Foxfire Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Not one of my best visits to the Foxfire. My steak was overcooked, coming out well done versus the medium that I ordered. It was dry. The asparagus that I ordered was also overcooked, coming out black on one side. The restaurant was very busy, and while not thrilled, it was not bad enough to send back. Other restaurants in town include a salad and a side. I really don't like the ala carte menu at Foxfire. Other restaurants where the others are included seem to be a better value.
It was a great place for my friend and I to meet for lunch. We wanted to do something different for the Christmas Outing. The staff was very polite and the food was good. I would love to go back with my husband for dinner, just has a nice atmosphere. It was a very hectic day in downtown Geneva, but this restaurant made you feel relaxed. I hope to go back soon!!
Shrimp scampi appetizer was excellent. But our entrees were not served hot enough. I had prime rib; and that, along with the baked potato, was not very tender or served very hot. I could understand if we were a large party, but it was just 3 of us. Pork chop and filet medallions were very good but also not warm enough.
Everything about this place was awesome. My wife and I went there to celebrate with a few friends. Our server Jess was great none of her recommendations were off. The owner came over to see how everything was going too. Couldn’t ask for a better experience for a special day.
Went there for my girlfriend's birthday as she was in the mood for a nice steak. This place did not disappoint. Kevin was our server and made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and confident in his abilities and the location.
He offered recommendations, gave suggestions, and joked around with us for a few good laughs. He also anticipated our needs before we even had to ask.
We shared the Calamari as our starter, and then moved onto the side Wedge and Side Apple/Beet salad for myself. The calamari was fresh and lightly fried with a wonderful spicy-Asian style sauce that was just enough heat but not too heavy in flavor or fat. The salads were appropriately portioned and delicious with fresh ingredients.
My girlfriend ordered the Filet Oscar rare with asparagus, and I had their Bordone Medium Rare (NY Strip with sautéed garlic that melted like butter and a wonderful pepper/caper salad) with a side of fingerling potatoes. Both came out cooked to perfection and melted like butter against the knife.
We finished with a White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake and despite it being a cheesecake, it was actually light and fluffy like a cloud and not heavy either.
Overall it was wonderful, my girlfriend was elated for her birthday, and really appreciated the effort of the staff to make her feel special being our first time dining there. We shall return!
The food was excellent, especially the Mahi Mahi with seafood risotto. We had great service and the atmosphere was comfortable with a beautiful arched wood ceiling and an exsposed brick wall. Definitely give this place a try!!!
Amazing restaurant in Geneva. Wife and I celebrated our 5yr anniversary this past weekend and it was one of our best meals we've had. Top 2 steaks I've ever had anywhere. Filet Oscar was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting a fabulous meal.
The menu has been changed since last year and it is much better, The Mahi mahi with seafood rice is delicious and so are the lemon drop martinis. Friendly staff and owner. I made a sugggestion last year that they not cook the calamari so much...it was tough the 3 times we had tried it. It was great this time...very tender.
