Four Winds Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
We have made the trip to Four Winds several times (40 minute drive from Cedar Creek Lake) and find it is worth the trip! The quality of steaks and other menu items is on the same quality as the finer steak houses in DFW.
It is takes some planning to get a reservation for the date/time that you are looking for, simply because of the others that have found this fine dining experience
This is one of our favorite steak houses. Unfortunately our last visit with our best friends, visiting from Philadelphia, did not meet my usual expectations. However my guests thought it was fantastic. I was not able to tell if they honestly thought that. I simply felt my ribeye steak was not up to your standard. Otherwise, it was everything I expected.
Reserved through Open Table, worked great. Had a great experience. Food was awesome. Price is relative when the food is that great. On the reservation it asks if this reservation is for a special occasion. So, at the end of dinner - the dessert was created specially for the occasion and I didn't have to ask for it. We will definitely be back.
I heard this is was an excellent steakhouse and I was not disappointed. The drive was well worth it. The food was excellent, the view of the lake beautiful, the staff friendly, courteous, and professional! Everything about our experience was five star. I will definitely recommend and return to this restaurant soon. Thank you!
We arrived at a little before 5:00 and were seated next to the room that houses the bar. We could see through the windows that there were approximately 12-15 members of the wait staff in the bar just visiting. After what seemed to be too long of a time, they started to trickle out to tend to customers.
We are gluten free and when they brought the bread for the table, we gently declined. The waiter took our order and then went to find the guy that delivered the bread to come pick it up. We ordered steak and salad. When our salad was delivered by a different server, it was swimming in dressing - so much so that I had to try to drain each piece and put it on another plate. Our waiter was no where we catch his attention to have him fix it. Our steaks arrived. The waiter checked to make sure everything was as ordered and then was gone; we didn't see him again until the meal was over. During the meal, a server came by to fill our water glasses. I asked her if I could get some Horse Radish to go with my steak. Rather than just getting it, she said she would tell my waiter. I don't know if she did, but I never heard from the waiter. A different staff person came by to collect my plate and I told her that I wasn't done yet. She stopped back by 3 minutes later. and again a few minutes later. Wait staff seldom realize that when you have 2 people at a table, and you pick up one set of plates, it puts the other one under pressure to finish up because they either feel like they are just being watched while eating or they are holding up the evening. It makes things uncomfortable.
All-in-all, and for the price, this was not a pleasant experience. The serving staff were unattentive, the support staff was efficient, but seemed to be there more to meet the policies of the restaurant rather than take care of the guests. The salad was awful, but the steak was OK.
Took my wife there for her birthday. We are a younger couple and feel as though we were stereotyped by our age. We didn't get any service until we sat there for 20 minutes. The manager apologized and gave us free desert. But we were in the reserved area. How do you over those people
It was a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. A high end Ranch Steakhouse. Casual, but with white tablecloths. Excellent service and food. The wine list was excellent, but a little pricy. They had fried oysters as an appetizer special the night we were there and I would say that was the highlight of our meal.
We have been to Four Winds on multiple occasions, and every single time we leave completely satisfied. A top notch menu, prepared perfectly every time, with the finest service one could experience. Friendly and completely accommodating. This is our "go to" place for our anniversary. Great ambiance, country upscale. Feel comfortable in jeans or a suit. 5 stars for me as they never disappoint.
Everyone in our party had a steak. They were prepared from cool rare to well done and they were all done beautifully.
The restaurant was lovely and the location was incredible. We look forward to returning when the weather is warmer to enjoy the outdoor scenery more.
I would have to say this is my favorite Steak house, I take customers to a wide variety of steakhouses all over the Dallas Ft Worth area, the food is excellent, atmosphere is very relaxed, and the staff is very professional. I have been to this restaurant sometimes more than 2 times a month for several years, can't help but give 4 winds 5 stars.
