One of our favorite restaurants. Wait was long even thought we had a reservation. My favorite restaurant for prime rib but was first time it was tough and inedible. Uncharacteristic for Restaurant contribute these two concerns due to perhaps valentines crowd.
The only negative issue is that the walleye had several bones.
The Ahi tuna appetizer and prime rib dinner were excellent
Great food. Excellent service.
This was our second time at Fox Fire. The food is delicious.
Kevin our sever was AMAZING. His professionalism and attention to detail in our group of 6 was impressive. My kids loved him! Drinks were perfect. We all ordered steak or seafood and each was good, not excellent, but the service and ambiance made our experience!
We have been to Foxfire twice, both special occasions. The staff is attentive, fun and knowledgeable. Recommend it highly.
Overall, an okay experience, but not one that leaves me wanting to return soon. The restaurant is known for steak but also offers a variety of seafood and so I had the pan-seared scallops. They were flavorful but over cooked and tough. My impression is that this really is a meat - eaters restaurant only. Service was pleasant although a bit slow to start.
Good Food and service even though they were very busy.
The Food was great and the service may have been better.
Very good. Great ownership!
As always, great food & service. Our go to location for special occasions for many years.
This was the best quality food and ambiance that I have experienced in Geneva. The value was great during restaurant week but it is always great. Best place in town- especially when the owner sings Johnny Cash!
From the start of our date it was a great experience. Foxfire gave us time to relax a glass of wine prior to ordering our meal. The fireplace added special ambience for our date as well. Food was delicious, great Chicken Marsala as well as Bourbon Pork chop. We plan to return to the Foxfire
My experience here was overall good garlic mashed potatoes were dry but other that fabulous
The bacon wrapped dates were great. Everything else was fair.
We went for a birthday dinner. It was restaurant week, and dinner was an excellent value. Go appetizers we ordered the prime rib bruschetta, it was outstanding! We also ordered the calamari, also very good. I had the horseradish salmon with asparagus, it was great. Overall good experience! Not too noisy, good beer & wine selection too!
We went for Restaurant week in Geneva, IL. Had a wonderful boneless strip steak for 2.
Also a asian style sweet and sour calamari.
Desert Chocolate with icecream on top.
I've been here a few times to celebrate birthdays and a special event in the summer. It's a wonderful restaurant, great food, very pretty. The wait staff is attentive without being overbearing and of course the food is delicious! I would highly recommend Foxfire, especially for special occasions. We love the seating by the fireplace. A special thank you for the restaurant for honoring my request and seating us there for my daughters birthday the other evening.
We tried Foxfire about two weeks ago. The restaurant was really busy but we got a drink at the bar till our reservation time came. We were seated promptly and our waitress was very good and extremely friendly. We ordered two appetizers the dates and the eggrolls they were both great. We had a couple hiccups with our entree coming out from the kitchen, the waitress apologized and the owner came right over and did the same. We weren't really worried about it but when the meal came it was missing some stuff. The owner once again came by and apologized and offered us a certificate to a later time and gave us dessert on the house. They really made up for the mistakes by making sure we were happy at the end. Stuff happens in restaurants we understand that. In saying that we will definitely be going back the food was good we just hit an off night in the kitchen. Great place and food! The owner should be proud.
I love the place, great food and great ambiance for a date or a special occasion
