Francesca's at the Promenade opened its doors to quests in August of 2009, becoming the 19th restaurant to join The Francesca's Restaurant Group. This west-suburban outpost offers guests “simple rustic cooking, friendly service and fair prices,” which has been the winning recipe at all Francesca’s locations since 1992. Our menu features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. An eclectic wine list and one-of-a-kind martinis are the perfect accompaniment to an outstanding dining experience.

About The Francesca’s Restaurant Group: Founded in 1992 by Restaurateur Scott Harris, Francesca’s Restaurant Group has grown from a small, welcoming Italian restaurant on Chicago’s North Clark Street to a restaurant group of three concepts across 33 locations and four states. Based in Chicago, Francesca’s Restaurant Group currently owns and operates 23 Francesca’s Restaurants, five Davanti Enoteca, and five Glazed and Infused locations.

Food was good, service was ok. We waited a long time before he checked to see if wanted any dessert.

The restaurant had only the buffet!
They ran out of food, and not replenish until after the rush. The food that was there, tasted like it was from Chef BoyRDee or Franco American.
The buffet was left messy, and disgusting!!
Not what my wife wanted for her Mother's day!!!

Well after eating at this chain many times, I can say they blew it on Mother’s Day- not good

Served a buffet only, but didn’t advertise that in advance, ran out of food and service was poor as well. My main complaint is the fact that there was no recourse to the buffet “only” feature at $38 per head...ugh

Mother’s Day buffet was unimpressive. The food they did have was good, but they were out of nearly everything. Clearly not prepared. They had two meats, and ran out of one within 20 minutes of our arrival (6:15). They didn’t have meatballs or many of the desserts the entire one we were there. Buffet setup was poor as well, cramped and staff has to fight through the crowd to replace the few things they were restocking. I’m not sure if this was their first attempt at this, but it wasn’t worth the $300 tab.l for 6 people. We had heard Greer reviews about this restaurant and this was our first time there, so we were very disappointed.

The Mother’s Day brunch was very disappointing. The food was equivalent to a buffet at a work function. Even the Italian course options were under seasoned and tasted like it had been frozen. We will not be returning. Very disappointed as we love Francesca’s in the city.

Went for Mother’s Day brunch which was a buffet. The location is nice but the food was okay - for the price there wasn’t a lot of variety offered in their buffet and drinks were not included.

Loved having Mother's Day brunch at Francesca's. Great deal for all of the food provided. My mom was exceptionally happy with the shrimp cocktail and carving station. Breakfast and pasta options amazing. Would highly recommend!

Wife’s dish was wonderful. I had the shrimp and scallops with linguini in a spicy tomato sauce. The sauce was very bland.

We frequent this restaurant a lot and always order the banana fudge gelato for dessert to share. It’s usually two large scoops. They must have been running out because it look like one scoop that they cut in half.

One of the better restaurants in the area; service is really good; drinks are good; and the value proposition is high. The food is just OK, however. None of the pastas are made in house; those we had were all over cooked and served with watery sauces. Next time will go heavy on the starters and do try the Secondis (and skip the pasta courses).

Quite busy for a late lunch. Turned out there were multiple communion celebrations occurring. The whole restaurant was rather busy.

Made last minute reservations for Sunday dinner. I didn't realize it was actually closing time. The guy at the front desk accepted my reservation and allowed me to dine without feeling rushed - much appreciated. I really enjoyed the half roasted chicken with a great sauce.

Food was very good as usual. This particular restaurant is by far the best in the chain. It has plenty of room between tables and is decorated warmly.

Glad to see that this restaurant was not like the one on Frankfort (loud and tables where too close to each other). Bolingbrook restaurant is awesome. Will not be returning ever to Frankfort location!

We love Francesca's. My wife and I met my Mother and Step-Father for lunch. They had never been and we thought they'd enjoy it. They did. They loved their meals and desert. Our server and staff were very attentive and provided what ever we needed. Thumbs up!!

Restaurant was quite, we ate early and not crowded but they messed up our order. Food quality was just OK and a little on the pricey side. I would only go there for drinks and not for the food.

We LOVE Francesca's at the promenade but the service was absolutely terrible and its normally not like that. Took forever to get our drinks, we had no oil on our table, the waiter would disappear, he didn't check on us when our food came, he seemed overworked so we gave him the benefit of the doubt, but it was awful. The food was delicious, but the service sucked. Normally its top notch, but not that night. Disappointed.

Waitstaff at this location needs better training. It's inconsistent. No appetizer plates, no water, no cheese with the bread and oil(which they ALWAYS do). Drinks went empty, no rush to fill them. Waiter was nice but not ready for prime time. It's too bad because I love this group of restaurants and the space is nicer than our go-to Francesca's Passagio in south Naperville.

Food and atmosphere was great but this is the first time we've had a waiter that wasn't at all friendly. He certainly seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. I hope we don't encounter him again. All our other waiters have been just the opposite in demeanor.

I was very disappointed with the menu. The good Italian menu items have been replaced with entrees containing unusual combination of ingredients. I think they have deviated from the tasty "tried and true" entrees which made them so popular.

Absolutely wonderful experience. When I booked on open table, I left a note specifying that we would need two high chairs. When we arrived for our reservation, the table was already set and ready with the high chairs in place.

We had the bruschetta to start, which is always awesome. For our entree, we had the twin beef filets, as well. I usually get pasta at Francesca’s, but the filet was amazing.

Superb service and a great night!
