Four Winds Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
The Escargot was slightly sandy. We frequently eat at this restaurant & I always order this appetizer. The chicken fried tenderloin was just okay.....it usually is seasoned to perfection, but the spices were a little heavy & the slices of tenderloin were paper thin so all I tasted were the seasonings & breading.
Was very good and worth every bit! Was very nice and the staff was absolutely professional. The steaks were cooked to perfection! My wife had a "well done" filet mignon and cut it with her fork, truely phenomenal! We've been to other "high-end" steakhouse and have been greatly disappointed. You'll be glad and happy with yourself knowing you made the best decision in your life to dine here! So do yourself a favor and go ahead and book a table!
We just moved to the area from Houston and this was our first time there. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food as well as the pricing. When you look at some other steakhouses in Houston they are very overpriced for the same quality of food.
We love coming to four winds! The food is fabulous (especially the crab cakes which are best in the world), the service is splendid, and the atmosphere is relaxing, intimate, and uptown! We have been all over the world and this is one of our very favorite places to eat!! Don't miss out on an excellent dining experience!
We have been to Four Winds several times now. Every time has been special. We have had big groups up to twenty, and have dined just the two of us. Everything was perfect for the occasion. When we were alone, the wait staff was personally attentive. When the group was big, they were efficient, and left us alone. In all cases, the food and service were outstanding. We love Four Winds!
I have been to Four Winds for several occasions. The last two experiences haven’t been as good as before. The food is unbelievable but the service slacked. We felt rushed and we had the same server twice now and she just isn’t Four Winds material. She rushes us to order our food and just isn’t very friendly. This is a disappointment since we have an hour drive to the restaurant.
This was our first time at the Four Winds, and we were delighted. The highlights of the evening were the crab cakes (to die for) and the rib eye (the best I've had in 20 years in Texas). It's obvious that considerable effort has gone into providing high quality beef. Our salads were not special, but my mushrooms and onions side was generous and very good tasting. My wife liked the beef tips and noodles, but I'll stick with the steaks. Service was efficient, courteous, and at a leisurely pace, and dinner for 2 lasted just under 2 hours. I would say the pricing was moderate, and a good bargain considering the high quality of the food. I've paid a lot more for meals elsewhere that I didn't enjoy as much. We've already made reservations for another visit, this time with friends : )
