I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The filet was cooked to perfection. The wait staff was amazing. When we come back to the city this restaurant will be one of our stops.
Basically the worst meal I have had in New York City. The service wasn’t great either. Poor detail in presentation and over cooked meat - bones in fish- I do not recommend.
2nd time. Great service and steak!!! I enjoy dining here. sometimes the restaurant can get overcrowded.. maybe improve seating arrangement?
Food poorly cooked and the wine list is weak and even that is mostly out of stock
We live in the neighborhood and have had dinner at 4 cuts several times. Food quality is inconsistent.
Excellent service but the food is so ordinary. There are much better steak houses in the city.
We've had two terrific meals in a span of four months and Four Cuts is now a destination for us as out of town visitors. Excellent food, steak-house priced (but not overpriced), marvelous, friendly and attentive service, a wide variety on the menu including outstanding fish and meat selections, delicious desserts... this is a wonderful restaurant. Go and enjoy; you'll go back again and again.
I like this restaurant. good food. good service. good location.
The waiter put on his “New York” waiter act. We asked for a cocktail menu and he said he was the menu. We trusted him to make us a fruity vodka cocktail but we received something like a gimlet with beer. We had him replace it with a Mojito. The bread that quickly arrived was stale. The meat, while properly cooked, was just OK and I have my doubts it was Prime as it said on the menu. A side of soggy fries, and unremarkable apps rounded out the meal. We skipped dessert.
I enjoyed the price fixed meal - 1/2 dozen oysters + 8 oz filet + creme brûlée- for 40.99 (including the $5 upcharge for the filet. Everything was delicious. This restaurant is under appreciated. Wait staff very friendly, good service!
it was alright. not the best meat dish in NYC..but it's worth the money paid. overall atmosphere and service was good
Service was impeccable, place was quiet on the evening I went, but overall the food experience was subpar. Salmon tartar was delicious, tomato and mozzarella were ok, the ribeye and creamed spinach were good. Bonus dessert on the house... and wine selection was good as well.
Great food! Great service! There wasn’t one thing that we didn’t enjoy. The baked clams, bacon, surf and turf & creme brûlée, cheese cake plus wine was outstanding.
Excellent (but expensive) restaurant/ food
Our waiter and bartender were excellent, drinks were great and food was outstanding.
The food was just average . Steak not juicy and a bit over cooked
The food was outstanding and the service was out of this world. The staff was very attentive to make sure everything was well presented and the patrons served.
Just so so
Pricy for whatbit was
The owner had a loud coice and was
Talking to one table next to me
Was very loud and irritating
Amazing. The best steak ever and fantastic service. Nothing negative to say :)
once we asked to see the menu for specials, service went down hill quick. Steak was over done.
My friends and I had a great time and a really great meal. Our waiter Tony was fantastic and he and his team provided great service. 4 people in our party shared a porterhouse for 2 and a Tomahawk Ribeye so it was great to try several different cuts. Thanks to Tony for suggesting that. We will be back. Very good price point as well.
Exceptionally welcoming, warm and attentive service. Tables are nicely spaced, ambiance is both dignified and charming. Menu offers ample portions of meat, fish, seafood and vegetables, simply prepared.
Superb food ,service and personal care
The maitre’d Tony is amazing! Extremely attentive
Great food and service. Can’t understand why they are not moved.
Delicious steaks, great cocktails, and nice quiet atmosphere...exceptional service
Great baked clams and sirloin steak cooked exactly to requested temperature. Friendly and dedicated servers.
Delicious meal, nice service. Didnt get a wine list; the waiter simply recited the types of wine.
To start, the food was amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly and everything with it was delicious. On another note, our dinner took 4 hours to complete causing us to miss other plans we had made. The service was also not great and felt like our server didnt care about us at all. It felt like we were being discriminated against because we were a younger couple (in our 20's) as we watched other tables being helped on the regular. I ordered a glass of wine and saw it sitting on the counter for 20 minutes until i could get someone else's attention to bring it over to me. So that being said, the food was great but i will not be returning because of the insane price and incuded gratuity on top of the bad service we recieved.
We went for new years and booked with OT. Never were told about limited menu with expensive prices with an automatic 20% tip. The food was good but the service terrible. But what waiter would really care when your tip was included on a party of 2. We received a salad, small plate of seafood to share , a steak, dessert for $155 each plus 20% tip plus $15 for each drink. Totally $460. The drinks were $15 each unless you went to the bar($12 each) like had to do because our waiter wasn't good. He did give me 2 free drinks since I had to keep getting my on drinks. Also it was 14 degrees outside and probably 40 degrees on the inside. The door wouldn't stay shut. It kept blowing open and I got out of my seat and closed it myself a few times. Overall the food was good but poor service and management. Will not go back.
We had an amazing dinner here!! Great food..and our waiter Tony was awesome !!
When our go-to steakhouse was booked up, we decided to try a new place for an anniversary dinner. The steak was quite good, if a little cool in some sections. Sides were excellent. The staff was a lot of fun and made sure we were having a good time too.
Excellent service and food. Highly recommend this place!
We had our family Christmas Eve dinner here and it was lovely. The service was absolutely superb-they didn't have any earl grey tea and Tony, our waiter, ran down the street to get some.
Food was very good, although they tend to undercook the steaks/tuna so beware. However, they totally made it right when we said something. Wines were nice and again, our waiter went out of his way to ensure we got what we were looking for. The list was a bit limited though. One Zinfandel and I don't think there was one Californian on the list.
All in all, it was a really enjoyable evening.
Very nice service, we've been warmly welcomed and the was very attentive and friendly.
The meat was excellent, very good quality and perfectly cooked. We really enjoyed our evening there.
I also had a very good Montepulciano by the glass.
My husband and I had a lovely dinner on Saturday 12/9. Our waiter, Tony, was fabulous. Service from the entire staff was attentive without being intrusive. Tony recommended a wonderful bottle of wine to go with our steak and veal chop. Both entrees were cooked perfectly. My husband had the French onion soup and he said it was the best he had ever had. We will definitely be back when we are next in NYC!
4 Cuts is a wonderful steakhouse in a neighborhood that has no steakhouses. The steak is as good as any steak restaurant. They know how to char the meat and still serve a rare steak that is hot temperature wise. Definitely a place to go to in the neighborhood.
Very pleasant staff that couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome. Our server, Tony was terrific & continually checked on us to make sure everything was good. The food was prepared perfectly & had a lot of flavor.
Superb food and service
Awesome! Food was fantastic and reasonably priced.
