I had a wonderful experience, great waiter and I met the chef. Very friendly with great food
Service was great. Food was great. The place was really cool. It was a bit pricey.
I picked this restaurant because it was walking distance from our hotel. We were celebrating my sons birthday. It was hard to find the entrance and we were not treated well at the sister restaurant. The interior is dark and weird, but New Orleans vibe. We were only ones in restaurant and seated in corner booth that had pillows and curtain. I'm not sure what all they expected us to do, but we just came for a nice meal. Food was good and service was great! It was expensive and not sure if i would go again.
Atmosphere is to die for. Service is good. Wine list pretty good. Overpriced but...you let that slide. On our particular visit the strip steaks were practically inedible due to sinew. Really poor. Service didn’t offer to offset, but we didn’t push it either. Other food was just fine.
This without any doubt is the best food that I have even eaten.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. Even got a sweet setup of free tickets to the Little Stephen show. Love the VIP access to the upper level of the venue.
Was my newly wed husbands birthday & we wanted a private quiet dinner & even tho dining room completely empty, hostess sat us facing the exit door & then sat a huge loud party of 6 adjacent to our table & completely ruined our evening; steak was terribly cooked & server did not tell me chicken was thigh meat which I do not eat so bad food too.
The Foundation Room was a really neat spot. The food was delicious and once we got to our table everything was very nice. We were disappointed because we had a reservation but had to wait 45 min for a table. The ambiance was nice enough, but we were starving.
The room and bar are exceptional. Food was good but not on a par with the best NOLA has to offer but the atmosphere made up for it.
The food and service was very good. A wonderful evening...
From the description, we thought we would be having dinner while watching and listening to musicians perform. Unless you only wanted "bar food" and wanted to sit on couches, this was not correct. The dining area was fine, but we were also not aware that on Thursdays, (not sure if it's every Thursday) they only offer a prix-fixe Italian dinner. The food was just OK, nothing I would praise highly. The music was fine, but not anything special.
It was a date night for the wife and I, it was her first visit and we loved it. Service was great as was the food!
Fantastic as always. Drinks were perfect. Service was perfect. Food was perfect.
We made reservations without knowing exactly what we were getting into. We had an amazing experience. When we arrived we were able to listen to some live music while are table was getting ready. We were then escorted to small private area for dinning and my first thought was "oh no, what have I gotten us into, this will cost a small fortune" but the prices were extremely reasonable. The waitstaff was friendly and quick to offer advice when asked about different items. The food was great. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it!
Flawless, from arrival to departure. attentive and friendly service without being intrusive or pretentious. food was absolutely delicious. would recommend highly for all occaisions.
Wonderful service. It was a very calm night so we had lots of time to enjoy our water and the beautiful blues.
Great music, good food and outstanding service. The band was outstanding. Very small dining are fits only 10 tables.
Very expensive but we had a great time. Music was great during dining and we danced after we finished our meal.
Very small dining room with limited seating so make reservations in advance.
Love this little hide a way spot. I think there is 10 tables in the whole place. If your are looking for an intimate dinner with good service yet not overly attentive to the point of nagging you, this is it. Food was very tasty. Steaks cooked to temperature. Drinks were on point and ambiance was killer.. Perfect date place.
There was a mouse in the restaurant. Dis not get a refund. Would be an excellent review, but it cannot be.
Food was wonderful and our waiter (Mike) was top notch. We would definitely return
Our first time to dine at the Foundation Room.....and it will not be our last! The décor and vibe is great with very attentive service to match. Fairly limited menu (which I like), but the quality of the food was excellent. Stayed after dinner in the bar area for live music. You will not be disappointed.
We were there for New Years Eve. The problem was, once you finished dinner, there was no where to sit. All of the seating was reserved, but they didn’t tell us there was no where to sit.
Awesome Steak, service and atmosphere but pricey compared to similar restaurants in the area
Great staff always very attentive and accommodating
Jake Landry and his band are also a plus
Incredible experience, the food was incredible, especially the Crawfish fritters. The drinks were amazing and so was the dessert.
I loved it! It was my favorite place in New Orleans.
I have been going to New Orleans for years and cannot think of a better place for a date. Ambiance is terrific. Noise level is perfect for conversation. Guitarist the night I went was terrific. Food wonderful. I travel a lot and think this Is one of the best date local in the country.
First time there and the service was perfect. The staff greeted us by name and our booth was comfortable fostering great conversations. Their mixed drinks were second to none and offered a complex aroma and evolving taste only a master bartender can muster. The food was at the perfect temperature and well-balanced. Overall, this place is going to be a definite go to for me and my wife.
It was amazing and our waitress Brandy was informative, personable and kind. Her recommendations for foods and wine pairing was amazing!
We found this place online & it sounded great. The live music was excellent. Note that if you want to tip the musicians, keep in mind that you will also be charged $4.00 music fee per person on your bill! We gave our order to the waiter explaining that We'd like a 20 minute break between our appetizer & the entree. He said "no problem". We ended up waiting an HOUR for our entrees. During this time a different waiter rudely kept taking the water jug from our table to serve the large table near us without acknowledging us at all. The waiter who took our order ignored us completely during the hour long wait. We ended up telling another waiter that we were still waiting for our food. Finally when our food arrived delivered by our original waiter - no apology. VERY poor service. The food was ok - nothing outstanding. The shrimp bisque was very tasty.
Best service I've ever received in six year stay in New Orleans! Beauty dinning room, amazing crab cakes and an attentive waiter (I believe his name is Mathew)
I most definitely will be returning.
Birthday good time
Ambience is great, but very limited food options.
Great meal and the staff was a much higher caliber than most restaurants. Much like a private club where they know you. Ambiance is Fantastic.
Nice little hideaway. Love the décor; Went during Halloween season so the place was all decked out in Halloween style. Food was on point, and service was just right, not overbearing... Will be back here soon enough during Mardi Gras and FQ Fest.
Delicious appetizers and entrees. Pork belly and crab cakes were great way to start meal. Fish and scallops were tasty. Attentive and personable staff.
Food passable not great. had chicken- fried was hard, duck just kind of there. Appetizer was crab cake. Pretty good but had so much crawfish roumalade sauce couldn't taste the crab cake. Ambiance good.service very good. Think I'd try the steak filet next time, but is pricey
This a must go to place! They take you down a long hall then up an elevator, very interesting place, like out of a movie. We had the pan seared snapper, it was prepared perfectly. The wine bottle prices are very pricey, however, it was worth it for the occasion 😊
We were fortunate to dine on Italian night. The food was great. Isack, our server, did a great job and added much to the enjoyment of the evening. Will be back.
