About Francesca's at the Promenade
Francesca's at the Promenade opened its doors to quests in August of 2009, becoming the 19th restaurant to join The Francesca's Restaurant Group. This west-suburban outpost offers guests “simple rustic cooking, friendly service and fair prices,” which has been the winning recipe at all Francesca’s locations since 1992. Our menu features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. An eclectic wine list and one-of-a-kind martinis are the perfect accompaniment to an outstanding dining experience.
About The Francesca’s Restaurant Group: Founded in 1992 by Restaurateur Scott Harris, Francesca’s Restaurant Group has grown from a small, welcoming Italian restaurant on Chicago’s North Clark Street to a restaurant group of three concepts across 33 locations and four states. Francesca's at the Promenade Ratings and Reviews
Met with friends and we’re well taken care of by our server. Food was fabulous and atmosphere was perfect. It’s difficult to find a bar that will make a raspberry martini without the use of preflavored vodka. If you like raspberry, try ordering the Death by Raspberry. They use a raspberry purée, world of difference. I’d also recommend the sea bass or salmon dish. Nice job from the chef to the servers. Thanks
As locals to the area we have been here many times and chose this restaurant for New Years Eve. The food is consistently good and the service is above average. One word of caution though. Unless you want to feel completely ripped off don't order the Asparagus salad. 4 strands of Asparagus, half a chopped tomato and a thimble of blue cheese for $8 was a complete joke.
This location has poor management and is grossly understaffed . Everytime we come , we some how get the most overwhelmed and forgetful waiter . I found a disgusting short thick hair in my pasta dish and the manager barely acknowledged it and was quite insincere . We are very spoiled from the locations in the city, especially Taylor where this find of service and management would never be acceptable . I think they stay busy due to lack of options in area / suburbs and mall location . People seem to have lower expectations of places around area is my guess .
RESERVED the table by the fireplace. A WALK-IN just ahead of me asked for it & done! They did not honor the reserved spot. I know she had not reserved it. I am truly disappointed. Instead they sat us outside the noisy kitchen, where the staff constantly walks by. We asked to move. Obviously making a reservation is a waste of time?
Nice variety on menu and good food but service very lacking - great intro then they forget about you. Our service got distracted with a large table and once we received our meals never came back. When we complained to the GM he said that was their best waiter and rather than offering any consideration simply took care of getting our bill. Nice restaurant to have in the neighborhood but they are many other choices we will consider first next time.
My friend and I enjoyed the food as always. We regret that the menu doesn’t offer new dishes. We have been coming here for many years and when we make plans this restaurant is always selected for convenience first. We always remark on the lack of creativity and surprise. Only one special per category should not be the rule.
