About Francesca's at the Promenade
Francesca's at the Promenade opened its doors to quests in August of 2009, becoming the 19th restaurant to join The Francesca's Restaurant Group. This west-suburban outpost offers guests “simple rustic cooking, friendly service and fair prices,” which has been the winning recipe at all Francesca’s locations since 1992. Our menu features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. An eclectic wine list and one-of-a-kind martinis are the perfect accompaniment to an outstanding dining experience.
About The Francesca’s Restaurant Group: Founded in 1992 by Restaurateur Scott Harris, Francesca’s Restaurant Group has grown from a small, welcoming Italian restaurant on Chicago’s North Clark Street to a restaurant group of three concepts across 33 locations and four states. Based in Chicago, Francesca’s Restaurant Group currently owns and operates 23 Francesca’s Restaurants, five Davanti Enoteca, and five Glazed and Infused locations.

Francesca's at the Promenade Ratings and Reviews
RESERVED the table by the fireplace. A WALK-IN just ahead of me asked for it & done! They did not honor the reserved spot. I know she had not reserved it. I am truly disappointed. Instead they sat us outside the noisy kitchen, where the staff constantly walks by. We asked to move. Obviously making a reservation is a waste of time?
Nice variety on menu and good food but service very lacking - great intro then they forget about you. Our service got distracted with a large table and once we received our meals never came back. When we complained to the GM he said that was their best waiter and rather than offering any consideration simply took care of getting our bill. Nice restaurant to have in the neighborhood but they are many other choices we will consider first next time.
My friend and I enjoyed the food as always. We regret that the menu doesn’t offer new dishes. We have been coming here for many years and when we make plans this restaurant is always selected for convenience first. We always remark on the lack of creativity and surprise. Only one special per category should not be the rule.
We had a wonderful dining experience. Our server was attentive and timed the courses for the meal perfectly. The food was amazing. My husband had the cream of mushroom soup and loved it. He also had the veal marsala. The marsala sauce was some of the best I've every tasted. I had rigatoni with sausage. It had a wonderful light sauce. We both enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. Will definitely return!
Every other month my book club goes out to a nice restaurant for lunch. We take turns recommending restaurants and my turn was in September. I chose Francesca's because of the special 3 course meal they offer at lunch which includes soup with bruschetta, a full entree off the lunch menu and a lucious dessert. The food choices are great. I had salmon and shrimp with spinach and capers. Delicious! And the price was very fair for the quality and amount. Francesca's is one of my favorite places for Italian food. On top of that, we had a delightful waiter who gave us quality attention. It was a great experience and my lady friends had a wonderful time.
