Excellent food. Always an absolute treat to eat there.
We did not know they served Brunch and were pleasantly surprised by their delicious menu. We will be back soon!
I would absolutely recommend the FRG groupm. Not this location. I have been a regular of this restaurants numerous locations for 17 years. I have never had such horrible service, rude, crude patrons sat next to us, and sub par food. Usually I thoroughly enjoy my experience because the intimate, attentive, thorough service. I will still go to Francesca's but not this one.
We love Francesca's! The welcoming atmosphere, excellent food, and outstanding service make it a standout!
One of the best brunch options in Edgewater.
Great food and cocktails were good as well. Local alcohol. Prices are not over price for the neighborhood. Will go again on a date or just for relax dinner with close friends.
Arrived 10 minutes early, waited 15 minutes for table. Had a beer at the bar while awaiting my guest. Received the best booth in the bar located in the corner. Carpaccio was fantastic appetizer with which to start. Unfortunately, the Open Table menu for the restaurant was outdated and the entrée I had anticipated on ordering was no longer available (16 oz. roasted steak).
Ordered the double filet which was spectacular in its own right. Price was reasonable and ambience was active but not overpowering. Will go again!
Great atmosphere. Enough noise to feel like you were out and about but quiet enough to have a conversation across the table. and our server was fantastic.
Best neighborhood Italian restaurant bar none!! Always consistent and always impressed. Service is top notch. Martinis are great. Solid wine list. Menu constantly changing so always fresh and seasonal. Fantastic Italian!
We eat at this restaurant at least twice a month for lunch or an early dinner. It is consistently deliscious!
Lovely neighborhood bar/restaurant with daily specials. Menu is not super extensive but nonetheless substantial, with something for everyone (even the gluten free amongst us— ask for their GF menu). Great value!
Have been in this place many time, food is always good and we had awesome servers. Love the cocktails and Wednesday spaghetti and meatballs night.
Always happy at Mia's on Bryn Mawr- comforting on these cold days. Highly recommend
New Year’s Eve
As always, amazing food and service. Never disappointed!
Very warm and festive mood for Christmas Eve. Our server Victor and his team were superb! They couldn't have been nicer. Lobster bisque and Osso Bucco were delicious. Thank you all. We are soon moving away from Chicago and will miss your hospitality.
This is a nice restaurant with a neighborhood feel. The host/hostess are warm and welcoming, the service is very good, and the food is excellent. Also liked the ambiance - it's not too casual but also not at all formal/stuffy. Parking is tough so it's worth the $10 to valet.
Great atmosphere. Noise level was perfect. They must have sound proofing because the restaurant was full yet the noise was subdued.
Great staff from bus people, servers, all the way up to bar manager. Great Christmas spirit.
Food was a bit off this time. Chicken sandwich had very strong olive oil flavor and in general everyone who had savory food thought it was too salty
I've never been a big fan of Francesca's but have gone to various of their spots then others wanted to go. But I wanted to write about this experience because of several things that went wrong. The worst was the "roast" chicken I had. I put it in "" because my best guess is this particular bird saw only a few minutes of roasting time at most. It was par-boiled to excess, leaving a chicken that was bland and pasty white when served. There was no point in sending it back, as I'm sure the result would have been the same. The other complaint was the drinks: a watered down Old Fashioned that was truly bad and a martini served up rather than over the rocks. On the plus side, the bolognese I got to replace the chicken was excellent.
