Carpaccio alla Francesca*
Thinly-sliced raw sirloin with capers, tomatoes, mushrooms, olive oil, and parmigiano
classic caesar with garlic croutons, roasted peppers & parmesan
Rigatoni del Boscaiolo
Sautéed with wild mushrooms, braised veal, herbs, garlic, and olive oil in a tomato sauce
The so called rice balls we ordered were very disappointing. They were deep fried mozzarella balls that tasted like the oil they were cooked in needed to be replaced.
They consistently have good food. Roasted chicken is excellent.
Long time customer. Had another great dinner with top notch table service on Tuesday evening. Really loved the mussels appetizer. Not sure why, but the young man at the front desk that evening was basically a condescending little snit.
Great tasting food and ecxellent service. Wide variety of menu choices.
Food is always good in the service is great. The staff is always friendly. Drinks are always cold as well :-)
Deeeeeelicisous! As always. Reliable value. Never disappointed. Will keep coming back.
We were seated and served quickly and offered wine and appetizers. Everything was going excellently and then we didn’t see our server for 40 minutes. Folks around us were seated, served and had left in the time it took us to get our entrees. Food was excellent.
Always excellent food and service. My wife and I always enjoy
Food was excellent we enjoyed ourselves and will be back
A welcome return to in person dining at one of our very favorite neighborhood spots. Delicious food, outstanding service!
Beautiful restaurant, great friendly service, never disappoints. The smaller dining room is way too loud. Hard to hear the other people at your own table.
Little noisy but great food
Everything was good!
Great place for dinner. Went during restaurant week and they had great choices. Felt like they were respecting Covid protocol
Sat Dinner: Arrived @ 7:00 to find a very busy and high energy front desk that quickly moved us to our table. Dennis was our server, we really enjoyed his red and white wine recommendations, and his table service from start to finish was top notch. We loved the soup, calamari, and fresh pasta dishes. The dining room tables were nicely spaced out, and everyone (staff and patrons) was adhering to COVID precautions - which was greatly appreciated. We will be back soon!
Always enjoy our time at this restaurant. We had a safe seating arrangement. Andy is a terrific bartender and always makes our time fun. Food was very good. Highly recommend!
Excellent food! Great service! Love this restaurant!
A reliable favorite. The food is always well prepared and freshly made from high quality ingredients. Modest size menu covers a good variety of proteins and pastas. They will gladly cook off he menu if they have the ingredients.
Dennis is by far the best server ever! The food is always good and it will forever be our favorite Elmhurst restaurant!
We both got the ribeye entree and it was so fatty we couldn’t even eat it. Very disappointing.
This restaurant is doing such an AMAZING job with COVID precautions. Tables are spaced out really well, all staff in masks. We felt extremely safe! The food is always fantastic and so is the service. Can’t wait to return!
Went for dinner with a friend and Francesca’s didn’t disappoint. Fabulous service, food and experience overall.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner. Service and food were outstanding!
Love Francesca's! Food was great. Dennis is back! Best server ever!
Always good food and service. Tables were socially distanced wit appropriate precautions.
Food was delicious and light. Ambiance was perfect.
As always and great meal and attentive, but not intrusive service.
I enjoyed it and the food was good. I didn’t care for the music playing at the time. It was more rock and not the Italian or jazz type instrumental that I am used to at a place like that.
We were reluctant to be eating indoors but Francesca’s did a great job. The tables were well spaced apart and we felt safe. The food was excellent as always. We will definitely return.
Great food and service
Waiter, food and drink were great!
Best restaurant in Elmhurst! Great staff, service and meals!
Great food, service and ambiance. Love having Francesca's in our town, never disappoints!
Everything was perfect. Staff friendly, food excellent.
Tasty food, good portion, quick service in a nice location. Highly recommended
We’ve eaten here 3 times. Enjoyed the first 2 times. I’m sure it’s hard at this time but everything seemed a little flat. I ordered the crab cakes and my date ordered the prime rib. Good but wanted a wow! Nice bar window seating and atmosphere though. Service was quick but could have been a little more attentive and less cavalier. Will return but hoping for just a little more.
New Year Eve
I reserved a table for a birthday celebration. The manager was always in the back, the phone was ringing loudly and incessantly, a servers cell phone was going off at the bar incessantly, a server was whistling in the front loudly; we were at the round booth right in front. My side salad looked like it was made 3 days beforehand and was inedible and disgusting. No linguini or rigatoni noodles in the house? Boo! The alfredo sauce tasted as though someone dumped a cup of salt in it plus a whole onion to boot. Our server came around real fast with the bottles of booze $$ but hardly after that to check on us & there were maybe 3 other couples there dining around us. Our server came back & asked us if we wanted to order dessert when I had already asked for a festive birthday dessert with the name "Michael" in the request. I had to get up & approach the manager because NOW I was getting upset ... I asked him if he looked at the reservation to see what I had requested & his face went blank and then said, "yes of course" I said its for a birthday and he looked at our server who was up there & they both nodded like they knew what was going on ... neither knew what I requested otherwise the server would NOT have asked us if we wanted dessert, brought out the cake & then asked if we wanted anything else besides that. To be fair my steak was cooked perfectly, everyone was wearing their masks & the tables were spaced apart to make us feel extremely safe. The birthday boy left one of his cards on the table in a rush to get out of there. As we got in the car, maybe 4 minutes later, he realized he left the card. He went inside and they said there was no card on the table. BS! Now I had to call and get involved again & spoke to Carlos who said there was no card & if it was on the table it would be in the garbage ... GO GET THE CARD!!! So finally he said someone brought it up and left it at the front desk. WTH is happening there? Not what we have experienced in the past
in my opinion, some of the best italian food in the city metro area. I want them to put the lasagne back on the menu
